Not sure how I see the votes breaking down between Terry and Cirie, especially Shane's vote.

That's what I was thinking - it took me seeing the "preview" for Sunday a couple of times (where they show Arras and Terry climbing up that ramp with poles or whatever) spliced with Danielle competing in the puzzle challenge last night to realize that I think they may be trying to buffalo us.

If I had to pick between Cirie and Arras, I'd probably pick Cirie, for all the reasons that MysticCat mentioned earlier. But the vote break down might get interesting between Cirie/Arras and Terry:

Terry for sure gets:
Austin
Sally

Cirie/Arras for sure gets:
Arras/Cirie

Now, Bruce I would *likely* put into Terry's camp, as my sister :) explained. Danielle could go either way - she wasn't happy with Terry's decision to send her to Exile Island last week, and then he didn't give her the idol (however, he was conspiring with her and she knows she's nothing to C & A).

I think Courtney and Shane, however, may see Cirie and Arras's (and Danielle, for that matter) plotting to get them out to prevent Terry from working with them as a betrayal, and may switch their "loyalty" to the Casaya tribe. If that's the case, Terry would win.

I'm pretty sure Terry's in the finals. It'd make sense. More than that it'd create "the closest votes in Survivor history." Because think about it Cirie/**** screwed over Courtney and Shane hardcore. Terry on both of those accounts can say he had no idea those two decisions were being made. Moreover he gave Shane time with his kid so that could work to his advantage.

And let's be really honest, Terry's worked the hardest, beat the most odds, and is still kicking butt. I really hope he's the one to walk away with the million.

If not him Cirie. B/c she's a pretty cool girl and I wouldn't mind her winning either. :)

ETA: To the extent that he has continued to win immunity, Terry has Outlasted and Outplayed others. He's also been useful around camp. But I haven't seen much Outwitting from him. He's blown some useful opportunities to capitalize on having the immunity idol. Instead, he wasted it.

Still, if Danielle beats Cirie at making fire, and if Terry can win immunity in the next challenge, he wins the game.

I think Terry ended up using the idol in the smartest possible way. It guaranteed him F3. He tried to make deals earlier on, but nobody was budging then. Some people on alt.tv.survivor thought he should have given it to Danielle yesterday, but that wouldn't have been smart. She would've run to Arras and Cirie and told them she had it and Terry would have been voted off. He kept it, it was his insurance and he got this far because of it. I think in choosing Shane to spend the night with his son, while knowing that Shane was an explosive type who was alienating his tribe, he probably secured a vote from Shane for the million. I think Terry has the votes he needs. If he wins the final immunity, I think that Austin, Sally, Bruce and Shane will all vote for him, and possibly Courtney too.

What are they going to do with 2 hours of footage when they already did the F4 challenge though??? I usually sleep through half of the finale (when they honor their fallen comrades) already!

Plus, it's on at the same time as Sopranos, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.. oh and West Wing! They're killing me on Sunday nights, killing me!

Finale tonight!!!!!
Who will be the ultimate Survivor?
My vote is Terry.

I'm glad it was **** over Danielle, but I think Shane said it best when he said Terry deserved it most. I mean he was an all-star and no one else really compared to him.

That final immunity challenge sucked. Soon as the 1st round passed I knew Danielle was gonna win since she was lighter and everyone else seemed to be going underwater. They just couldn't help that. Dumb Survivor.

It was really rather hard to tell, because it was somewhat murky exactly what Terry could do with the immunity idol -- whether he could have given it to someone else or not. But if he could have and had let a tribemate use it after the merge, it might have prevented the Pagonging of his tribe. But who knows.

I only saw bits and pieces last night -- taped the rest. I know how it ended, so the suspense will be gone, but I'll still give it a watch sometime.

And I guess the editors weren't playing tricksies after all by telegraphing that Cirie would lose the fire challenge.

Hypothetically, if Terry had given it to Sally or Austin, and the game played out the same way, Terry may not have made it to the final three. Arras would've had the immunity necklace, and either Danielle and Terry would've still teamed up and voted for Cirie, OR Danielle, Cirie, and Arras could've all voted for Terry and he would've been voted out at Final Four.

I was so pleased to see that Shane said that Terry deserved it the most, I agree that the immunity challenge was slightly giving an edge to Danielle (and I really don't see how the reward challenge gave Terry any help for the immunity challenge), and how was last night the "closest vote in Survivor history", unless they're referring to Danielle's "indecisiveness".

I also think that Arras cleaned up well enough to make me do a double take and make sure it wasn't Colby sitting there, and I can't remember: did it ever come out at the camp that Terry won the GMC after the three returned from the reward?

Definitely hard to tell looking back -- there are so many "what ifs." You could be quite right.

Side note- Cook Islands looks beautiful! I wish I was done with undergrad so I could apply and be on it. :P

This was a good season.. I know Danielle felt like a fool when Jeff asked how many would've voted for Terry and come to find out she would have lost either way.. but I'm glad **** won.

Can someone explain to me why this message board replaces the name of the winner of Survivor: Panama with ****, but posters can complete the sentence "You wouldn't call your country . . . . " without the last word being replaced by ****?
