I wouldnt have shopped at old navy to begin with.

Their stuff is cheaply made and falls apart after a few washings.

Old navy's parent company, GAP itself isnt that much more expensive and is somewhat better made.

I agree with you. I would have let her use the bathroom if I were the manager. I just mean that I don't think the manager thought that she would have an accident in the store.

When I'm flaring, I have about 10 seconds to get from where I am to the bathroom- if I'm lucky. The problem with Crohn's is that (depending on the severeity of your case) when you're in the acute stage of the disease, moving is quite painful and you have very little (if any) control of your bowels. Making it to the dressing room would have probably been impossible for that young girl. I feel her pain :( I always thought that carrying my card was my safety net... it's horrible to know that I could still be denied use of a restroom because of some dickhead.

I think I just realized, some just don't understand...

when you are flairing with Crohn's and you have a movement...

IT IS LIQUID!!

Try holding that AND walking in extreme pain! It will simply leak out until the dam breaks...and then it is unstoppable.

LMAO

I have IBS, which shares some of the same symptoms as Crohn's. I totally understand. Even if depends did hold it, who WANTS TO WEAR THEM 24-7??? You don't have flare ups every single day.

Yeah, I don't flare up when I don't eat... (being somewhat facetious here.. I'm in major pain at the moment.. MAJOR pain, trying to psych myself into going to work)

I just came across this thread and wondered ... isn't it sort of self-defeating for clothing store management to deny customers use of a restroom? There's a certain chance that people may try on clothing, and if someone really needs to go for any reason, there could be an accident. It seems like it could also be bad if a woman, umm... really needed to change. Sure, she could do it in a dressing room, but it would probably be better if she did it in a bathroom.
