Samantha looks like an older Britney Spears, but she does seem like she's being helpful. Getting gym memberships is a good idea -- those kids need some physical activity. And Lisa and Craig could use some too. |

And who told the skinny women on the boat they were fine? A few of em could have used a steak or two in their lives, collarbones all sticking out? take that mess on somewhere. The boat was the only time I felt bad for Lisa, cause they iced her out royally. Samantha was pretty cool, at least she made the best of the situation and reached the kids on a level their own mother may not reach much anymore. And you know Lisa's husband Craig was down at the bowling alley the next week telling his boys how he "hit that" before she went back to Cali. He was cheesin the whole time she was there. :p next week's ep looks good... |

I just think the LA family had attitude from the beginning. Instead of trying to embrace a new experience for a few days, they planned on treating her like an unwanted houseguest from the second their real wife/mom stepped out the door. I mean, when Lisa said I want to show you what it's like in my house for a few days and asked the kids to do VERY simple chores, you would have thought she was asking something tragic or un-do-able. Pick your pampered asses up and do something for yourselves for once in your lives! |

The LA family did have major attitude and I am not excusing them, but Lisa was off the handle with them and was trying to play the victim. Though I am all for being yourself in all situations, you have to try to "modify" your behavior for given situations. You don't criticize people for what they do. Although that little girl has NO chance of EVER being the next Britney Spears, she did not have to interupt her singing lesson. She steadly criticized Zach's batting practice. She was too dramatic about the chair situation. Just grab a towel and sit on the sand. All she did was mope around and drink up all the juice. |
That Normi woman was a mess! They said they didn't like Lisa, but they didn't even speak to her (from what we were shown).
I'm sure Normi went around talking about Lisa. Sam should have given the Bowers money to get rid of that pool that doesn't work. Are they doing casting calls in your area? I see they will be here in the NO next week. |

And as an aside, my housemates know of Jurek, Sam's husband. His "company" owns a car that's been in their dealership for service. |
Yes. Here teeth were as big as this smilie's --> :D

so i caught the premier episode tonight and now i know what you all were talking about. tammy is a mess!!!
how she gone say she's cooking breakfast and then doesn't? how the first words out of her mouth in the morning are "i need coffee." how she gone demand someone cook her lazy azz some lunch. around my parts, we don't COOK lunch, we make it. she need to make her way to the kitchen and fix her own damn food!! then to sit there talking about "i'm not in the mood to fix lunch" and that whole "get in there and get me some food." AND GAVE THEM A TIME LIMIT!!!! i was too through!! and at the waterpark, how she gone say she wants to make sure they are safe. i thought that meant more than walking out there, yelling to mr. biggin "watch them" and going to sit her azz down. and mela! why do you let your kids call you mela? why didn't you put on some better clothes when you went to meet them? and nana is in great shape! i wonder why she don't slide tammy right in her face!!! and btb, you asked how far ft. worth is from dallas. of course it depends on what part of dallas you're in but let's say it's not too far away but close enough. ;) |
Apologies for crashing the board, but caught the premiere episode tonight too. While I do think TTT was mean to the Biggins, I disagree with the part about Nana. If you've read the profile on the Nakamuras, TTT owns a car wash with her friend. Dr. Nakamura works all day and the kids go to school. Nana is the one who does most of the chores. In many Asian families, the sole responsibilty of the children is to go to school and to get an education. Growing up, I wasn't allowed to clean the bathrooms or do kitchen work. I had to keep my own room clean of course, but my main job was to study.

Eclipse, i always understood that as well. Trailer Tammy clearly isn't aware of that and what's worse her doormat of a husband conveniently forgot it. the only person who seemed to respect Nana was Mrs. Biggins. watching that man allow his wife to treat his mother-in-law like an unpaid worker made my blood boil...
:mad:FREE NANA!!! |

Tau, thanks for the crash course. Speaking for myself, I had a problem watching Nana do EVERYTHING, as apparently did many others on this board. And while education was important to my family as well (I'm the first in my family to go to college) I was also taught how to keep my room clean as well as wash clothes, scrub toilets, bathtubs, kitchen floors, wash dishes, etc.
You get the picture. I'm not saying that what we saw was wrong, because we can't say what's right or wrong in another culture, just that many of us had to balance education along with other household "chores", and even work; and it seemed that Nana was being taken advantage of by a healthy, able-bodied family. Pity what would happen if Nana went to Japan and never came back. We'd probably see the family on TLC's Clean Sweep. |
Did anyone catch the new commercial last night with Mela and her family? They will be on a new FOX show call Makeover my Family (or something like that). They are all getting clothing makeovers, personal training, and their house is getting demolished and rebuilt. From the looks of it it looks like it's going to be a two story house . It comes on in two weeks or sometime in September. I wonder if they were allowed to save the money that Tammy allocated for the house. Seems like a FOX version of Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

one thing i want to add to my rant about TTT is her use of the non-word "positivism" was grating my nerves!!!! |
i finally watched the episode from the other night with the conclution of the biggins/nakumura family. i thought it was too funny that while she was reading that story, anthony's main concern was who used the last of the bbq sauce and put it back in the cabinet!!

