I grew up in a pretty diverse city and neighborhood and majored in political science so I am/was probably more exposed to these issues than you, but you're trying. I think that is a step in the right direction. Read Andrew Hacker's Two Nations if you want to learn a little more. |

As for the plethora of half-truths and twisted remarks ment to insult me... well that seems to be in keeping with another member of my chapter who I've had serious disagreements with in the past. Oh as for a reply to some of the "facts" or accusations in it: Stanley Cup list at my cottage - nope cousin's cottage (ironically after they learned it didn't float earlier in the week) Dating Alanis Morrisette - nope, unless drunken making out at a house party counts as "dating" these days (anyways it was back around her YTV pop days) Working for CSIS - yes, if by working you mean summer student intern sifting through newspapers... not a fun job at all. Top-Secret military involvement? - don't know anything about this - I've always been pretty forthcoming with my time in the military. Working at Queens Park - wonder about this one as I only did it for a week; 5AM paper readings, highlight articles on Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, hand highlighted material to minister's department.. then go home and sleep 75th Dinner - can't be Hadley on this; as he was the one (among many) saying I'd get burned by the Alumni when they were handing out credit... but hey if any proof is needed I still have all the orginizational crap leading up to the dinner (which I had been flogging at meetings for oh 2 years). Decreased Recruitment - average recruitment: 8 members; year I was rush chair: 25 members... now if only rentention was that high. 33 year old man - well most can check my profile and see that's not true (not far off but not true) Year 12 of 3 year degree - no part-time student for 5 years (1 or 2 credits a year as I worked), fulltime for last 2 years - oh and UofT doesn't have a 3 year degree. Sigma Pi - yep almost joined them, but quit pledging after serious disagreement with another 2 pledges... doesn't matter still good friends with rest of pledge class and alumni. Crank Calls from chapter - will not discuss as it has been handled. I'll be sure to let everyone know what Hadley thinks of the message.... |

Besides by explaining/defending myself even a little - it pretty much shows how empty or twisted most of the comments are - regardless I'll be going to the source of the "original" post this week during Ritual. |

What I've learned from Greek Chat -
The one thing that I have learned from GC is that Shades of Grey do not exist on GC: You are either Black or White - can't be anything else. You are either a conservative republican or liberal democrat - you can't be a liberal republican or conservative democrat. You are either honest and tell the truth about rush / recruitment - and get called a b*$ch, or blow smoke up someone's @$$. You can either support someone and get called a __________ (insert person's screen name here) whore, or totally trash them hoping to get 'cool points'. |

So why take the Few at The Plurality? Why not divulage some of The disparaging Idiots? ;) Self Importance does not become some of those that throw big stones! :o |

People that have such soft ground beneath them don't jump up and down so hard. But you keep pushing it don't you? Well a guy that takes 12 years to finish college and has so many flaws might not realize how bad it is to do that.
This message was posted in the Lambda Chi Alpha forum a while back. The post was around March 2, 2005. You were pretty upset by it so unless you completely blacked out, it's strange that you forgot. Maybe you're lying though? Yeah actually you are. I provided the date and now I will provide the URL and who erased it for you as well. Tom Earp and LXA Alum posted about how they were worried about non-brothers seeing this and removed the thread. This was the original URL of that thread before they erased it for you: http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showth...threadid=63612 You are nothing more than a violent criminal liar. Your brother details all the other ills of your character pretty well. -Rudey --Cashmoney also refuses to believe that people know he's a liar. Quote:

I'll reiterate and take into example this thread what I said in the ChitChat "What I've Learned from GC" Thread:

I don't even know what a twinkie is. I've never heard that term before. And I'm being 100% honest. The only time I've ever heard that to describe someone was a homosexual man and that was from a SPAM porno email. There are a LOT of terms that I've learned on GC that I've never heard in person before. The closest racial issue I've ever seen on my campus was when we had our old UMall. The African American students (who I later learned were the basketball players and Alpha Phi Alpha brothers) were always in a room we called the fishbowl (because it was a separate room and all glassed in). That wasn't even an issue except the segregation. But that's how it was in there..... Greeks (IFC, NPC) had one part of the "carpet", you weren't welcome in the fishbowl unless you were hanging out with those who were already in there, and GDIs got everywhere else. No one had a problem with it. It wasn't that African Americans didn't converse with others... but from a Greek point of view, the African American Greeks didn't converse with us. Even when we tried to get them to participate in Greek Week or other activities, they either didnt show up or didn't want to. (I know Alpha Phi Alpha had something going on and when they did participate in one of our events, they were some really cool guys and we wanted them to hang out more). Even on 9-11 there wasn't much of a difference of racial clashings. I couldn't believe it when I heard that one of our Muslim Arab Greeks had comments made to him at a gas station. So yes, I am sheltered. I duno how much else I can explain it. honeychile.... I got about 30 vicodin left and some amoxicillin. lol I've been too chicken shit to take the vicodin. |
Quote:
stop explaining, i don't care about your stories. either way, your using a pitiful excuse such as being sheltered to make ignorant comments. your attempt at a kumbaya post is lost. what a waste. |
Quote:
Instead of constantly calling people racist or ignorant or unintelligent, why don't you explain and try to teach instead of namecall? Maybe you'd get your point across better. No, the fact that you're in a BGLO doesn't make you a wannabe. But the fact that in almost every racial thread you just start name-calling and make them all drama-filled. People could be having a decent discussion about something and someone can ask a question or think something that may be wrong, and you come bouncing in calling them ignorant or whatever. That's why I feel you're a wannabe. And just because someone isn't exposed enough to something, doesn't make them unintelligent. I think you're pretty unintelligent for never discussing an issue but rather starting drama and name-calling. I wasn't attempting a kumbaya post. I'm tryin to explain to others why I feel the way I feel. |
Quote:
because you're grown already. they're drama filled prior to me ever getting into them. it's not my fault that when i tell someone they're foolish that it applies. you don't like it, don't do it. what am i a wanna be of? because i call it like i see it? it's theories such as this that are proof positive of your ignorance. like i said, stop excusing your sheltered upbringing for extreme stupidity. plenty of people have grown us closed off from the world, but they still are smart enough to know bigotry when they see it. |
