AOIINewbie 08-30-2006 02:17 AM

lol Thanks. A few of the lovely ladies from Nu Beta taught my chapter sisters and I that at LI. We've started using it back at Pi Alpha, and we get really strange looks. It made for an awesome clue during big/little week though! And once again Congrats Kappa Chi!!!!!

OleMissGlitter 08-30-2006 09:58 AM

Oh the famouse Panda Ears from Nu Beta....we (NB) actually learned them from another AOII chapter at Convention a few years ago......

CONGRATS SO FAR to all of our chapters who have done so well in recruitment this fall!

irishpipes 09-03-2006 10:20 PM

Anyone want to PM with results from Florida, UL Monroe, Rhodes, UL Lafayette, Arkansas State, Cal-Berkeley? Nothing is on InCircle!

kelcaopi 09-06-2006 09:09 PM

I just heard from a friend that Kappa Omicron (Rhodes) made quota with 34 new girls!

They had an interesting recruitment this year because the ceiling in the house started to collapse over the summer (the house was built in the '20s) so when it was determined that it was structurally unsound they ended up having to hold all their parties in a break room in one of the dorms!

AOIIalum 09-06-2006 10:02 PM

Congrats to Kappa Omicron and hopefully they can get everything fixed before too long!

What are panda ears? I've never heard of this...

I talked to my little today and she recruitment at UNC Epsilon Gamma is doing well. They are hoping to get around quote which is 26 I believe. Then they hope to hit ceiling this semester. They have pref tonight and bid night tomorrow!!:D

Beryana 09-11-2006 06:32 AM

Theta Psi just finished up recruitment. Quota was 16 and they had 14 women accept bids - and of those 14, 3 were legacies! :)

Kappa Alpha also just started recruitment with bid day being Sunday.

ETA: TOTAL at Toledo is 75 (Theta Psi is at 68), QUOTA was 16 (and we had 14 women accept bids). Sorry for the scare!

aopirose 09-11-2006 01:51 PM

Kappa Tau took quota (19) plus 1 for 20!

OleMissGlitter 09-11-2006 02:44 PM

WOW! GO Kappa Tau and Theta Psi :)

Nu Beta starts with Open House (a new round at Ole Miss, basically ice water can be served with no frills at all and house tours are given) on Sept. 24 and then Recruitment Starts on Oct. 11 and ends with Bid Day on Oct. 15! There are 884 PNMs signed up...I think the deadline has passed so that's all for this year!

AOII*Azra-elle 09-13-2006 09:08 PM

Epsilon Gamma

EG took quota this fall. Quota was 17!!

irishpipes 09-13-2006 10:15 PM

I heard quota was 19 and Epsilon Gamma got 19? Can you check and see which is right? Either way, woo hoo!

aopinthesky 09-13-2006 11:00 PM

Tau Delta and Gamma Sigma

TD (Birmingham Southern) had a quota range of 14-15 and took 16 girls on Tues. GS (Georgia State) quota was 20 and they made quota. We are all so awesome, aren't we?
Roses, Anna

According to Kelsey, the recruitmen advisor, on the EG incircle group they got 17 and got quota. Which is still good! :D

They added more girls to their Rho class. They just initiated, I believe, 23. There was only one that didn't initiate.

AOII_LB93 09-15-2006 06:16 PM

Lambda Beta

I was helping with recruitment on day one and two, and with much fewer members than many other chapters on campus(we really only had about 20 on the floor - total), we have 22 wonderful new members! Quota was 35, and all chapters got quota except AOII, but all the advisers are VERY proud and thrilled. The chapter is also very happy and is CORing their hearts out. Doubled the chapter! WOOHOO!

YAY...we're turning the corner.:) :) :D

aopirose 09-17-2006 01:54 PM

Very good news, sisters. Keep up the good work!

ForeverRoses 09-20-2006 08:28 AM

Omega Upsilon (Ohio University) welcomed 23 great girls into the chapter, and met quota!
:)

OleMissGlitter 09-20-2006 09:43 AM

It looks like our chapters are all doing super duper right now!!! :)

UMNAOII 09-21-2006 02:47 PM

Tau Results

Tau Chapter at the University of Minnesota had recruitment this last weekend, and took quota of 17 new members! They also got 4 legacies this year! (WAY more than usual!) They are now at 69 total members, just below campus total of 75. There is only 1 group at total right now, and 4 more that are within 8 or so members.

Also, kind of interesting...during our philanthropy round one of our members told a VERY touching story. She'd had rheumatoid arthritis from the age of 13, and spent MANY weekends at the University Hospital. She remembered a group of women coming to visit her with candy and a stuffed animal, and still had the panda that was given to her by those visitng AOIIs! She just joined last year, and connected everything, and it was an AMAZING story. The PNMs knew that we really cared about our philanthropy. Just a great story!

YAY!

irishpipes 10-02-2006 03:22 PM

OleMissGlitter 10-09-2006 11:08 AM
