I think it would be a blast to meet some of you. but I am not greek. I would like to help out as much as I can though! I am hailing from the big apple.

We have SO much going on during that time. Plus it has historical meaning for many greek families:D

I'm down to go, but I have been to Vegas several times in the the summer, and trust me when I say the months of July or August are not what's up......It's really hella-hot...I mean it's on fire.

Ummm, I have been to Detroit several times and I have yet to find anything to do there...I mean I went there for a serious weekend party last Labor day weekend and it was booty...Detroit the actual sick sucks...now right across the river is Canada and the Casino....but I'm going to Monte Carlo next year for vacation....so I definitely need to know the time frame and where....but yeah even if it's Detroit or Vegas in the summer I'm down.....Oh and I'm in Philly.

Actually an older lady from my church is a Detroit native. Sweetest little old lady, but word is don't mess with Sis. Singletary cause everybody thinks she prolly carries a switchblade in her purse. :p

I've met some very nice looking men from Detroit. I had a Detroit theory at one point. LOL!!!

Those who have expressed a SERIOUS interest are now part of a yahoogroup which will decide when and where the GC Gathering will take place in '06.

Posts randomly choosing this location and that location cannot work. There MUST be some sort of organization. If you all continue in the manner presented, you all will never get a location, date, etc.

So, if YOU want to join this committee , send me your email address ASAP. If not, stay tune for the announcement of the location (date, I'm sure wiill follow) for this event.

Okey, if this GC Gathering of the D9 is 'bout party hoppin', then Pac Northwest is NOT for you...

But if this GC Gathering of the D9 is 'bout rest and relaxation and a little hiking with biking and camping, might I suggest the San Juan Islands... Very beautiful anytime during the summer months... But I can NEVER guarentee a day without rain somewhere, sometime in the Pac Northwest...

Also, I here Tacoma, WA has some good party spots and will be down... But the real hoopla is the StarbuckMicrosoft owned Seattle--however folks are really hippieish up heerah...

Have y'all considered a 3-day cruise somewhere, either coast?

A poll was conducted based on the cities posted in this thread. The city receiving the majority of votes was Detroit.

The task at hand is to determine when the GCers will meet in Detroit. The choices are:

July 2006
September 2006

Now that you know where the gathering will take place, you can submit your vote by EMAILING OR PMing Conskeeted7 OR Epitome1920. One will send you an invite to the GCGathering Yahoo Group. Once you become a member of the group, can access the poll on the site.

The poll will close 2 weeks from today (July 2, 2005). The opportunity to join this group for planning the itenerary etc. as well will conclude on 7/2/05.
