Ouch! Those t-shirts are painful to look at. In Kodokan Judo, arm bars are legal, but only for brown and black belts and 17 and over. Personally, I don't like them. I've seen too many bad injuries.

How's the knee feeling now? Do you have an ice-machine and one of those machines that automatically move your leg for you?

Here are some really good videos to inspire you to a speedy recovery!

I am dealing with shin splints. I hate those:mad:

kddani 02-10-2007 10:09 PM

My body just feels dried out from the extreme cold outside and dry dry heat inside. No amount of lotion and moisturizer is helping. Dry and itchy skin. My sinuses are terribly dry, every time I blow my nose (I have minor allergies year round) I get a small nosebleed. Hopefully the humidifier I bought today will help somewhat.

blueangel 02-10-2007 11:13 PM

I know it sounds a little gross, but a tiny bit of Vasoline in each nostril will help your nose from drying out and stop it from bleeding. Learned that trick last year in Sedona.

Stef the Pef 02-11-2007 02:57 AM

My head hurts. A lot. :(

AGDLynn 02-11-2007 09:42 AM

Not me, thank goodness but at last nights UGA-SC basketball game, Mike Mercer (UGA) dislocated his knee. They popped it back into place and put an aircast on it. Looks like he'll be out for the season.

Miss Ya Man and hope You get to feeling better! Must have been a bad surgery and not Orthoscopy!:(

Hang in Man! Thinking about You!:D

Oh, my hurt is hip and middle back! Pain Sucks!

Actually, it was orthoscopic. The painful part is probably from transplanting the tendon and the two pieces they took out of the kneecap to attach to both ends of the tendon (one for each end).

blueangel 02-11-2007 04:05 PM

Really? I had no idea they could now do a patella graft via arthroscopy. It used to be "slice and dice" with a three inch zipper down your knee.

Glad to hear you had the arthroscopy. That should make for a much speedier and less painful recovery.

My quads are screaming right now. It hurts to walk downstairs, and I can barely bend or sit down without being in pain - that's all thanks to a extremely rigorous workout at my Polynesian dance class on thursday.

Dionysus 02-11-2007 06:00 PM

I like had my fourth bout of sinusitis since fall. What is up with my immunity this year?

FirstAndFinest 02-17-2007 02:40 PM

I had surgery & bone graft on my left finger and physical therapy is worse than the post-op pain! At least for that, there was percocet!

raggann03 02-18-2007 01:48 PM

I sprained my ankle at the bowling alley and the doctor tells me he thinks its a grade three  Not happy cause crutches are so inhibiting!!

Dear Asshat:

Thank you for cutting me off and brake-checking me on the highway two weeks ago.

I have had several happy fun trips to the chiropractor as a result. It is not fun to hear your own bones go *crunch*. My neck is still stiff. Whiplash is not good.

Incidentally, leaving the scene of the accident - not cool. Telling the cops I cut you off instead of the other way around - definitely not cool. Uh, which one of us has the smashed-up car?? YOUR car is intact. (I hit the brakes. I didn't hit the asshat's car. I did hit the guard rail...)

Hmm, wonder if I can sue the asshat for a shiny new car?? ;)

So wth is a stress fracture....

Thanks to a lovely "stress fracture" on my right foot, I am home for the next 2 days with a boot. Hurts like H*ll to walk and I'm supposed to keep it up and iced to get the swelling down.

DH has gotten much entertainment in watching me walk with the boot---I considered hitting him while swinging leg off of the couch--OOPS,..sorry about that.

The hall to my bathroom never looked so long....:(

AOX81 02-22-2007 03:51 AM

My bladder hurts from all the Red Bull I drank at work tonight. :(

I guess I was mistaken...b/c I do have a 3-4 inch incision scar on my knee. Anyway it gets better...in addition to recovering from this knee operation I got hives in reaction to something. I think it's the painkillers, the dr. doesn't think so.

AOX81 03-02-2007 01:22 PM

My back is killing me...it hurts to stand up, sit down, or lay down. :(

Jill1228 03-02-2007 01:32 PM

A rainy Monday, entering Safeway I was not wearing 6 inch stilettos...I was just wearing a pair of Top Siders
"I would like to introduce Jill's left knee to the slippery floor, Wet floor meet Jill's left knee..."

Wound up in the ER for x-rays. I have a bad contusion on my left knee. I have a brace on it right now. No working out for at least a week

All I wanted was to get a freaking all fruit jamba juice!

AlexMack 03-02-2007 02:19 PM

I can't walk on my foot this morning. Like I need any more aches and pains.

RU OX Alum 03-02-2007 04:06 PM

i think i rolled my ankle doing jumping jacks

AOX81 03-04-2007 04:58 AM

Nothing hurts right now but my head will probably hurt in the morning...

AGDee 03-04-2007 11:35 PM

Daily pain lately, of a Crohn's nature, that wakes me up around 2 am every night and keeps me up til 4 or so, unless I skip dinner. Kinda stinks.

piscesbabi09 03-05-2007 12:00 AM

i just got all four of my wisdoms pulled out on thursday..the surgery was ok..its the after part that kills...ugh:eek:

Phigirl04 03-06-2007 03:17 PM

I'm having an ungodly amount of stomach pain from my celiac's lately. I've been really careful about what I eat but it seems even the smallest amount of cross-contimation is killing me. Ugh!

_Opi_ 03-25-2007 02:27 PM

Well, my left butt really hurts because I've been sitting in the same spot since 8:20am. I have 2.5 hours to go.

AlexMack 03-25-2007 03:38 PM

My legs are wicked sore after riding a horse for the first time in three years yesterday. Good kind of soreness though.

Ugh!! Mine are killing me b/c I've put off the surgery for years!!! I don't think I can put it off any longer..... I am in sooooo much pain!!! :(

Drolefille 03-25-2007 05:06 PM

Posting this one on behalf of my boyfriend

He was flipping a recorder around (the flute type, not a tape recorder) in that way that fidgety people do and somehow managed to ball himself. Even if you don't use the word "ball" as a verb you can probably guess what that means.

I was on the phone with him when it happened and God help me but I could not stop laughing. Not because he was in pain, but because he did it to himself. In front of his family no less. Poor boy.

christiangirl 03-25-2007 06:37 PM

My sinuses on the right side of my head are painfully congested to the point where it hurts to touch my face....ONLY on the right side. Plus, I've been feverish and dizzy off and on for about a week. I graduate in 2 months, I cannot get sick IN ANY WAY.

I had mine out 2 at a time, so it was a little better. For the 2nd one they gave me gas.....I swear, I came out of the surgery wondering if I could buy that stuff on the street.....

tld221 09-13-2007 01:41 PM
