I was only told that 6/8 chapters made quota... which ones... and I found out from MS Alpha that they pledged 30 NM's. |
Yay for rush finally being over!!!
Bid day was today, quota was 62 and I think every house except one made quota and I am sure they will COB up to quota in no time. This is only my chapter's 3rd year doing formal rush and our first time getting quota, it's so exciting!!! :D |

I actually have a good friend who is an AGD there...I totally forgot that until you said this lol, I always think she's in a different house for some reason. That is SO awesome for them though!!! :D |
Mizzou
Just heard from a good friend involved with rush at MU. Alpha Phi took quota of 62 + 3 for a total of 65. Panhell used a new system this year -- all online processing and registration. In addition, a new NPC "release figures" method, limited the number of invitees, resulting in a much higher pledge rate and lower drop out rate. Quota "floated" until they could run multiple models to see how to optimize the total number of rushees, and chapters achieving quota. Yea for Alpha Phi and Mizzou!
:D |
Quota at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville was 47, and the Tennessee Gamma chapter of Pi Beta Phi made quota plus two, for a total of 49 new angels!

FOr Eastern Kentucky University:
Thus far for round three/skit night we have had higher than expected returns, atleast for my chapter. 167 girls of the 200 that signed up ended up coming through. Unfortunately, 60 of those girls are grade risks(atleast for us). So we've had to gradually cut them throughout recruitment because we are not taking any grade risks this fall. There have also been a lot of withdrawals from recruitment as well. I dont know how many ladies are left in recruitment. I left after the second party tonight(there will be total of four) and I thought the PNM's looked great from what I saw. Quota will be determined hopefully tonight(our greek advisor is a moron but let's not open up that wound). I will be attending both preference parties tomorrow evening as an alumnae. I'll put in another update then. And another on Bid Day which is Wednesday. |
DG at LSU made quota.....I'm not sure on specifics if there are any.
DG at the University of Tennessee made quota plus two (I have the specific number but I left it at the house tonight....oops!!! If anyone knows go ahead and post it, otherwise I'll submit it tomorrow when I get my notebook!) YAY DG!!!! I also posted this in the SEC recruitment thread because I wasn't paying attention to which one I was in...... edited cuz my brain is fried!! i meant UT not UK! Sorry! |
ADPi at Mizzou matched to quota of 62.

Kappa at Iowa State made quota with 23 girls.
Kappa at Iowa made quota with 29 girls. |

Sorority Rush is over at Nebraska (as of last Friday).
From what i"ve heard, the number of girls going through rush was around 525 ~550. About 410 got and accepted bids, and only 6 girls that went through all the rounds did not get a bid. So that's almost an 80% placement rate! From what I've heard, Nebraska did something where quota was set for individually for each house. Alpha Phi had a quota of 21, while other chapters had quota as high as 50. I don't particulalry believe this however. Nebraska does make use of a "ceiling" and chapters are only allowed to reach the ceiling. Regardless of what quota was, chapters could only have total numbers that reach the ceiling. For example, in the past Alpha Phi has only been allowed to take 35 or 38 girls despite the fact quota might have been 52 or 46. As explained to me by a girl that I normally trust - it appears that the quota number was simply the number of girls a house could take to reach their maximum. So it just seems to be a matter of changing the vocabularly of rush...or this girl just being dumb. |

PReference Night at EKU:
We invited back 26 ladies, and 23 accepted!!!!! I was very very impressed with the PNM's at both parties tonight. We only need 10 spaces to fill to be at total of 70. Unforunately our greek advisor STILL has not determined quota...........but again let's not open that wound. We are expecting to get quota and make total. |

I will definetely find out the other five chapters who made quota and will post that info Saturday afternoon. I'm also hoping to get a ballpark figure on how the other six chapters who did not make quota did, since one of the big initiatives of our group was to get more women participating in Recruitment. I heard that quota was lowered at the last minute - for everyone to 21. Alpha Phi took 21 and 4 quota additions! |
Eastern Kentucky University:
Kappa Alpha Theta now has 15 outstanding new members and is now one of two chapters at or over total of 70. Quota was 15. Everyone made quota except for one chapter. I dont know specific numbers on those chapters though. |
