BetteDavisEyes 10-18-2006 01:12 PM

That's a good theory. I wonder what the little girls power is though.

BetteDavisEyes 10-24-2006 12:28 AM

WOOHOO! WAFFLES!

Hiro is by far the best character EVER! He keeps me laughing throughout this show. I also liked the older Petrelli bro shirtless. Yummmm...but he was pretty funny asking Hiro if he wins the election.

SoCalGirl 10-24-2006 02:03 AM

More shirtless guys please!

So I was contemplating Claire and her amazing regeneration skills. If she had been raped by the QB there'd be no evidence b/c any bruises would heal and any tears would heal. So she'd be a perpetual virgin??? Is she supposed to "be" Mary???

ms_gwyn 10-24-2006 02:34 AM

all I know is when adrian was shirtless tonight it reminded me strongly of that wonderful shortlived TV show: PROFIT, god he was soooo yummy on that show

Wasn't he though? Images of him naked in a cardboard box w/a bunch of chicken wings...God he's HOT!

OrchidAlum 10-24-2006 10:50 AM

Stupid tvguide.com said last night was a repeat! At least I can watch it on nbc.com.

I agree with everyone who has said Hiro is their favorite character. He's really good comic relief... and at the same time, it seems like he's a really critical character.

LeslieAGD 10-24-2006 04:07 PM

Hiro-from-the-future was so cool!

I also really like that we got more information about Peter...it's neat how he sucks powers from others.
I didn't pick up on it at first when he could only fly/hover when we was with Nathan.

And I wonder exactly what Niki's husband's powers are...mind control and invisibility?

I was wondering that too when I saw him come out of the wall in the preview. I didn't think of anything when Niki checked her house, only to have him appear outta nowhere.

And can someone explain to me what Peter painted? I couldn't quite make it out...it just looked...red.

SoCalGirl 10-24-2006 07:31 PM

He painted a picture of the cheerleader after Sylar took off the top of her head and removed her brain.

LeslieAGD 10-24-2006 08:20 PM

Call me crazy, but I don't think the creepy dad or Niki's husband is "Sylar." I think that would be too easy.
Maybe they work for him, or something else. I also think there is a possiblity that Mohinder's dad is still alive.

Can't wait to see more of Matt (the cop) and find out if Micah (Niki's son) or Simone (Isaac's ex) has any special abilities.

I thought they showed him dead already, but maybe not. But I'm PRETTY sure I watched an interview on E! this summer with the Mohinder guy explaining his role because his famous genetics father had died and he was to put together the pieces and all. I dunno.

kafromTN 10-30-2006 01:25 AM

IMDB shows Paul Sylar as Sean Bean...Boromir from Lord of the Rings here's a link:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813715/fullcredits

BetteDavisEyes 10-31-2006 02:31 AM

Sean Bean is sexy!

Good episode. Started out slow but lots of suprises.

Drolefille 10-31-2006 10:17 AM

Apparently Sylar has not actually been cast, despite IMDB. They're a bit like wikipedia sometimes... not quite accurate.

I liked the episode too. I KNEW that Eden was too involved. And I feel like Claire's dad is not all creepy and evil now, just that he has something going on.

jon1856 10-31-2006 07:45 PM

But is Niki really dead????

SydneyK 10-31-2006 07:56 PM

I hope so. She annoys me. Well, the actress who plays her annoys me. So, her character annoys me by default.

Unregistered- 10-31-2006 08:39 PM

I had a feeling Mohinder's girl was working for Creepy Dad. I had that feeling when she made her first appearance.

I don't think Niki's dead at all.

And regarding Claire's bio-parents, I wonder if Claire got her mutant powers when she got sick as a baby?

LeslieAGD 10-31-2006 09:43 PM

Commentary on the last few posts:

- I'm bummed that Mohinder's gal-pal is bad/mixed up with the creepy dad;
I was hoping she wouldn't turn out to be...now that would be a twist

- No, Niki is surely not dead...but I wish we knew her alter-ego's name

- Claire's "bio-parents" are likely random people paid off by creepy dad, and are really
no relation to her...notice how the mom mentioned they couldn't be found before

- I'm still wondering exactly what D.L.'s powers are...invisibility, mind alteration, ...life drain?

SoCalGirl 10-31-2006 10:10 PM

Well since DL came out of the wall and had his arm going into Niki/ikiN stomach I'd say he has some sort of power to "bend" matter. Like Hiro with space/time but way more creepy.

stagebear 10-31-2006 10:50 PM

i think Dl is like Kitty Pryde from Xmen: "possesses a 'phasing' ability that allows her and those she is in contact with to pass through solid objects."

