I'm not trying to be rude or anything but why is it all these other organizations coming in getting in our business. I thought that was the entire purpose of it being DST and for those who have an interest or whatnot to state their opinion.

I did not remember it but I just looked it up by your birthday on the calendar, LMAO. You registered and kept the birthdate there so I just went to the GC calendar. LOL

If your referring to me I was posted in this forum just to let the lady who wants to be a theta know to check her private messages. She is from the same state & area as me & I wanted to chat to chat with her...

Im not trying to sound rude or ugly towards any of you Theta ladies but the way the lady was treated over a stupid screen name IMO was rude...
I would be proud of a PNM wanting to be a KD however everyone is totally different...

I think the ladies of DST were justified in expressing their concerns about a non-member using their letters in her username.

I think the only rude thing I've seen so far is a non-member going into another org's forum and calling its members rude. :rolleyes:

If a person came to GC, used my letters, and had no affiliation whatsoever to my organization (whether it be as a New Member/collegian/alumna), I'd probably rip her a new one. That's just not done AT ALL.

I rarely ever post in the D9 forums, but as it was stated before it IS a public forum, and posting from members of other organizations is allowed providing they follow the guidelines and policies posted.

KDLady, you don't have the right to say anything about anyone saying something to somebody on a board who's organization your not even a part of. I had to go through the samething about my own username before I became a Delta and now that I have became a Delta I feel the same way. No one was picking on the girl, it happens to everyone that has a username like that.

Different strokes for different folks.

Oh and to teach you some nomenclature, we are not "Theta ladies." We're Deltas or members of DST or Delta Sigma Theta women.

:eek: You can call me rude all you want but the way she was asked to change her screen name was rude & thats my personal opinion! I would totally understand if she was wearing or posing as a DST but she wasnt! All that had to be said was that there was a rule that non-members couldnt use DST in their screen name without just saying hey change your screen name without explanation or a reason to why! This lady is NEW to GC & didnt know she was stepping on anyones toes! I am not trying to step on anyones toes either but I have said it & will say it again...its a PUBLIC forum & I havent broken any rules by stating my opinion...
I came here simply to be friendly & tell the lady that she had a PM and to check her box...I am a friendly person and not intending to be rude or ugly...
Being rude or ugly doesnt make your organization look good & can be seen by many PNM that may be turned off by the way sisters or brothers for that matter carry themselves. :rolleyes:

We've done it before and we will do it again. If you are a prospective of this ORG or any D9 org, we have protocol, official and unofficial, that you will be checked on. You don't have to like it. Delta Sigma Theta is an organization of 200,000 + STRONG women. If Inquizitive wants Delta, she will get checked on here or in public about a few things.
