I heart this thread. Makes me all nice and happy during finals time.

1heart1way 12-08-2004 12:05 AM

I heart Rudey for his responses!

Puts a smile on my face.

Munchkin03 12-08-2004 12:17 AM

Muchas gracias, Rudith.

Well I think the CONSENSUS is that I'm prom queen ;) But I can share the crown with him if he really wants.

Rudy will you tell me about fraternity socials in your day?

"Who-wahhh

Just because I walk
Like Obi-Wan Kenobi
You people talk
But you don't even know me
And all these guys I think they wanna fight me
And all these girls I know that they don't like me
I hear them laugh
They do it just to spite me
They're the in crowd
None of them are like me"

Tom Earp 12-08-2004 01:28 AM

Ah, the night is young to some, I think I will go mop the flooring inthe kitchen, "Wash the f**k right out of My Hair!

sugar and spice 12-08-2004 01:31 AM

You guys, I seriously think my head just exploded.

Rudey 12-08-2004 11:05 AM

They say that I am crowned Queen.
Perhaps. Queen was one of the
all-time best bands. They sang
about fat bottomed girls and also
did the themesong for the Highlander.
I connected with Freddie Mercury
because we are both Parsis
and destined for greatness. I also
knew Mozart. He and I connected
back in the day. Did you know that
Mozart was in a GLO? No? Oh no?
Why yes! Yes, Mozart was in a GLO.
They used to call him Mozo for short.
This is to not be confused with Bozo.
Gosh back in my day we didn't have
clowns. The only place you would
see red noses, makeup and wigs would
be in a drunken whore house. Those
were the days. Taking your large
GLO to the whorehouse. You would
do all sorts of weird things there. No
the pornos of today did not come
up with the delightful and imaginative
scenarios we created! Do not mess
with me for I am Queen. This is all
in tribute to Freddie Mercury AKA
Farrokh Bulsara.

I'd say this little fellow...

"Way deep down south, well we play this game
It's them Quad City DJs and you,
We call it the train
So if you wanna ride your thing
Just come on down the train
We gonna rock, ooh, Lord, just jump aboard, baby
So get your next of kin, your sister and your friend
Pack it up now, choo choo, ride on this, choo choo
And, boo, you need to stop faking, and come on with me
I wanna take you home with me, to be alone with me
And I can see you wanna hide it, come on, just divide it
And please don't knock it, until you ride it
So to all of you girls, you know, I'm calling your name
Michelle, Tamika and Tanya
Wanna ride this train, ride out now..."

This is officially my favorite thread of all time.

Kudos to Rudith and friends for a job well, well done!

PhiPsiRuss 12-08-2004 06:21 PM

If you recruit at DeVry...

...is this appropriate attire?

You killed it, Russ.

Senusret I 12-08-2004 09:23 PM

I still can't get over the roller blades.

33girl 12-08-2004 11:03 PM

Someone, please, please, find the pic of C. Montgomery Burns in the knee pants and sucking on the lollipop. I think he might be hoop rolling also.

sugar and spice 12-08-2004 11:55 PM

This is one of my friends' favorite quotes, which I think fits well with this thread:

Q) What's the hardest part about rollerblading?

A) Telling your parents you're gay.

moe.ron 12-09-2004 05:30 AM

The rollerblade dude will definately get a bid. he is the life of the party.

Peaches-n-Cream 12-09-2004 12:46 PM

We had a rollerblade dude when I was in college. He didn't dress like that guy. He just wore his rollerblades everywhere. All the fraternities wanted him. He was cool.

Now that it's time for OMGWTFBBQ SECOND SEMESTER RUSH, how have the DeVry sororities been doing?

33girl 01-30-2005 10:07 PM

They had a thing on 60 Minutes tonight about the "you can become a medical assistant" schools and I thought of this thread, har.

We had a guy who rode a unicycle and juggled tennis balls. He was not in any fraternity but was a Phi Beta Kappa. Go figure.

Munchkin03 02-19-2006 04:54 PM

BUMP!

I couldn't find ones from that episode... I wish I could remember the name of the episode

Here's a hoop and stick: http://www.boulderhistorymuseum.org/...op-stick_f.jpg (there seems to be a lease coming out of that child's behind)

preciousjeni 02-20-2006 11:53 AM

Looks like maybe a balloon string?

GeekyPenguin 05-24-2006 02:05 AM

It is threads like this
which remind me of the good old
days where we had housemothers
to ensure that GC would be fun
and entertaining. No hoggers in our house,
No sirree!
Being Greek was a true honor,
Not like now, with hen's clubs.

Erik P Conard 05-24-2006 03:03 AM

DeVry

wonder if any GLOs have placed a chapter at any DeVry sites,
or have the guts to admit it?
One of these days the University of Phoenix will offer membership
in something....perhaps one of the non-collegiate girls' clubs will
step up and charter. Are there any male non-collegiate ones? I
know a few service clubs have college chapters, but they have
not been very successful and do not have greek letters.
Interesting...I counted potential sites for wanna be greeks in the
Denver area. Theoretically about 30 chapters could fill the bill if
no size requirements...but then, they could have one big citywide
chapter, servicing all of them...but would they count that as 30 or
as one or fluctuate? They might even pass up TKE, Sig Ep,
Kappa Sig, Sigma Chi or Lambda Chi in numbers of chapters, never mind be they undergrad, grad, alum, extension or what have you. This is getting kinda silly...but it s gittin' late...Cheers!

Rudey 05-24-2006 10:46 AM

Man this thread is funny.

I'm gonnna put out a new lampoon pretty soon.
