I like the "natural" look too. Along the lines of Gabrielle Union, Halle Berry, and Sania Lathan. They have that, "I look sexy in the morning" look to me! That's what turns me on. Tattoo placement is a big thing for me too! I once met this girl in a club and we went on the first date. Well, along the lines of conversation came tattoos! So she asked about mine and I told her where they are (two on each arm and one on my chest). Needless to say I asked where hers was. She takes off her jacket (she was wearing a backless shirt underneath) and her tattoo went from shoulder to shoulder and from the top of her back to the bottom! I was like  !

^^^^Used to wear a dainty DST 14K gold anklet until the clasp broke. Will be getting it fixed for the summer. Has always loved pretty anklets.
|
Hmmmm.... this is the first that I've heard of the anklet stereotype. I've been wearing anklets for years and I have never had anyone look down upon me because of it. I've worn them to various churches, on dates, etc... and it's never been a problem. I simply view anklets as accessories. But this is very interesting to know that people have this belief about anklets.
|
Yeah, I know people who wear ankle bracelets too and they look tasteful to me.
My question is: what kind of stilettos are you referring to because I always wear stilettos as I'm sure most of the women on GC are as well. |
So what does all of this mean . . .that I need to take off my ancle bracelet??? Like I've probably said on another board, my family is from the U.S Virgin Islands, and in St. Thomas from the young infant to the old great grandmother and everyone in between, about 99.99% of people there wear jewlery and ancle bracelets are not uncommon. I mean having a lot of gold jewlery and custom pieces are just part of the style.
Since Kindergarten, I've worn a lot of gold jewelry. Not because i'm trying to be fast, extra bold, ghetto, or to be seen . .. but rather because it's part of my culture & I like the way gold looks on my nice brown skin.:) I have never gotten any flack for my jewelry or my ancle bracelet (that I've been wearing for about a year now) . . . and hopefully I never will, 'cause if a dude is willing to look and me a take a pass before he even gets to know me, then he clearly doesn't want to meet a beautiful, welll educated, honest young woman, with a strong moral compass plus plethora of other skills . . . I am more than willing to let him miss out :p |
For me, it's being able to talk about a variety of topics intelligently and without expecting everyone to have the same viewpoint as her.
Someone who can disagree constructively, without having to resort to personal attacks. Someone who's knowledge of news and current events go beyond celebrity gossip/scandals and reality show goings-on. Those who listen to NPR and BBC is a major plus (REAL NEWS sources), along with those who keep up with economic news and/or read The Economist and Mother Jones. Again, they don't have to do all these things, but they must be aware of current news from a variety of sources, not just CNN and Fox News. But I digress.... Another major turn-on is those who have conservative family values with no feminist attitudes or traits (ex. women with hyphenated names is a red flag). Of course, those who dress conservatively is a major turn on for me; I like to be greeted at the door by a woman in a June Cleaver dress with pearls (yeah, I like AKAs :p :D) over a woman coming to the door with Saran Wrap and stiletto heels. But that's just me, though. YMMV. |

I was just having this conversation with my brother earlier today. I don't equate SEXY with being naked, or in tight clothes. My woman can be sexy in pajamas or anything. Sexy is the way you walk, the way you talk, and the confidence a woman has. I did used to have a thing for a woman in boots though:D If a woman has on a high heel with a pair of business slacks or something...then that is cool. But I don't wanna see your azz if you bend over(I might look, but you won't be my woman)!
|
I don't respect women that wear that crap. They think men like it but most men just want to see them with their panites around their ankles. If I brought home a woman that was dressed like anything near that, my parents would be like.
I like women who respect themselves and dress with class. Those are the ones I bring home too meet the parents. |

Yes I have always been a one woman man since puberty. I've never even had the desire to want to be with more than one woman, and I know I never will. Fast dressing women are a big turn off for me. Women like that can't even get me aroused. Why do people have to sleep with everyone they meet? What are they trying to prove? |
