I read somewhere that one of them draws anime characters, and she named one Danity Kane. They all decided that it sounded like a good name for their band. Wonder if Diddy had a say in that crazy decision?

I think somewhere earlier in this thread said that he did. They were having a hard time picking the name and then one day Dawn drew the character (I *think* it was her anyway) and Diddy saw it and it just stuck, b/c it stood for like a strong female and blah blah blah.

OH and they better record "Move Your Body" cuz I loved that song. I think that would have been a GREAT first single cuz it was constantly stuck in people's heads.

Yeah, the "Right for You" song TOTALLY was stuck in my head the other day. I have to say I'm thinking they are more talented as the weeks go on. Hopefully they release the Move Your Body song too...I love that one! :)

So I hated Showstopper when listening to it on myspace, but I actually liked it tonight. Crazy.

I missed the ending with the video shoot...too bad it's not on Youtube.com yet...I liked the song.

aubrey claims she wants to be labeled talented and not just the "sexy one", but her outfit looked trashy. kudos to them for their first video, though. with all that choreography they were pressed to do, maybe there will be more dancing in their next video?

I loved being able to see the concert and that they were good performing live. :) It was a good finale and I'll probably get their cd bc the songs are fun.

I must admit, when Diddy first picked this group, I was a skeptic. I really think they'd follow the same route O-Town and Da Band did. The pretty girls can actually sing and dance.

Maybe it was the help they got -- Scott Storch, Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, etc. etc. -- but I'm actually impressed and will be downloading their CD come 8/22. There's a bunch of songs floating around the net already and I like what I hear.

I downloaded the CD from iTunes and I can't stop listening to it. My favorites are Ride For You (hellz yeah), Handle Me, One Shot, Touchin My Body, and Sleep on It. I also added "Let's Go" that isn't a part of Danity Kane, but from one of the episodes early in the 2nd "season" of it. (the Move Your Body song)

I got it from iTunes as well and its been on permanent repeat on the iPod.

I was able to get the majority of the songs elsewhere, but whatever I couldn't get I bought off iTunes.

I didn't really like this revamped version of Touching My Body, but I understand that they couldn't really keep things the same.

Still love Ride For You. It about sums everything up.

Last night the BEP came for a concert. They were supposed to have the Pussycat Dolls as their opening act. My boss took her teenage daughter. I read on MTV that PCD wouldn'tr be there due to the lead singer being sick. So who opened instead, you guessed it, Danity Kane. My boss said they sang really well although they only performed for 15 minutes.

Their album is at number one on the charts right now.

They are doing a great job marketing that album....it's top charts on rhapsody as well...I've heard it on some other stations as well...
