I said what I said and I stick by it. I didn't call you stupid by name though darling but I think that perhaps you should read the wonderful stats and facts in this last post you gave and decide whether you should stick to commenting on television shows.

And Rudey, I did know that the whole impeachment wasn't because he had sex with Monica. If you read my post I said that I couldn't remember the exact reasons for it and it had to do with Whitewater and that IMPO I thought they were using the sex thing as an issue.

Half of this country is unemployed. Probably 1/4 is working poor. The education system SUCKS!!!!! NCLB is a crock of shit (IMPO). The security sucks at airports because it is not uniform. Gas prices are astronomical. In AZ our gas is costing more than CA. And our president is more interested in a war 5000 miles away and sticking his nose into other peoples businesses. I'm sorry the whole America is everyone's "big brother" mentality needs to go the way of the dinosaur. We need to stop worrying about everyone else and worry about ourselves.

I understand that people will have a different opinion than me and that is fine. But dont' call me stupid because I'm a democrat and respect that this is my opinion.

I'm not asking you to agree with me I'm asking that you respect that it is mine.

ASUADPi 09-12-2005 02:43 PM

Rudey, is there a reason you have to demean everyone on this board?

The world doesn't revolve around you or your opinions. And because my opinion differs from you doesn't mean I or any other democrat deserves to be called stupid.

Maybe I should call you and all republicans out there stupid? Oh wait that would make me stoop to your level. As much as I don't agree with your opinion I do respect it. But obviously you can't treat anyone with a difference of an opinion from you with the same amount of respect that some of us treat you.

Again all I did was ask why you support him and I personally don't think the answers given are rock solid answers, but I respect why you voted for him. I'm just glad that come 2008 he will never be in office again. And that is my opinion.

You should learn the difference between fact and opinion.

I don't demean everyone. I didn't mention you.

You can say whatever you want, just like I can.

I don't need to ask people for respect too often.

And finally, the world revolves around me at this moment. It might not in 5 minutes, but scientists have determined that all 8 or 9 planets (Pluto is up for debate on whether it's a planet) have begun their orbit around me. Since this statement requires that I be off the Earth, I am temporarily typing to you from outer space.

The reason why Bush got reelceted was becasue he was for strong moral values (i.e. anti-gay marriage). Something that the conservatives have accused the liberals.

Hello, there are more things that are important than gay marriage. What about saving lives and helping the poor?

You just brought up the OTHER main thing that I disagree with President Bush about. Yet I voted for him. And I still approve of him.

As for his approval rating.... I didn't vote on that, so there is at least one person's opinion that wasn't included in that poll. :D

AKA_Monet 09-12-2005 08:57 PM

The irony...

Love the dog for president concept... Kinna like Dog is my Co-pilot... Or my Karma ran over your Dogma...

And other bumper stickers I have seen around here are:

Nobody died when Clinton lied...

Jack Shit for President...

And didn't Michael Moore try to run a Ficus for President in 2000?

Vote for Ficus...

I guess I was one of those "pregnant chads" back in 2000...

And since the folks in California negated the proposition of "none of the above" for all voting, then I had to choose one or the other candidates for president. It wasn't Bush for me in 2004...

As far as the best candidate. No one person can be the "best candidate" or "the end all be all". And unfortunately, campaigns have turned into a corporate greed factories. Since Bush had and still has a ton of money and can hire spin doctors like Karl(schlitzer) Rove(lager) (of the 3rd Reich SS), then what Alexander Hamilton says is true--the masses are asses...

As they said in the "Hollywood Shuffle" back in the Reaganomics years:

"How about 10 bullets up yo' ass with 'make my day"'

But if Mr. Bush resigns, then we automatically get "Robo-Cheney" as President... I've lived thru one presidential resignation... I swear, whenever 9/11 happened, Cheney somehow got "robotized" or made into the bionic VP--which was spin doctored into saying he got a pacemaker... Anybody that has guts to say "EFF you" and face "EFF yous" in public, must be "robotized" or bionicized... That would be fun to have "Robo-Cheney"--because he doesn't EFF around...

But I don't want Credenza as a VP. She keeps Bush happy for some reason... Robo-Cheney doesn't really like Credenza for that purpose...

Like what Bill Maher said the other day:

Mr. President, playing president must not be fun for you anymore isn't it? It is just is too hard... You have to think too much and play, I mean plan too much for the future... Your vacation gets interrupted by meaningless things, etc...

Do you have anything intelligent to say or do you just like to post rolleyes smileys?

How about giving YOUR own answer to the question posed, why do you currently support Bush?

No need to be rude.

I support our president because as has been said before, I think he was the best choice. I aggree with almost everything that Rudey, and KSigKid have said.

I personally feel safe with him running our country. I thought he handled 9/11 better than anyone else could have.

I support the fact that he has stong convictions and does not change his personal beliefs in the face of criticism. I think he is a strong leader.

Also, I think he handles the criticisms of small-minded people with class and dignity.

There are several areas that I do not aggree with him. But, he is our president and I will continue to support him no matter what anyone has to say about it.

And when someone makes stupid ass comments, I am going to feel free to roll my eyes as often as I want. Thank you.

Just a little bit of humor (?) from another bulletin board:

"Laura's Reaction: First Lady Laura Bush is responding angrily to claims that her husband doesn't care about black people. As the person who knows President Bush the best, she insists he doesn't care about white people either."

Well, family morals are importants, but people are dying because of malnutrition. Impoversiherd families are working 2 to 3 jobs a day to make ends meet. Put yourself in someone's shoes who is poor. You'll see the point. In fact, I saw Feed the Children weeks ago, and I heard that a father killed himself after struggle to make ends meet for his wife and his children. Are you saying that you have no sympathy for the poor? Not everyone is the same, Rudey.

I think you make a good point... Personally though, my sympathy stops when people aren't willing to TRY to better their situation.

No - he is saying that it was not strong moral values that got President Bush re-elected. Being anti-gay marriage didn't give him the election. Rudey is saying that you were wrong on that point.

He was acutally in Austin the other day, visiting the convention center and talking to evacuees who are staying there. :)

When I see homeless men begging for change, I reach down into their cups and take out enough to pay for my Mango Mantra Jamba Juice shakes every morning.

It's their fault they are there and since I want my Jamba Juice for free, I won't stop doing this.

Bush Accepts Blame For Poor Katrina Response
Admission Comes Just Days After Accusing News Media, Critics
Louisiana Death Toll Climbs To 423

(CBS) WASHINGTON President Bush Tuesday took responsibility for government failures in dealing with Hurricane Katrina and said the disaster raised broader questions about the government's ability to respond to natural disasters as well as terror attacks.

"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government," Mr. Bush said at joint White House news conference with the president of Iraq. "And to the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility."

The admission comes just days after accusing the news media and critics of the administration storm response of "playing the blame game," reports CBS News White House Correspondent Peter Maer.

"I want to know what went right and what went wrong," the president said. "I want to know how to better cooperate with state and local government, to be able to answer that very question that you asked, 'Are we capable of dealing with a severe attack or another severe storm?'"

if it does, then i truly question the intelligence of the general community of this board. but somehow, i doubt that people would actually be dumbfounded at something that rudimentary.

Just a thought here as I don't want to get involved in this thread. I feel stupid after reading it. There are goobers on both sides of this debate.

But maybe you shouldn't tell people to not be rude if you are going to call the comments that others make stupid ass comments" or something of the like. As far as I know that's not all peachy either.

In any event, I have more money to make and a consulting job in China to think about.
