My husband's cousin is a professional drummer. He was the drummer in Cher's band during the Believe tour... he hooked us up with backstage passes and pretty good seats. ;)
But that is it... |

I haven't been to a lot of concerts we've had here...especially since most of the time I dont like the music (i.e. alejandro fernandez, etc) or they go to places were i'm not allowed to go (such as 18+ clubs--when i was under 18...or recently the 21+ clubs).
I HAVE been to: NSYNC Ricky Martin B2K and several Power Jams we've had here. Power Jams are concerts where we usually get people "up and coming" to perform. I missed the last one (with Luda, Mario and some others) but I have been to others yet the names escape me. |

I am still waiting for the Rolling Stones tickets to go on sale at the new Charlotte Arena. Apparently, the Charlotte Arena hasn't officially opened yet so they're not going to put the tickets on sale until it is officially opened to the public.
ETA: moe.ron I saw that you have seen the Grateful Dead. I have a cousin who was a "Dead Head" for 10 years. |

AWJDZ,
I am with you . . . don't know how they got the tickets early but anyways. They're not on sale through Ticketmaster.com yet so I am sending my mom up there tomorrow to the Arena to get the tickets. This concert is like a have-to thing on my list. My dad has always wanted to see the Stones (he's seen more people than God in concert but hasn't seen the Stones) because the Stones are his FAVORITE band. He took me to see my favorite band (the Eagles) so for his birthday I HAVE to get these tickets. |
i looked on rollingstones. com and it said that they had sold out because of the presale. evidently if you are a rolling stones member you can buy the tickets early. i don't know if they will release more or not.

I just hope I can get 2 tickets. I mean I don't care if they're on the floor or not at this point. In fact, my dad doesn't want floor seats because fans stand up all of the time on the floor and he has bad knees so it wouldn't really be all that fun for him if he was on the floor. Cross ya'lls fingers that I get some!

Thanks, moe.ron! That'd be freaking awesome! I can get some of my dad's friends to come and chip in and it'd be fun!
|
Ya'll the Rolling Stones concert in Charlotte, NC is sold out. It sold out on the first day tickets were available at the Arena. The representative said you had to be there to get the tickets. Argh! There was never anything in any of the area papers about it! My mom searches for that kind of stuff because she loves concerts!
|
FWIW, if you're really into concerts, get to know the people at your favorite venues - seriously!! I went a few years when all I had to do was get a floor ticket, and a buddy would move me into the first row! Plus, the venue people really know what's going on!
Also, watch the papers for the scalpers. That's who's buying a LOT of the tickets. Many of them are willing to deal with you (and that's how I got rid of an old stereo!). |
Since my last post:
Built to Spill, White Stripes, The Features, VHS or Beta, Aimee Ray, Beans, Holy Fuck, Moving Units, Nine Inch Nails (UNBELIEVEABLE!!!) OAR and getting ready to go see one of my favorites BELLE & SEBASTIAN!!! (it's going to be amazing) |
Pas/Cal
Depeche Mode Of Montreal Ima Robot The Get-up Kids Saves The Day Marilyn Manson Our Lady Peace The Sounds Bloc Party OAR Sleater-Kinney Sponge The Fiery Furnaces And a lot of other bands nobody has heard of. **I'm picking up tickets to see Yeah Yeah Yeah's next month. |