After looking at the graphic novels I'd definetely agree.

Posters on the Yahoo site just call her Dark Niki.

Drolefille 11-01-2006 10:11 AM

I prefer Niki/Ikin depending on Good vs. Bad.

I don't think Niki is dead, just unconcious.
Creepy dad is now less creepy and perhaps might actually be good.
Bio-parents were totally paid off.

D.L. is NOT the same guy as the silent black guy following Creepy Dad around wiping minds.

jon1856 11-01-2006 10:33 PM

Does anyone here think that we may have a "reset" next week? What would happen "if" DN was stopped at the card game?

LeslieAGD 11-04-2006 08:05 PM

The new Entertainment Weekly has a four page article on Heroes.

Niki's alter-ego is named Jessica and she has superstrength and homicidal tendencies. There will be more information about "them" in the next three episodes.

ADPiShannan 11-06-2006 08:54 AM

what do you think the little boys power will be? I hear it completely opposite of the mom and dad.

Drolefille 11-06-2006 10:33 AM

Well he's super smart (going to special school and everything) so perhaps his powers are mental (instead of the more physical ikiN and D.L.)

Intense1920 11-06-2006 11:07 PM

Ok, I would really like Micah's help when I'm stranded in the boonies with no cell service. LOL.

BetteDavisEyes 11-07-2006 02:06 AM

Micah's power seems to be fixing machines or something like that. Pretty cool but you figure with both parents having super powers, he'd have to end up with something.

Next week looks really good. The scene with Mohinder in all white looks interesting. And creepy glasses guy (aka Claire's dad) has Isaac.

adpi*violet 11-07-2006 04:29 AM

Ok- so the DVR cut off the last bit and the previews. I saw up to after Micah's phone call to "Jessica", then he told DL he was just goofing around. What happened then? And what exactly were the previews for next week?
Much appreciated!

BetteDavisEyes 11-07-2006 11:45 AM

Jessica then picked up a gun & loaded it. That's it.

Next week, we see Mohinder all in white surrounded by other people in white. He's holding something but I couldn't see what it was. Hire meets a girl who speaks Japanese to him & he looks cute & giddy. We also see Claire running up those weird steps outside the gym just like in Isaac's painting.

I can't remember what else was shown for next week.

That's called technopathy, or, when used to describe a person, you'd say "Micah is a technopath." Apparently the term originated from a very cool, but terribly short-lived TV show - Jake 2.0.

It was a good article, but I'm worried about Milo Ventimiglia. He's b*tching about his character's hairstyle? Seriously? I mean, yeah, Peter's hair is a little... swoopy ... but dude, you're on this year's hottest new TV show. STFU.

LeslieAGD 11-08-2006 02:49 PM

Sistermadly, agreed! He seems like a whiny brat and he's lucky that his character seems to be central
to the "save the cheerleader"/bring all the Heroes together storyline or he could easily be killed off.

***

This week's episode was kinda weak, IMO.

BetteDavisEyes 11-14-2006 02:09 AM

So is Claire's dad a good guy or still just a creepy guy with ulterior motives. I did like that he is desperate to save Claire but I'm still getting this weird vibe from him.
I think the cop should just dump his cheating wife. She annoys me anyway.
Who the hell is that kid that Mohinder kept seeing? I'm dying to know what his significance is.
Poor Hiro. In the first picture, the waitress was in the picture by herself. At the end of the episode, Hiro was in the picture with her but he looked sad. He never came back either. Noooo! I hope we get to see her again & that he was able to save her. That's a pretty good power she has, the ability to remember lots of things, but I don't see how it could be useful later. I need to think about it some more.

Next week's previews look good. We finally get to see uber-creepy Sylar. It's gonna be a good episode! I'm so excited!

I think it's pretty cool too, but I can't help but think they stole the idea for her "power" from Rainman! :p

It's his sister. His dad thought she was "special" (that she had powers, as well).

I think Hiro is the best thing that happened to the show. Next week is going to good.

Intense1920 11-15-2006 06:32 PM

^The 2 minute preview on NBC.com says it's a little boy that he keeps seeing.

SoCalGirl 11-15-2006 07:00 PM

Sure looked like a boy to me. When they first showed him I thought it was young Mohinder.

The part of the preview was cut of from my DVR. Initially I thought it was boy, but then I thought..it could just be a girl with a short hair cut. LOL..guess I was wrong.
