Not to knock your previous AZD banner (it is awesome!), but could you make one that uses "Inspiring Women to Reach Their Potential" or "Inspiring Women to Reach their Potential Since 1893"? That's sort of our unofficial motto nowadays...
Is the one posted not a motto of AZD?

roqueemae 03-14-2005 11:50 AM

I am going to attempt some at work today. I am putting together a greek recruitment video and will try my hand at Photoshop. I know it is on the computers at work.

Wish me luck!

It is, but the motto I requested tends to get used more often now. I guess you could say it's more of a slogan really.

Actually, it should be "realize" not "reach." :)

Let me just say that you've done a really good job on these! Of course, I'm partial to the AXO banners, but they all look excellent!

This is LOVELY! Thank you! I wish you could give me a course on how you do it. I find Photoshop to have a steep learning curve!

roqueemae 03-14-2005 11:28 PM

My attempt at making some of my own was bad. Really bad. I guess it is because I don't know how to use this program as well as others.

Darlinglilred 03-15-2005 12:39 AM

Can you make a differnt Phi Sig one, for my chapter?

I second this. I am afraid the floodgates have opened for requests. I am sorry if it was me that caused it:(

ZetaPhi708 03-15-2005 01:02 AM

well, i vote that all of we GCers find a way to do something kewl for WhiteDaisy and all her hard work. While copyright laws stipulate that she cannot officially receive money for her work, I propose that we donate something to her GLO's charity or a charity of her choice. Any other ideas?

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 01:19 AM

Okay, my awesome DG sister Marie inspired this...see if anyone can follow it:

Greek Banner Tutorial

I'll work on some more requests in a little bit (read: probably tomorrow).

WOW! I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow and try it. It is greek week though so maybe the deans will make me take over some of that. Too bad. I could have the computers all to myself if they handle it alone.

I will let you know how they turn out.

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 02:07 AM

I can't wait to hear how it turns out! It *should* give you a pretty good handle on simple photo shop stuff...let me know if anything is terribly unclear...I am not a technical writer! haha

I am so happy I think I am going to cry! THANK YOU! Can I send (or you send) this to Laura O'Brian (Director DG Technology) to send in the Techware newsletter? It will share this great info throughout DG-land!

Marie

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 02:31 PM

Hey Marie, I think I'm going to send it out as a Tip of the Month (yeah, those have been missing for a while). And then let Laura and Melissa (who is now in charge of TechAware) know that they can use it for Tech Aware.

DGMarie 03-15-2005 04:21 PM

http://image24.webshots.com/24/9/60/...2LHTyqA_ph.jpg

not DG colors or symbols, but made by a DG. I can follow directions at least! cool!

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 04:34 PM

Yay Marie!! I think it's terrific! Now that you know basic stuff, I'm sure you can develop your skills further using your own graphics, etc. I'm so proud of you!!!! :) :) Yay for my awesome sisters!!

Seriously, you don't know how happy you have made me! :D :D :D

Even if you are the only one that makes one, it's all worth it now!

DGMarie 03-15-2005 04:36 PM

i never knew you could click inside the black lines of something and fill it in with color. For some reason I thought it wouldn't do this. Will it work inside any colored lines (or do they always have to be black?)

WhiteDaisy128 03-15-2005 04:38 PM

Yeah, it'll work in colored lines too...as long as the color is different from what it is touching...you can change the color of anything...later I'll work on throwing up something to teach you a cool color changing trick. I'm working on Web Page reviews now...;)

DGMarie 03-15-2005 05:23 PM

weee look at me!

(you'd think I didn't have a job to be doing right now!)
