One of my biggest pet peeves is when people "apologize" for other peoples' so-called shortcomings. Like

My GC pet peeve is having GCers threaten to call your Inter/National officers just because they don't like what you say on the message board.
Another GC pet peeve is GCers actually meddling in another organization's business, and then proceeding to spread false information online. I don't know which one irks me more. :confused::confused::confused::eek::mad: :( |
I haven't been here long, but I have a pet peeve.
I hate it when someone says "I'm not going to respond to that topic anymore, bla bla bla" and then they keep on arguing with people over the topic they weren't going to discuss. Stupid. |

The arguing about super petty things. I'd give an example, but there's just too many, in too many forums.

Pet Peeve
#1 When people respond to every topic in every thread as an expert. #2 When threads collapse into arguments back and forth btwn just 2 posters. |
Another one..
Getting unsolicited PMs from troublemakers because they know if they posted that shit on the General Boards, it'd get deleted in a heartbeat. That's why my PMs are turned off. It's so much better this way. |

Those two things are what make message boards fun. :D My pet peeve is when someone doesn't have a better retort than "you have (insert number) of posts so that means you (insert whatever high posts are supposed to be indicative of)" or "you need to get a life/have sex/find a man/eat mor chiken." Just type and don't worry about what usernames may or may not be doing in real life. Unless they continue to share their personal business, which may be a different story. |

That's funny b/c that has happened to me a couple of times. But I get more PMs from people who want to talk mean about someone I'm disagreeing with on the board. Some of them want to say hurtful things via PM but want you (in general) to be the only "bitch" on the main board. |

It's tough being the token bitch for the silent folks. |
I too have gotten a couple of PMs asking me to call out someone.

Guess it's those internet balls that makes some people post when others shy away.

Well a hearty "f*ck you" to her for trying to call me out a while ago. Which is funny for someone to create a more anonymous screenname to attempt to call someone else out.;) |

KBC was used to MOCK people who were uncomfortable to post their real thoughts under their original usernames. Also, I don't remember saying anything that negative when I used that SN. |

No need to rehash. The "f*ck you" stands. |

What a douche. |
When was this? Is it recent?

I don't think most people know about it though. Mods definitely. But when she started posting as her 3rd identity I think most people thought she was just another GCer. |

To you or to KEYBOARDCOURAGE? ;) Don't confuse the topic here. :) BTW, I don't know what you're talking about either so I guess we're batting a thousand here so, like I said, no need to rehash. :D |

OOOkay then...I just find it interesting but don't really feel like discussing it beyond the "hearty f*ck you" that I already donated to you. ;) |

ETA: Sorry OTW, but I'm sick of the bullshit she tells me. |
Come on, guys. Enough.
This is actually a good thread. |

I agree but the discussion actually fits with the topic. :) In closing, a pet peeve of mine is people who type under more than one username. |
My pet peeve is people who say something mean and then add smiley faces to it. Not something done in a joking manner, or even snarky but it's an actual cut down (or at least attempted) followed by :)
Not sure what the intention there is except *aren't I awesome and above this because I can smile and not get flustered* which is silly on a message board. It's a little like *bless your heart* |

I really despise when someone is so busy rushing to the reply button to be condescending to you that they don't bother reading the whole post. They'd prefer to retain the upper hand and look persecuted at the same time.
"No one knows more about this topic than me and so if someone brings it up I will purposely ignore anything valid they might say in order to stay on top." |
OTW, are you talking about moochagoo and curiousgirl or whoever the hell all those people were?
|
Quote:
But no...not her. ;) She's married. |
I thought of another one. People who insist on signing their posts. Seriously, what the hell?! We know who you are, that's the point of a screen name. We can all just look up to the top left of your post to figure it out.
Oh and just so you know...10 is the maximum for smileys in your post. However there is no law saying you have to hit that max everytime you post. |
