Tri-Delta has AI. I think Chi Omega is one who follows the rule of very special circumstances.

I think we can safely take DPhiE out of the running--we do not have a significant presence in Alabama.

I am going to Delta Gamma--just because!

I'm not 100% convinced it's Phi Mu either, but I have to go with something! Don't forget, she didn't say that the three stars weren't in the badge, she said that they "may not" be in the badge.

Of the four you narrowed it down to above, I could take out Kappa Delta because my understanding is that AI is much rarer with them. And, like Heather17, I don't see DPhiE being the org either - especially not for the south. So that would leave Alpha Chi Omega and Delta Gamma.

But, really though, this is silly. It's like giving a hint by saying "blue". That color applies to some 8 or so organizations! We need another clue ....

Knowing what I do about the orgs, I would be more inclined to say it's Kappa Delta than Delta Gamma.

I've just got to say that for an AI, a significant presence in a particular geographical region isn't necessarily required. That's what's so wonderful about pursuing AI! You ccould potentially "rush" all 26 NPC groups from wherever you are (although, one would think that would be rather exhausting and time-consuming - thank goodness I myself have only been fixated on one group)!!! :eek:

I think it's Kappa Delta, and here's why:

KD has three stars on its pledge pin - remember GCers - we need to look at ALL the insignia for an organization when we're interpreting clues, not just the insignia for active members.

Also, Kappa Delta and Tri-Sigma were both founded at Virginia State Teacher's College.

Interestingly enough, while Phi Mu encourages initiation through collegiate chapters, when there is not a collegiate chapter nearby, alumnae chapters may perform the initiation themselves. We have a traveling "trunk" of ritual paraphenalia.

Does AXO have the same? Also doesn't mean she can't travel to the school with the chapter of her choice as well...
