Ahhh so I did invest in an mp3 player. After much debate, I kissed the educational discount goodbye with Apple iPod and bought a Philips GoGear instead. I.LOVE.THIS.THING! Although mine got sick and I had to ship it back to Philips, they offered me a no hassle exchange. This model holds 6GB but they also offer one that holds 30GB. The 6GB holds about 2500 songs and goes for $199 at Wal-Mart and other retailers.

I got my 5th gen 30GB from macmall.com. They have frequent rebates so you can get some accessories for little or nothing.

I treated myself and bought an iPod nano this week! I'm so excited. It's the newer 1GB iPod, it will hold about 250 songs - which is enough for me. I'm so excited!! :D :D :D I just need to figure out how to get my songs on it....there are some other songs I have on musicmatch jukebox and on napster that I'm trying to figure out how to transfer to my iPod. The only way I see doing that is to burn a disk and then upload them in iTunes.

I work for Apple. I hope everyone has Applecare because they do not play about returns and tech support. You get charged for everything. And if you deside to get it engraved all sales are final. Just some advise. Hit me up it anyone has questions.

...on battery charging

I've also been told it's fine to just charge it every night so the battery is full for the next day. I know that usage plays a part obviously, but does it matter either way how often you charge it? thanks. (this is for Cali_Keisha or anyone else who can answer.) |
Love it!
I just received my Nano yesterday & i love it. I got it engraved. It says:
Soror My Name Alpha Kappa Alpha Mine can hold 240 songs, but just as with cds that I make...I only make cds out of songs I can listen to years from now. So right now I'll add songs as I think of them. And delete those that get old lol I'm still trying to learn it & learn how to add bas, but I'll figure that out oe someone can just tell me :D |

You will need to call Tech Support. You may need a new battery.

hey sorors, i'm on my second ipod and i love it. my first was a 10GB 3G pod--touch wheel. my second one is a 30GB 4G (photo) and i love that one as well, especially the capacity and playing solitaire in color :) part of me wants the newest one, but it's definitely not a priority. i gave my old one to my husband and now he's addicted. i just love passing the apple love. i also dig dig dig my ibook, but that's a different thread ;) MAC ROX!
here are a couple links that will help you with your battery questions: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=62018 http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61434 ilounge.com and the apple site both have great resources for getting to know your pod. |
Pink, engraved iPod mini. I love it, but since I use it so much I am FOREVER charging it.
I will probably buy another iPod before the end of the summer (not sure which one). Maybe the one with photo/video capability. |
