do you think it will help get rid of the blemishes that the zit will leave?

Skin Care

Does anybody know of any good skincare products that will help to lighten darkened areas of your skin. I have some blemishes that I would like to lighten and also I have little moles comming out in my neck and it's casuing my neck to darken.

Clarins has skin brightening products. They have a serum, night cream, day cream and spot corrector.

Fashion Fair also has a product called Vantex.

Moles and freckles are rarely lightened though because they are not blemishes and come from a deeper level within the skin. If you are getting them all of a sudden, I'd check with the dr. to make sure it's not anything serious. Just in case.

For years I've only been using fresh water to clean my face and Oil of Olay to moisturize it. I also drink alot of water.

Putting your face in a bowl of cracked ice first thing in the morning twice a week does wonders too.

There shouldn't be a blemish if you don't excessively aggravate your skin. Prep H won't lighten past blemishes.

As for me? Well...I'm back on Proactiv. My skin got angry for a minute and Proactiv almed it down and cleared it up beautfully yet again! I ain't no dummy. I'm stickin' with Proactiv.

Anyone know of a good pore reducer/oil mattifier? I use the Clean & Clear Oil Sheets and Cornsilk powder, but I want 1 product that will erase the need for the other 2.

Any suggestions?

Wow! I've never heard of anything like this in my life. Are you serious? What exactly does it do?

Ice works as a very gentle(and very cold) facial and toner. Sort of like when you splash cold water on your skin.

Has anyone heard of or used Tea Tree Soap? I heard some girls saying that and another Ethnic soap as well as Dove worked well. I'm trying the Tea Tree soap but I haven't really noticed anything spectacular..guess I should have done a little more research.

I am also a fan of Proactiv. I tend to get breakouts on my back and ever since I started using the body wash, the body cleansing pads and the lotion, my back has cleared up and I can wear tops that show my back without feeling ashamed. :)

I also use Proactiv on my face and I must say I am impressed with the results. My only issue is the oil. In the summer months my face is so oily and during the winter it calms down. In order to keep the oil under control I have to use the Clean and Clear oil blotter sheets and Proactiv sheer oil mattifier to control the oil. I have to apply both at least 2-3 times a day. I drink alot of water and barely any soda but I am wondering if I change my diet this could help maybe

Missjeff,

If you are interested, I have a brand new box of Pro-Active that I originally bought for my sister. You can have it if you like.

I know that this is really late and I hope that this works for you or that atleast you found something that does work. My dermatologist recommended that I use Johnson & Johnson's product called Purpose which contains SPF 15. I use it on my face, neck and nape. It does wonders. I wash my face with Clean & Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin(it's also a Johnson & Johnson product). I loooooooooove it. It leaves my face feeling fresh and clean.

I used to use Clinique's products. They did a wonderful job at the time. I was in college and the water in the dorms and just the school in general left my skin dry and harsh. So clinique served its purpose.

I think it's best that whatever you try, seek your dermatologist's recommendation. See what they say first and then you make your own judgement.

Good Luck to you.

Wow. Ananda Lewis does this and she says it does wonders for her. I never thought about something like this.

I have eczema so you know my skin is funny as ever.
