Just came back from the yellow and it was awesome! My whole thoughts on them changed after going tonight. Since more girls were here tonight I got to see that they actually are diverse. All the girls I talked I truely enjoyed their company and their songs were so adorable. I was singing them in my head on the way back home. They are suppose to call people tonight so maybe...but if i dont get a bid its no hard feeling becuz like with the purple house a bunch of great girls came out tonight...update later

ok so i am finally updating...there has been no word from the yellow house and at first when i didnt hear from them i assumed i didnt get a bid but then they(pnms like me) are saying that becuz a lot more girls came to the yellow's cor on the last day, they had to confirm more gpa checks in order to give anyone a bid.....I dont know but i have not heard word yet that i was denied a bid so dont quite know whats going on.....anyways i have an informal party with the blue house this week on wednesday and thursday with an invite only party on friday. i have already had a phone conversion with one of the blue's recuitment chair people and she was telling me what to expect...she was really cool and she told me a lot of cool things about this sorority as far as how involved they are, about the diversity, and other cool things. i have heard a lot of great things about this sorority from other people so i am looking forward to learning more about them. ONCE again I not sure if I will get a bid but if for some reason i dont then it is OK!! I have learned soo much more than I have ever knew about the sororites on campus and i would be more than willing to give it one more try in the fall.

I just got back from the BLUE house and it was great. The girls are great and very diverse. I was there 30 minutes early so I got to talk to some of the members which was nice. The party lasted for an hour and i got know all the cool stuff about them like the community service, sisterhood retreats, and the like. And I got to go around and meet alot of awesome sisters. And towards the end I got the number of one of the sisters I was talking and said she is gonna call me 2moro to try to get one of my friends to go (This is a friend who is not interested in pledging a sorority so we'll see how this goes....) Anyways they are having another party at 9pm 2moro nigh sot we shall see...update u after the party

I just came back from the BLUE house. It still was awesome. At first I didnt know what to do since no one was coming up to talk to me but then they all came to talk. I talk to one blue girl who was over recuitment, the president, and the vice president for like 30 minutes. We saw a viedo and the blues sang a song. Becuz the the high turn out the blue over recuitment said that everyone who came out may not get accepted becuz they can only take so many she also mentioned that everyone who didnt get a bid was more than welcome to come for fall recuitment becuz she had loved all the pnms. That actually made feel better becuz at least now I know that is I dont get a bid that its not me...So now there is a waiting game....no matter the outcome I must truely say i have learned alot through this recuitment adventure and if not in the spring then there is always the fall......

whatever happens...you learned a bunch and had some fun.

Ok guys my recuitment fun is over, i didnt get a bid with the blue house....oh well...i think overall it may have been my gpa that got me cut from all the houses but its ok i will work this semester and over the summer to get my gpa up not for the sake of just joining a sorority but becuz i was wanna graduate with honors:) So please refine saying your sorry this, your sorry that, becuz I will try one more time in the fall....oh a shotout to mmcat you are so great you were like a cheerleader....lol....maybe i will see you guys in august when fall recuitment comes around but for right now i am taking a break from this.......

i usually try not to post on these threads, but i have to say that you have exactly the right attitude for someone going through recruitment! you are one of the most upbeat, positive women i have seen on these boards and i really hope that fall recruitment pans out for you!

While things did not work out this spring, like you said, there is always fall recruitment. Keep up the great attitude and good luck with improving your GPA. Student Government elections are coming up, you could maybe get involved with that if you are seeking an activity. A lot of greeks run for office, therefore more greeks help out on their campaign...this could be another way for you to meet people and make friends!
