Ok, I see there are some serious brains out here doing some massive detective work, so I will say that I am in the central Florida Area which can cover any area from Tampa to the west, Vero to the East & South, and Gainesville to the north. I think that some of the colleges represented in my area are: UCF, UF, Embry Riddle, Florida Southern, FIT, Stetson Univ., Univ. of South Florida, University of Tampa, Rollins College....Yes, this eliminates FSU, any Jacksonville colleges or any colleges in the Miami?Ft. Lauderdale area, but the rest are fair game...
And that is the last of the clues for a while...;) |
My sister Jill here is serious....LOL.....when she wants to know those bamboo shoots and everything else she listed are her ways of making you talk ! LOL :D
Either way COngrats! welcome to Alum life! |
I'll go with instinct and say Alpha Gamma Delta.

But I'd like more clues!!! |
Jill, drop those bamboo shoots now!!! Step back!!! Don't make me call out the Riot Squad!!

She's lucky I am working a 9 day stretch on the J-O-B! I am too tired to torture...but come Friday (my next day off) she bettah watch out! :D
|
Any new news???
|
Okay, my guesses are going to be Alpha Xi Delta (I'm a little biased :) ) and Delta Delta Delta.
|
I think my final guess is going to be Tri-Delt. I just have a feeling.....
:) |
Sorry, no news yet...Before my paperwork could be sent to the main office for approval they had to get approval and a signature from the inititing chapter president...
I'll keep you posted!:) |

Yes, my heart and mind may be in Hawaii, but my feet are firmly planted in Florida. My husband and I just spent a week on Oahu in April and I just miss it incredibly. I lived there as a kid and going back was so amazingly wonderful. If you all ever have the opportunity, it is the place to go on vacation!

*bump*
Any updates for us, FloridaTish? |
I wish I had some more news to update you all, but I am just in "AI Limbo". I have been keeping in touch with the Alumane President and she is just waiting on my AI paperwork approval. It was been about 1 1/2 months, but as I have read over and over in so many other successful AI threads, it seems like the summer months are the hardest waiting periods, especially for paperwork issues.
There are times I wish there was something more I could do, but I know that the ladies at the main offices of the "Pina Coladas" are not at my beck and call and that paperwork for an AI might not be a top priority. All I know is that i'm invited to the next Alumnae meeting in August allowing me to get to know everyone even better. The alumnae president is a really sweet person and she seems to be just as anxious as me to get the final approval. From her last email: Quote:
I will keep you all updated as I recieve more word...A little prayer and some crossed fingers would help, though! |

i know how that goes....the summer month wait thing! that's how mine was too. don't know who all meets to decide on AI's, but i know our international officers don't meet too often, although some business is taken care of over email or phone.
hang in there! :) |
Ah, yes...the infamous "AI Limbo." I've been there so long that I am beginning to hear the "Limbo Song" in my sleep:D
At least you've had some VERY encouraging responses. Best wishes! LM |
