What's funnier is the scenes from Kendra's party looked LAAAAAME!! After all that trash she talked about Tessa's party. Tessa's looked like it had more people and that people were having more fun.

I know! I think the only people who are impressed by Kendra and Cami's bitchiness are themselves and their minions (sp?). Although I found it amusing that Kendra totally owned Cami when Cami kept trying to tell that stupid story about Raquel's friend. LOL

Kendra walked away with her friends when Cami kept trying to tell her story. LOL. Later she was like "you still telling that story?" LOL. Bestfriends, indeed.

It reminds me of that book about Queen Bees....I can't remember the title. (The one that Mean Girls was based on.) I'm sure they'd say it's editing that makes them look so bad. I heard Breanna on a radio show and they called her out on completely lying about what Raquel said/did at lunch. She was like "i'm not a mean person! it's the editing."...LOL. They were like "well it came out of your mouth didn't it?"...haha.

The book was Queen Bees and Wannabes hehe :) I think Cameron is a total player..I'm watching the new episode right now! :);)

So this season isn't as good as the past two to me, and yet I'm still totally hooked.

I agree.

Kendra's boyfriend seems to be very materialistic.

Just out of curiosity, what gave you that idea? Kyndra's the one who was talking about $1500 dresses for the freaking WINTER FORMAL (it's not even prom, dammit!) at the beginning of the episode.

If I'm not mistaken Tyler was the one lecturing his sister about her dress purchases and he doesn't like that their mother gives her thousands and thousands of dollars a month just because. Gucci shoes to the beach, though?

I think he's too good for Kyndra.

WVU alpha phi 10-01-2006 04:44 PM

Does anyone else get a Napolean Dynamite vibe from Kyndra's boyfriend? He just seems like a loser.. and why is he 20 and dating someone 16?

He's 20? All this time I thought he wash 18.

Loser indeed. I really don't care for Kendra or her boyfriend.

Okay, well then Kendra her boyfriend and his sister are materialistic. I didn't see the part where he was lecturing his sister. I got the materialistic vibe from him when him and Kendra were having dinner at his house.

I really like Rocky and Tessa(<----her voice is hella annoying though).

When will those girls realize that Cameron looks like a video game character?

It's his teeth that really bothers me.

I'd take one of the skinny lanky guys over him any day!

I hate those staged "will you go to formal/prom with me?" scenes. When I was in HS, I always had to do the asking because I went to an all-girls' school. Never ever like that though.

Did they even show Cami's date at all? I wonder why they didn't bother to show Breeana, considering it was a school wide thing.

There aren't any really cute guys on this season. Tessa's bestfriend is the cutest one.

I didn't see Cami's date. I wonder if she had one. Breanna is not an interesting character. At all.

WVU alpha phi 10-01-2006 08:18 PM

In the previews for this week's episode, can anyone tell who Cameron is canoodling with? It's someone with dark hair I think.. Breanna maybe?

I think I remember seeing that on some preview. I seriously do NOT see the attraction to Cameron. He's so oafish and seems to be missing a portion of his brain....namely the parts giving any intelligence and semblance of personality.

Kyndra's boyfriend looks short with a big head.

Hmmm. I was just about to post that he seems a lil' feminine.
Does he ever relax and have a good time? He always seems so angry.

eta: Cami is a phoney biotch.

divainred 10-09-2006 09:59 AM

I'm not sure why everyone is soo down on Cami. I actually appreciated the way she was looking out for Kendra when Kendra told her that she and Tyler were talking again.

Also, remember people that when you are in high school, you are usually very catty (and won't even get into how "reality tv" edits footage).

Speak for yourself. ;)

Some of us didn't mingle in catty and pretentious circles nor did our parents allow us to lose touch of reality outside of our bubbles. We also had better things to do (such as being AP scholars and working after school :)) than being fast asses who date fast and funny looking boys, going on grown folk-type trips, spending loads of $ shopping, sipping lattes, hanging out in skimpy outfits, and sitting around gossiping about who's hooking up with who.

DSTCHAOS 10-09-2006 11:21 AM

Oh yeah, I'm hard on Cami because she looks kinda funny and lets Kyndra run over her (in the footage we are shown). But she has a nice figure.

Am I being catty? :(

What is a grown-folk type trip? What is wrong with traveling in HS?

There is nothing wrong with traveling in high school, UNLESS your a sophomore/junior going with a whole group of your friends down to Mexico w/o any supervision. That's not something you do in high school...sorry.

Without a chaperone? Everything.

Exactly.

Those scenes from previous Laguna Beaches where they were in Cavo(sp) dancing in club-type settings and shacking up for the weekend were a mess.

And I also wanted to point out that these trips weren't school sanctioned either...because we all know LBHS didn't allow for official school stuff to be filmed.

In light of the Natalie Holloway/Aruba tragedy, I really think that they had a chaperone for all these trips because NWIH would any normal parent let their minor kid go off on a vacation like that (I guess, unless you're macallan25's mom and dad). They portray Laguna parents to be hip and cool, I wouldn't doubt it if they really had a parent (or parents) there and they were just not filmed.

I would hope a parent is there but I wouldn't be surprised if not.

It's kind of funny to imagine some parent watching Kristen dancing on a bar and kissing a dude while Stephen walks up to her and yells "slut!!" :D

I'm glad you know so much about my parents from an internet message board.....so i'd appreciate it if you left shitty comments like that to yourself.

The times I went to Mexico with a LARGE group of people by ourselves was right accross the border via Austin and San Antonio. I'm pretty sure we were mature enough to handle it.

Going to nice places though......of course my parents went. I wanted them to. They pay for everything.

Indeed. But there's a difference between "bad parenting" and "bad parents."

Letting children do things that minors shouldn't be allowed to do is a common mistake and bad parenting. But you lived to tell about it.

Now, if you just traveled for about an hour for a daytrip to Mexico (something I still wouldn't have been allowed to do as a child and wouldn't let my child do) then that might be different. And if you were just exaggerating your experiences so that you could fit in with the Laguna crew and make a point, shame on you for making your parents look BAD. :)

macallan25 10-09-2006 05:27 PM

No, it was more along the lines of partying balls in Austin and then driving to Acuna, Mexico to party more....which takes about an hour and a half.

.....quite stupid.....but very fun.

:) You see this, macallan's parents? High school kids partying excessively and then admitting it was STUPID but fun.

The prosecution rests.

PM_Mama00 10-09-2006 10:21 PM

Hmmm... around here seniors in high school go on non-chaperoned Spring Breaks like that all the time. I went to Jamaica with 8 other friends. We were fine. AND... Natalee Hollaway's trip WAS chaperoned... so it could happen either way.

Uh, that was my point exactly.

If something horrible can happen to your child when a vacation's chaperoned, imagine the things that could happen if it WASN'T?

DSTCHAOS 10-09-2006 11:32 PM

Whoops, I forgot that this is supposed to be a fun thread. Those Laguna kids rock and so do their parents!!! :D
