We got to our polling location at 6:30am this morning. There were already about 200 hundred people in line, and we got one of the last parking spaces. When the polls opened at 7am, had to have been at least a thousand people waiting in line to vote. It only took 50 more minutes to get my ballot and vote. When we left, the line was even longer than it had been. I'm so glad I got up early and got it out of the way :)

Woke up at 6AM, got to the polls at 6:45AM, there were a lot of people there, but no line for me!!! Only 2 people ahead of me, I encourage EVERYONE to get out and vote!!!!!

angelic1 11-02-2004 10:14 AM

I voted!

I got up early and went right when the polls opened at 6 and waited an hour. Normally its more like 10 mins. to vote. I dont mind the wait, I think its great that a lot of being are voting.

etahannah 11-02-2004 10:34 AM

i voted already... only had to wait 15 min. my poor parents had to wait an hour!!

yea for elections!! :)

sugar and spice 11-02-2004 10:36 AM

I got to the polls at 7. Still had to wait in line for an hour. Bad for me, but great to see so many people exercising their civic duty.

AEPhiSierra 11-02-2004 10:57 AM

I voted at 6:45, the machine was already broken so I had to cast a paper ballot.

I can't believe these waits you guys have. Maybe there are more voting machines per capita in nyc b/c I have never heard of anything like that here. There seems to be a lot of polling places and a lot of machines at each polling place.

Virtuous Woman 11-02-2004 10:59 AM

I voted. There were only about 5 people in front of me so the wait was short.

MSKKG 11-02-2004 11:14 AM

I voted. The line was long, but there was a problem with the machines that put everything behind. The wait really wasn't bad though--it was worth it!

Hmm, maybe, but I saw on the news this morning lots of lines out the building and around the corners. And the gym in a Park Slope school was full of people at 7am.

I, on the other hand, had no wait! Even made my normal train.

Pink_Bug 11-02-2004 11:27 AM

I voted!!!
There were lines out of the building for those whose last name begins with the letters A-N but lucky for me and my "P" last name there were only 3 people in line in front of me!

The1calledTKE 11-02-2004 03:44 PM

Kerry got my vote though it probably oesn't matter here in GA.

SigmaChiGuy 11-02-2004 03:46 PM

Bush - by absentee ballot. Why wait in line?

Kevin 11-02-2004 03:49 PM

I voted -- first time to my new polling place. Kind of cool -- it's across the street from the OKC bombing memorial.

Xylochick216 11-02-2004 04:22 PM

I voted this morning around 8:15 on my "lunch break" from work. The line wasn't bad, but it was when I drove by around 1:00. It was my first time voting in person and not by absentee ballot.

cutiepatootie 11-02-2004 04:31 PM

I voted. I waited in line little over an hour. It is at the elemetry school. I hate to be there when school lets out

Gina1201 11-02-2004 06:26 PM

I voted. I waited about 5 minutes.

Speechpath 11-02-2004 06:30 PM

I voted, took about an hour, worth the wait.

DSTinguished1 11-02-2004 06:36 PM

I VOTED TODAY!!! KERRY/EDWARDS!!!!

ETA: I waited for 3 HOURS!!!

ragtimerose 11-02-2004 06:41 PM

I voted. There were about 50 people in line ahead of me. Took me 30 minutes.

AZ-AlphaXi 11-02-2004 07:33 PM

Voted first thing this morning (at 6am) Thought I'd be the first in line ... was about the 30th. Took about 20 minutes.

hottytoddy 11-02-2004 08:03 PM

I was an early voter. I voted a week ago. It took like 3 minutes.

aephi alum 11-02-2004 08:36 PM

I voted at around 8am this morning. I had to wait about 5 minutes. The hardest part of the whole thing was finding a parking spot at the polling place...

valkyrie 11-02-2004 08:41 PM

I voted this evening and had to wait only about 5 minutes. :)

DolphinChicaDDD 11-02-2004 08:44 PM

I VOTED!!:D :D :D

First time in person too!! So much of a sense of accomplishment then with absentee.

It took my all of 10 minutes...and that was because my ward's book was a little backed up.

Peaches-n-Cream 11-02-2004 09:32 PM

I voted this afternoon. There was no line so I was in and out. I am a good citizen. :)

Cardinal026 11-02-2004 10:00 PM

I voted! I was shocked at how long it took me, I waited in line for over 3 hours!!
