Well, yeah, but Governor Lamm has been gone for a while...

The signs that used to say, "Welcome to Colorado, Now go home" have been taken down at the state borders, as have the bumper stickers with the same message.

How funny. I took the quiz & I got places I had never even considered before such as:

Houston, Texas
Jacksonville, Florida
Charleston, South Carolina
Phoenix, Arizona
Brownsville, Texas

Which Quiz?

One of your biggest choices must have been "HOT!"

BetteDavisEyes 02-14-2005 02:19 PM

It actually was. I like the hot weather. It doesn't bother me & I don't wilt with it. That's why I love places like Palm Springs in the summer where the temperature at night was 92 degrees & 118 during the daytime. Weird.

Mrs. DA's aunt and uncle had a great deal for a while.

Their son (I think) had art gallerys in Jackson, WY and Phoenix. They ran the one in Jackson in the Summer and the Phoenix one in the Winter.

where to live

naples, florida!!!although we only have two seasons-snowbird and non-snowbird.seriously, virginia public schools have an excellent reputation. i have a cousin whose husband is in the navy and she was very happy to be moving back to virginia, because she felt the education system was one of the best.

I have lived in Tennessee all of my life (minus a year at Ole Miss). I have NEVER heard of anyone being an active member of the KKK. Yes, plenty of people have Confederate flags. But, the stereotype your husband's friend described is wrong.

I would suggest Clarksville, Tennessee. We have Ft. Campbell, so you can still get into the PX, Commissary, hospital, etc. It is a pretty racially diverse town. We're only 40 minutes from Nashville, too.

ETA:
My list consisted of:
Bradenton, FL
Biloxi, MS
Mobile, AL
Corpus Christi, TX
Savannah, GA
Galveston, TX
Daytona Beach, FL
and Clarksville, TN! Heh, heh... Guess I am where I am supposed to be.

Slight correction - Falcon AFS is now known as Schriever AFB.

I'm going to have to third that one. I love living in Georgia. I grew up in Marietta, a suburb of Atlanta, which is beautiful and a great place to raise your kids. Plus, you've got to love that southern hospitality! ;)
GeorgiaGirl, congrats on Alpha Gam by the way! I am so thrilled to welcome you, especially because I followed your rush story so closely!

What high school did you go to? I'm from Kennesaw/Marietta and so is my whole family....my dad and uncle went to Marietta High, I'm a KMHS kid. PM me if you don't want to post it :)
