So Tiger is safely ensconced at Auburn now. Her mom has promised to email or call me with updates! Tomorrow recruitment starts and they have 2 eight-party days. I suppose that the girls will get their first invitations on Wednesday morning.

ETA: Whoa!:eek: I just went to the AU Panhellenic site and they have 80 Pi Chis!

Yea for Tiger! Her mom just told me that they got their invites last night about 11 and that she was invited back by all 16! She went to 8 parties today and will go to 4 tomorrow and get invitations at 9 PM. And darn! Her mom doesn't remember the names of any of the groups she's returning to except Alpha Chi (a great aunt was one) and KD.

She can return to up to 6 for Thursday's parties. I asked her mom to pleeaasse write down where she's going!

That happened back in the day when I was rushing! The rush counselor came in our rooms at 3 AM with our invitations and we were so worn out from parties and waiting that we dragged ourselves up, read them, and dropped back into the beds until the next morning. When we woke up, we didn't believe it had happened except that there were the invitations on the floor.

Handing out invite lists at night? WOW! When I went through at A&M, the sororities turned in their lists at night, but the girls didn't get their invite lists until early the next morning. Then they did accept/regret right then.

It is really interesting to hear how things are done at other big southern schools!

BTW- Glad her rush is going so well so far!!! :)

Waiting to hear Tiger's returns later tonight...in the meantime, Scarlet's mom emailed me that they moved her into the dorm at Valdosta! Recruitment won't be until September 1.

Update!

Today is 6-party day and Tiger is going to AOII, Phi Mu, Sigma Kappa, DZ, Tri Delt, and one other that her mom forgot. She has to pick up invitations for prefs tomorrow very early and choose 3!

My Auburn rushee is going to 2 of those... maybe they will be sisters!

UGa update!

Peach and Plum are in their dorm setting their rooms up! They start parties tomorrow!

Maybe the other will go DG! ;) Out of 7 between mine and carnation's there's a pretty good chance that at least ONE could be an SDT. One of my girls is an SDT legacy, too...

I was up at UGA today for rush at AGD and the girls were all so great! Hopefully the rest of rush will go well....DPhiE dropped out of rush due to only get 1 member last year so only 11 parties today instead of 12 and 6 tomorrow.

That's so sad for DPhiE. :( I hope that rush goes well for all the other chapters.

I feel the same way, but no matter what, I hope that all of the PNM's find their homes!!!
