Yes -it is a small word I recently found out that someone from my church is on this board! and moderator of this forum!

Here an Alpha, there an Alpha, everywhere I went there was an Alpha.... I didn't even make it to the convention hotel but nevermind cause the convention was all over the city all week long!! It was truly a blessing to meet so many young, educated men from all over the country who treated this Rhoyal lady with the highest level of respect.

I enjoyed celebrating 100 years of your brotherhood with you and I wish you all many more.

Outstanding

I was worn out by DC. I had been in the city a week prior to the Alpha convention attending the NAACP convention. I had car problems and the heat almost killed me. Nontheless, I was energized by the start of convention. The forums were excellent and the fellowship of the brotherhood compared to no other.

There were so many people that I did not have opportunity to meet many folk from GC. I did meet frater Senusret.

Congratulations Gentlemen! I wish I could have been there. It sounds like you all had a really nice time.

I must say that I had a blast in DC last weekend. It was so good seeing a group of intelligent, strong Black men getting together to create history. I got a chance to meet some real cool sorors and phrat during Saturday's picnic @ Howard. It was hot as hayle, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself nonetheless.
Rashid, it was god to fianlly meet you in person. I'm eagerly awaiting the PM and pictures.
Sphinxpoet, I would have been most upset if I didn't see my ZZL brethren in the mix. Thanks for making this soror smile. :)

Yes I bumped this thread!

Reading this (I am wondering how the hell did I miss it) made me think of all those excellent centennial moments! That was my first convention and definitely one I am glad I had the chance to attend.

And I remember meeting you! Good times, good times.

More memories.... going to the "other wing" where the REAL good parties were. It was like the old wing of the hotel. Looked like something straight out of the 1920s.

Some district was having a reception....I was like woooooow....

Yes we met for a couple of minutes and then we were suppose to hang out that night and it didn't happen. It was all your fault (no I won't assume any responsiblity LOL)!

09

Does anyone know where next year's nationals are? I looked at the website but didn't see any mention of it yet. Maybe I just missed it.

truthfully, I was at the actual convention for about 3 hours....I only had a 3 day weekend so most of it was spent hanging out with my chapter bro's (89 all the way through spr. 06), especially considering that only 1 person was missing from my line (sp. 91) so that was really more...important doesnt even cover it.

Senusret I 07-23-2008 05:55 PM

general convention 09 = New Orleans

rachild 07-30-2008 06:22 PM

thanks

I am about to start saving .06 cents a day (figuratively...in reality that would give me about $18 by the time I needed to book tickets and hotel lol)
