Seems like there was one composer of several well-known and popular tv themes, including Rockford Files. I can't for the life of me think of his name.

Anybody?? I know I did not make this up!

TristanDSP 10-25-2005 03:30 PM

In the fine tradition of MANY crappy Saved By The Bell ripoffs

Surf dudes with attitudes (Kinda groovy)
Laid back moods
Sky above, sand below (Good vibrations)
Feelin' mellow
Don't wake me up
Don't wanna stop

CHORUS: (Don't wake me up)
Don't wake me up if I'm dreaming (California dreams)
Just let me lay here in the sun
Until my dream is done

Palm trees, ocean breeze (Let's go cruising)
You and me
Salt air, sun bleached hair (Endless summer)
Take me there

Won't let it go
Want more and more

Noise and confusion
Tough times in the neighborhood
Let me keep my illusion
These dreams are good (guitar solo)

Two days later...it's still in my head!

This is the theme to Garry's Show,
The theme to Garry's show.
Garry called me up and asked if I would write his theme song.
I'm almost halfway finished,
How do you like it so far,
How do you like the theme to Garry's Show.

This is the theme to Garry's Show,
The opening theme to Garry's show.
This is the music that you hear as you watch the credits.
We're almost to the part of where I start to whistle.
Then we'll watch "It's Garry Shandling's Show".

This was the theme to Garry Shandling's show.

Sheila and Jacquelyn are the na na na na na na and dee dee dee dee dee dee pros so I'll leave those to them.

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.
Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well, the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around.

Who'dve thought they'd lead ya?
(Who'dve thought they'd lead ya?)
Back here where we need ya?
(Back here where we need ya?)
Yeah, we tease him a lot, Cuz we've got him on the spot. Welcome back.

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

* Additional lines in the song during the closing credits:

Welcome back.
We always could spot a friend.
Welcome back.
And I smile when I think how you must've been.
