it's been a cool bean minute...i am glad this topic was brought back up because i will be Los Angeles from april 12-24. this is much needed vacation.

does anyone know of any good deals or hotels in the venice beach and south central area. this is my first road trip to the WEST and i decided to go on a whim. help a sista out. i hope i won't have to live outta my rental car and on the beach.... :D

I'll be attendiing the Essense jazz fest in the "Big Easy" in July and in August I'll in atl for Grambling State University's Alumi Convention.

I have plans to go to Miami in May as well as the Essence festival in the NO. As far as the beach party in Galveston.....:rolleyes: Once was physically and mentally enough for me! My friends and I attempted to go to Cancun last year but while we were on the plane, something went wrong with the air pressure so they brought us back to Dallas. Talk about the airport being full of angry black folks!!! We sat at the airport all day and night. :mad: :mad: I have NO desire to go to Mexico now!!

What will you be doing this summer?

Traveling, I will be celebrating my FIRST year wedding anniversary (7/13) in Jamaica, Going to Disney World, and going to Detroit Michigan for the Regional Conference.

Locally, I will be going to the TASTE of CHICAGO, and I am hoping to go to different Museums (Like the DuSable Museum,. the Museum of Science and Industry, Shed Aquarium, To Brookfield Zoo, and seeing the Play/Musical

1. Going home to Cali for the first part of the summer.

2. Getting married finally July 12!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Spending 2 weeks with my mother. I'm coming home on the weekends. :p ;) There is not anything to do in Big Ragedy.

2. Going to Las Vegas in July. (I think we are going to venture to Cali for a hot minute while out there.) Congrats Soror Wonderful....I'll think of you while I'm in Vegas.

4. My time off for the summer usually is unpredictable. I'm always "game" to go or do almost anything. If I get "tha call" to go...."I'm AUDI 5000-G"

-Summer school (both sessions) to finish Spanish foreign language requirement (blah!) and also taking a race & segragation history course for my major
-1 family reunion in Waldorf, MD this summer

My summer trips start in May with a weekend getaway to Virginia to my alma mater for my 5 year class anniversary.

In June I'm going back to the Chi for a Soror's wedding, then I go to New Orleans for my family reunion.

July is hot and heavy with the Regional conference in Boston and then I end the summer with a trip to H-town (Houston) for a nice spa weekend getaway with friends during Labor day weekend (also my birthday weekend).

Whew!!!! I think that's enough trips for one summer!!!

I wil be in Buffalo/Canada in June hopefully, Cape Cod in July, Alabama in August, Maybe NC or FL in November.:D

I'm going to Ethiopia for two weeks. That is clearly the highlight of the summer. I am TOO excited about that whole ordeal!! :D

I'll spend some time down in Charlotte as well. And I'm sure I'll go home to Ohio at some point, too.

Besides work, I've decided to take at least three road trips this summer.

To kick it off, my boyfriend and I will be driving to Niagara Falls for Memorial Day weekend.

At the end of June, my friend and I will be going to Six Flags Darien Lake to see the Rock the Mic tour feat. 50 Cent, Jay-Z, and a gang of other people

At the beginning of August, I will be driving down state to visit my best friend.

Hopefully, I will also be able to visit my uncle in Florida again.

1. Later this week I will be heading to St. Louis (any entertainment suggestions?)

2. Will be in summer school for both sessions

3. Hopefully will attend family reunion in Memphis in July (i think)

I'm heading down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Black Bike Weekend which is held there every Memorial Day Weekend. Are any of you GC's going?

I will be at Arnold Air Force base, TN directing a day camp from June- July. Sorors, if any of ya'll are from TN, please holla at a sistah so I can have something to do!
August, I will be moving into my new home, and getting ready for my Ph.D. program to begin at University of Nebraska! :eek:

Dag...I wish I woulda saw this before you left...I had some do's and don'ts for you, I have gone every year for the past three years. I REFUSED to go this year! :mad: PM me when you get back(or call me if you still have the number)!

I will be in and around Clinton, Maryland on June 14-15th, for my best friend's family reunion (yeah, we've been friends so long we go to each other's family reunion :) ). Of course I will also be going to see my own family in Odenton, MD sometime during this weekend as well. This is one of the first of TOO MANY trips I have planned before the end of this year!

For now, I have my family reunion to attend in July. Haven't made any other plans just yet.

I will probably be in and out of PA.....From there to DC, from there a spa in Arizona for a few days, from there to Alabama to visit a long time friend, from there maybe hit Orlando for a minute and back to NEW YOKE CITY!

My travel this spring and summer is a serious matter.

This summer, I'm going to Lost Wages (Las Vegas) for Convention!!! I'll be celebrating my 29th b-day while I'm out there with my friends and sorors!! :D Too bad Hubby won't be able to join me, though. :(

Most of you know I am moving to CA in August. Me and Mr. LI84 are going to drive out there and have a road trip adventure, lol. Planned stops so far:

North Carolina at the end of the month (tentative, all depends on whether or not someone will lead me to resume my post as prez of the She'ra Man-hater's club)

Atlanta,GA and Columbia,SC--having my own Post-Boule trip

Boston--attending a graduation- a friend's graduation

So no one is coming to Charlotte or at least a 2 hour perimeter drive. :(

I KNOW I will be in Charlotte at least once this summer. My birthday is July 19th, and I was going to go to Charlotte and treat myself to another tattoo. I'm not sure yet, though. I know that I'll have another cookout prolly every month until August, so I'll let you know. ;)
