The answer to that, of course, is anyone and everyone who has been supporting the Columbus Blue Jackets franchise since day one. And then some. Target: Next Year!

Rick Nash and Fedorov can do it! Have faith! I am just so shocked to find another CBJ fan on here...every year our fan base gets thinner and thinner. I wear proudly my CBJ jersey against my Red Wings loving sister and brother-in-law. Have you ever gone to a Dayton Bombers game? Those are fun too and you get to see some CBJ players before they come up to the NHL.

AOIIalum 04-19-2007 08:16 AM

Reports out of Canada and Columbus that Blue Jackets President and GM Doug McLean is G-O-N-E!!!!!! I am truly Tickled Pink by management's decision and am ready to see my team move forward.

But I am a bit sad because we can see directly into GMDM's box from our seats in Nationwide. Trust me when I say that was worth the price of admission some nights. :p

MJo19 04-19-2007 04:39 PM

Hahahahahaha that is so awesome. Any news on who will replace him?

ETA: Columbus radio said no one has been mentioned yet...

Thrillhouse 04-20-2007 02:46 AM

But Calgary has an amazing home record. Next one is year. We'll be OK (I hope)

Thank you San Jose! Now for Calgary to win a few more and I just might get over the Pens' loss.

LeslieAGD 04-21-2007 09:08 AM

AOIIalum, hush your mouth! The Wings better kick Calgary's butt in the next two games.
Especially today's home game, because I have lower level tickets and I better see a WIN.

AGDee 04-21-2007 10:00 PM

One down, one to go. Good job Wings :)

LeslieAGD 04-21-2007 10:47 PM

Wow, what a day to be at the Joe!!! Our seats were amazing; right at the blue line, row 12.
I'm glad I had the sense to also record the game because, sometimes when you are there, you miss stuff.

I hope Calgary's captain and backup goalie get suspended for their dirty penalities.
And I would really like for the Wings to win in Calgary tomorrow as a big F-You.

Thrillhouse 04-22-2007 08:26 PM

Finish it out tonight wings!

"It's Called the Todd Bertuzzi" by Eric Adelson

He's spinning all around, gettin' everybody woozy.
He's 245, it looks like the Watusi.
Here he comes, he's got the moves of Lenarduzzi.
I said, Uh Uh, it's called the Todd Bertuzzi!
44!
It's called the Todd Bertuzzi.

Now Tommy Larscheid calls him "Babe,"
Or "Raging Bull" is another fave.
And Markus Naslund sets him up.
This junkyard dog ain't no pup.

He calls the goalie Suzy.

He's Super Bert!
He's Number One!
His highlight goals are so much fun!
He gets the Clapper out of his seat, dancing to the beat!

We've got to win them earlier.. that game went too late, but what a great ending! Hope Holmstrom is ok.

Do you know who Lenarduzzi and Larscheid are? ;)

bcdphie 04-23-2007 09:20 PM

Seriously, what is it about the Canucks wanting to be between a rock and a hard place? Arrgghh...

Only because of this song and a little research. I posted this song on a wings board and the only people that responded were from Canada:D

CutiePie2000 04-24-2007 12:25 AM

Thank goodness the Canucks won...I couldn't watch until the 3rd period...my nerves couldn't take it. They better get some rest...the Ducks are NEXT!

Jill1228 04-24-2007 01:16 AM

That was one hell of a game! The husband is already looking to get tickets so he can see the Canucks play in Anaheim. he is willing to make the 5 hour roadtrip

AGDee 04-24-2007 06:41 AM

So the Wings will take on the Sharks now. We have a better record against them than we do against Dallas, so I'm glad in that way. However, the games played in San Jose are going to be soooooo late. I'm still exhausted from watching Sunday's game.

And, I might add, the Pistons have won again. I have a dream of the Pistons and the Wings winning in the same year, even though it means a lot of late nights watching playoff games.

