Just wanted to make sure my right guess is on the "list" ;) :D

I got an email from EO this week, saying that the website should be updated and going by the end of this month. Meanwhile, all chapters should access current forms in the Resource Center of Pride Online.

Well we can all pretend like that is not true and play our game!:D

Plus, honestly right now I hold "little" faith. I don't say this to be mean or anything but EO has said that it (the website) was gonna be done in February, then it was June, then it was the end of July. Now the end of August. Honestly, the way it keeps getting "put off", if we see the website before the end of September I think we are lucky.

I don't know about y'all but I can't wait till the member search of PO is back up and running. So many sisters I would love to contact are registered users but because member search is down I can't get their contact information. GRRRR!!!!! :)

Question isn't the WHOLE site supposed to be changed? If so, logically, I can't seem them "taking down" PO to "change it" and then them "shut down" the entire website to change everything else. Because once the entire website is being updated we can't go to the "new and improved" PO anyways. :)

I was told in an email from GC that the website will be up and running by the end of the month. Also that unless something terrible happens with the site, they say it is a definate that it wont be pushed back. Keeping fingers crossed for next week.

Yes, the entire website is being changed - I have seen the "working version" at VLS - the Technology Committee was able to show attendees some of the new screens.

I believe the current status is that each page has to be reviewed by council to ensure all the language is what we want it to say - there are many more links than we currently have and I imagine that it is taking council a lot longer than originally expected to get through that. I was also told that we have more content on the site than originally planned - they purchased some amount of space with room to grow & have begun to fill part of that space up.

I have specifically seen the member search screens and the "chat" screens. There'll be a basic "chat room" for instant chatting and a forum almost identical to this one.

So do you know any inside to an exact date??

Schah. I did too... about two weeks ago, when I first saw the "Pride Online down" message.

Maybe they're working hard to add all of the new alphas!

hah! they haven't even added some girls (like me) that were initiated in october... no way they're adding the new alphas yet.

It usually took them about a semester to add "new" members but since the member search has been down for over a year now on PO, who knows how far behind they are.

Keep your eyes on the site today-- when you go to or at least when I did this morning-- weird stuff came up like they are getting ready for it!! By the way it is 7:51am EST

I just received the September Oracle today. There was no news about the website in the publication at all. It also said it was going to include EO news and there was nothing of that either.

My guess to start this poll was an hour from now. I am not optimistic about winning this one! I hate losing even if there is no prize!

How do you receive the Oracle? I know in my advisor notebook it mentions using the Oracle as a resource, but I've never even *heard* about it!

Oracle comes out monthly while school is in session and goes to Chapter Exec Officers, International Officers and Advisors. It is now an email communication so we are getting alot more of them then we used to when it was snail mail.

I emailed Sally Thomas to see if International Officers were going to get a "heads up" (since part of my IO job is to utilize info postedon the website) so that we don't lose any informaiton. The response I got was that I should print out a list this weekend just in case it doesn't transfer (although they expect it to transfer.) I am taking this as a sign that it is getting close!! If I do get an email, I will get the word out.

Seriously I don't get what is taking so long. The member search on PO has been down for over a year. Plus, the "date" to which the new website is supposed to be "up and running" has changed like four times over the course of this year. UGH!!!!!!

(I should add that I'm kind of impatient, especially when I've been dying to use the member search and it's been down for so long)

I really don't think it will be today since it's Labor Day and all... didn't think about that when I made my guess :p

When I went to a chapter a few weeks (2, maybe 3 weeks ago) there was on IO there and she said then that she was told it would be up and running by the end of the month (that would have been August) but she also said that they had been told that it would be ready back in February and it kept being pushed back. February!!! I'm not holding my breath anymore!

As of 7:36am MST the website is still the same.

Any bets that it will be up and running by the end of the year? Honestly, not holding my breath, at the rate they are going and how many times the date has been "pushed back".