I never got to see Trading Spouses but will be watching Wife Swap when it comes on in about 10 minutes.
2nd ep will come on Wednesday on ABC @ 10 PM EST. |
OK, Wife Swap was off the chain! That "Animal House" was G-R-O-S-S!!! WTF was up with that? And how dare she tell that woman (with passion and CONVICTION) that she HATES her!!! I would have jumped across that stage and beat the dickens out of her!!!
|
When I saw that damn kangaroo and the "doodoo" I was through. It's one thing to have a lot of pets, btw: 25 is 24 too many IMO, but to have pets and a TRIFLING AZZ house where you ain't cleaned in a long time is an ANWIH type of situation.
Dang on shame about all of those sleepovers, Kendell and the boys not having a bedtime. It was good to see the other household do a 180 turnaround. That mom killed me working out with no volume. Dad playing guitar with headphones  ANWIH he is the breadwinner but can't do how he likes at his own house. Oh and that drinking coffee with straws -- WTH?!?!!?! LMAO LMAO anal retentive ain't even closed. PSYCHO is better!! When Barbie went psycho with the I Hate You rant, she might have got a kick swift in the azz for all that foul living I had to endure. Did you all see how she did not know where to put her cup when she had to eat. I would have ate all my meals outside of the house until I cleaned it or fasted. :o |
Homegirl is good for cleaning that house because just like the pet people came through, I would have called in a cleaning crew for that mess!!! How is it that they don't understand that animal feces would not cause disease? They could have nearly re-created Noah's Ark with those different breeds of animals.
How can your children do what they want to do? How do you allow a 2-year-old stay up 'til all hours of the night? The other family had the most positive changes. I am happy that the mother loosened up and allowed everyone to live. They were too stuffy and I can see that the house may have seemed "cold," as Barbie said. However, I would rather live in a "museum" than in a feces infested zoo. |

Paragraph 3 -- They did make the most changes and actually became a family. :) |
TRADING SPOUSES
The black mother....UH NO!!! She is a spoiled mofo, so is her kids.
"The wa-VES is making me sick to my stomach" WTH? |
yeah that black family was very spoiled..except the father. That girl and especially that little boy needed an attitude adjustment FAST...but looking at the mother I can see where it comes from:mad:
I must say the father's "rat-tail" was a little disturbing..it is 2004..but he seemed like a hard working man with an extra spoiled family:( |
Is anyone watching Wife Swap? THESE. PEOPLE. ARE. CRAZY!!! What is up with the meditating and "not living in the world of time"? They are tripping!!!
That porky little Stallone boy is NUTS!!! His language, attitude, eating habits, and everything else is OUT OF CONTROL!! I would whip his behind! |
Quote:
That meditation/hippie/conservationist couple were a CERTIFIED MESS! I was like, "What new improved kind of weed was homeboy smoking?" Then come to find out, they weren't even legally married - they did that isht AFTER the swap took place. How do you go through the ENTIRE day without flushing the toilet??   Yeah, pork boy was a straight punk. Crying b/c he actually had to do something constructive. I would've made him read the entire book and then give me a book report just for mouthing off. I CTHU when the clean wife returned home and was crying her eyes out. It was like she was released from prison, lol. |
Big Momma was C-R-A-Z-Y!! I feel so sorry for her family because they look like they have to deal with that craziness on a regualr basis. They appear to be fed up with her.
I knew that she would take the money. She might be crazy, but she isn't crazy enough to turn down $50,000! |
Quote:
At least the other mother tried to get to know the family, Margaret didn't even try. She was such a hypocrite! I knew she wouldn't turn that money down either, especially after she found out she could get her gastric bypass surgery done! |
That was a helluva mess!
Big Momma was from the NO area. C'mon! She looked like she was the "dark" one. How are you going to cuss someone out in Jesus' name? I tell you, a Christian with a 'K'. :o  A Khristian. |
trading spouses
I don't know if anyone else saw the episode of "Trading Spouses" last night but that woman was truly amazing!! She scared me! LOL:eek:
|
"Khristian" mom is from Ponchatoula. Those bayou folks are strange....
I was like  when she said, "Get the hell out of my house, in Jesus' name I pray!" All she kept saying was that they were "dark-sided." WTF? I was CTFU at the kids when they were looking at her like she was a crackhead when she was asking them about church and stuff. |
That lady was KRAZY! The way she kept talking about god and how she went off and just went crazy when she got home. She acted like a komplete maniac. The family was just looking at her like she was crazy. I wonder how she felt seeing it.
|
Actually, I am really afraid for the children and husband. She was out of control! She was fixated on the fact that those people were "darksided", so much so that she couldn't even stop to say hello , thanks for the gift, nothing.
I wouldn't be surprised if we later find out she has a mental disorder. I am leaning towards schizophrenia or some variation thereof. I say this because the families expression and actions showed that they have seen this before. I would be a little concerned. |
Ugh. That lady was so annoying. She made Christians look bad and she made herself look like a jacka$$. I can see how it would be a spiritual struggle when you are placed in an environment where people don't have the same beliefs as you, but God gives his children the strength, wisdom, TACT, and werewithall to know how to handle themselves in those types of situations. The point of the switch was supposed to learn things from one another and her point was lost because she was so out of control the whole time. She didn't explain why she didn't believe this and that and why her faith is against this and that.
And how are you gonna tell somebody to get the hell out of your house in the name of Jesus?!?! Christ ain't had nothin to do with that! http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d5...iff/perrin.jpg THEY'RE NOT CHRISTIAAAAAAAN!!! |
Quote:
When she told them to get out of her house - I was rolling! That was the part I'd been waiting to see! LMAO! Quote:

"La Marge," as my co-workers and I call her, reminds me of another crazy mom named Margaret:
