South Florida. So just a random peeve of mine. Thanks for the update though :)

A Random DphiE 11-16-2004 02:01 AM

ANY news yet???

USFSDTAlum 11-16-2004 01:43 PM

Did you mean Florida Southern? I don't believe USF has ever had an AEPhi Chapter.

Waiting for news from the girls who went to the meeting yesterday. As soon as I know something I'll post.

UCFStefanie 11-16-2004 04:58 PM

AEPhi At USF

According to theAEPhi Website here is the information they had

Epsilon Psi
January 19, 1969
University Southern Florida
Tampa, FL

USFSDTAlum 11-16-2004 05:15 PM

Interesting to know......

Someone should let their nationals know that its south Florida. Not Southern. Totally a pet peeve too!

33girl 11-16-2004 05:48 PM

PA schools hijack

I can relate...I can't stand when people write

Indiana University - Pennsylvania (makes it sound like it's connected to IU) instead of Indiana University OF Pennsylvania or IUP.

My other one is when people say/write

University of Pittsburgh, Bradford, PA

Please say Pitt-Bradford, UPB or University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (same for the other Pitt branch campuses). Don't make it seem like we are stupid enough to call it the U of Pittsburgh and put it in another town. :)

/hijack

Lily1909 11-18-2004 12:23 AM

Does anybody know when AEPhi presented or will present?

UCFStefanie 11-18-2004 12:33 AM

AEPhi is presenting tomorrow evening 6pm at the KD house I believe. They are the thrid and last presentation.

Lily1909 11-18-2004 10:21 AM

Good luck to all of the groups! Obviously Alpha Epsilon Phi is closest to my heart, but any of the sororities would be a wonderful addition to the campus!

hijack to smiley21- I've also met some of the Jacksonville AEPhis; I agree, they are really friendly and nice girls!

AEPhiSierra 11-19-2004 09:42 AM

Now that all the presentations are done I will be sitting on pins and needles until I hear who is selected. Good luck to SDT and DPhiE but I am crossing my fingers for AEPhi!

epi_girl 11-19-2004 10:28 AM

Did they say when a decision would be made?

UCFStefanie 11-19-2004 01:15 PM

decision

I was told my a fellow greek that the vote would be either today or on monday. I am not sure if its acuracy but that is the information that i was given.

Don't forget about "California University of PA".

I love IUP though, so many good memories from summer arts camp there. Two of my favorite people in the world go there.

TrueBlueKappa 11-19-2004 08:49 PM

Panhellenic has made their decision...but, I can't share until the announcement has been made!

Lily1909 11-19-2004 10:38 PM

When will the announcement be made?

efcheerBB 11-20-2004 07:21 AM

Grrr at both fifi225 and TrueBlueKappa. Just kidding

But do you know when they are going to make the announcement?

AEPhiSierra 11-21-2004 06:10 AM

its killing me that you guys know and we don't!!! when will they make the official announcement??

Discotish 11-21-2004 09:40 AM

Sorry for the hijack, but for AEPhiSierra:

Just to let you know, you have a major typo on your website. It says :

"AEPhi was founded on October 24, 1909 at Barnard College in New York City by seven Jewish women who wanted to create a sorority that did exclude based on race, religion or social standing but instead chose members on the basis of fellowship,"

I hope that you do not exclude people due to their race, religion or social standing...This typo should to be corrected ASAP.

AEPhiSierra 11-22-2004 09:35 AM

I thought I fixed that!!! Will change it right now!

now when is the announcement suppose to come?!

TrueBlueKappa 11-22-2004 09:57 AM

Well, we announced it at chapter last night, so I guess it must be alright to post, right?
UCF's new NPC sorority is.....

ALPHA EPSILON PHI

Congrats, ladies! We are so incredibly excited to have you here!!! I also learned that there is already an interest group of over 50 women who will be pinned/pledged before the semester is over!
Its going to be so interesting to see an expansion from the other side. I can't wait!

ZTAngel 11-22-2004 10:23 AM

Yay. Now it's finally official! :)

Congratulations to AEPhi! Best of luck during your colonization at UCF!

Now I'm curious who the second NPC sorority to colonize will be!

A Random DphiE 11-22-2004 11:02 AM

congratulations to all!

PhoenixAzul 11-22-2004 11:17 AM

*phew* I thought my head was going to explode from the tension. Good for you, AEPhi. May the sun always shine on this chapter (it's florida, shouldn't be hard)

AEPhiSierra 11-22-2004 12:45 PM

yay!! :D it's always great to hear about new colonies! i hadn't realized the interest group was so large - they should be a great starting off point.

thanks to everyone for the good wishes!

efcheerBB 11-22-2004 01:04 PM

Congrats Alpha Epsilon Phi. That's very awesome that there are 50 women already ready to be pinned into your wonderful sorority!!

adpiucf 11-22-2004 04:49 PM

I'm sure those 50 will have doubled in size after formal colonization. Congratulations AEPhi and welcome to the UCF Greek Family!

pinkyphimu 11-22-2004 10:23 PM

congrats to aephi!!!

mmcat 11-22-2004 11:12 PM
