Instead of having to manually type in the [ ] codes, you can edit your message just like you were in Word, and see the editing changes instantly...

MaryAmanda's letters showed as greek to me too. Do mine look greek?

I went to the Character map, scrolled down to Times New Roman (since most everyone has that font), clicked on the letters ΣΚ, pasted them in my profile, and then changed the font in my profile to Times New Roman. If they don't show up for everyone else then I'm lost too and need some help getting my Greek letters back.

I can see them.

I got my letters by going to "Insert Symbol" in MS Word...then copy/pasting them into my signature.

The "log in invisible" feature should be working again now. Fixed that a short while ago. You may need to logout first, then it will work again once you log back on.

I'm thinking that maybe your web browser program, or some security/privacy software, on the computer you're using now is configured to expire browser cookies when the program is closed.

That, or possibly your Internet Service Provider is sending your connection through a proxy server that uses multiple IP addresses.

Ok, I have been looking at GC for way too long. The "educate and vaccinate" in my signature is starting to look like it's in Latin to me.

You can opt to have a pop-up message come up every time there's a new PM. It's in the User CP under options or settings, I think.

The other site that was GC's temporary replacement is www.geekboards.com , the specific forum for GC on that site is here. By the way, don't be surprised if that site looks completely different within the next week or so (that one is getting a new design due to the current design not working well on computers with screen resolutions of 800x600).

You think you had it bad . . . 1st GC was down, and then my modem had problems right when GC was going to be back up! My modem got back to normal today!

Holy *#%@! I leave for another couple of weeks and the whole darn thing is different. I got so lost when I first logged in. I guess that's a hint that I should try to keep up more.

I was so excited when I saw that John had posted on GB saying that GC was back up. Then, all of a sudden, my internet connection went out :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:. I haven't had internet connection until just now.