ETA: It is so unfair when the Pistons and Red Wings playoff games are at the exact same time. We'll be dealing with this on Thursday and Saturday and it stinks.

bcdphie 04-24-2007 07:24 PM

Ohmigod, I could barely handle that game - I started practising my Polynesian dancing half way through the third... then they started scoring like crazy.

Anyone looking into our apartment last night must of thought we were a ripe bunch of nanas... my husband and brother in-law were running around waving flags, and I was hula dancing...

Nucks vs. Ducks... game on.

Hey, that's cool - the song is so Vancouver based it probably doesn't make total sense to a Red Wings fan, but props for you and your 'research.'

Congrats to the Stars for, once again, not making it out of the 1st Round. What is this 5 or 6 years in a row for us now?

You have teams in the NFL, NBA and baseball...don't be greedy. ;)

Come talk to me after 5 or 6 years of not coming close to making the playoffs! ;)

The wings got worked last night. What an ugly game for Detroit.

Of course, I couldn't watch it because I don't have the Vs. channel.

Ditto. And I'm ticked off about the Vs. channel thing. But, I watched the Pistons instead and that game was worth watching.

Dang tonight's game was frustrating. But that's how this team seems to work. My friend was saying last night that if we're going to win the Cup, it'll take the 'Nucks 28 games to do it...

bcdphie 05-04-2007 06:19 PM

Arrrrggghhhh!

Oh well, even though we are officially done, one cannot ignore the fact that this was truly a successful season for the Canucks.

If you told any Canucks fan at the beginning of this season that the Canucks would win the NW Division title, place 3rd in the West, make in to the 2nd round of the playoffs, and be nominated for FOUR NHL awards, they would have said pull the other one, it has bells on it.

We thought we might squeak into the playoffs, if we were lucky.

Now we just need to find some offence and grit in the off-season, and then, who knows... the sky's the limit...

AGDee 05-05-2007 07:56 PM

Now THAT was a hockey game! Let's Go Red Wings!!!!!!!! One more, just gotta win one more... (this series anyway)

AGDee 05-08-2007 05:41 AM

Let's hear it for the boys from HOCKEYTOWN!!!!!!!!!!!

ForeverRoses 05-15-2007 09:26 AM

My oldest son and Husband are completely obsessed with hockey right now- my son has even decided that we should name his new baby brother Chelios (his first suggestion was Stevie Y). To the point that when he says goodnight to the baby (who will be born in August)- he now says "goodnight baby Chelios". Hope he's not too disapointed when we DON'T name the baby that.

Oh well. I guess since MY team (BlueJackets) didn't make the playoffs yet again, I'll have to root for the RedWings (my husband's team).

One of my co-workers' husband is a hockey nut. They named their son Easton which I think is such a cute name!

I haven't been watching. I'm a bandwagon and usually start watching (and bringing out the jersey) if the Wings are in the Stanley Cup finals.

Oh NO you don't! Cheer against the wings, it's much more fun! :p

Remember, you are the mother, you give birth, you pick the name. Just don't go with Nikolai and we're good.

AGDee 05-17-2007 10:42 PM

This Versus thing really and truly is making me crazy. I have to keep up with the Wings game online, which just really sucks. But, we just tied it. Let's Go Red Wings!

AGDee 05-20-2007 06:00 PM

So there's finally a game on NBC and they are giving me a heart attack... Come on Wings!

BuckeyeTriDelta 05-20-2007 06:30 PM

My sister and her husband once had a cat named Steve for Steve Yzerman from the Red Wings.

AGDee 05-21-2007 06:43 AM

Well that game was a disappointment. I want to have faith they can pull it off, but I'm not so sure now.

I don't know, my oldest son cried this morning when he found out that the Red Wings lost. He thinks if he would have stayed awake to watch the game that somehow they would have won.

Of course he also cried when he found out he was getting another brother rather than the sister that he was wanting. But he is almost 5, so I guess it is okay!

AOIIalum 06-01-2007 07:30 AM

Anyone else going to the Draft? We finally got our tickets yesterday.
