I think that's the right name for it.
It's either squeezing the bar rag into a shot glass or taking the alcohol that drips onto the pad you make the drink on and scooping it into a shot glass.
I remember someone asking if I wanted one on my 21st. I could've sworn they called it a Hairy Buffalo but, then again, I wasn't exactly coherent. Luckily, they didn't give me the shot!

ISUCF"V"MB used to have Hairy Buffalo parties. Bottle each of Vodka, Rum, Gin, Everclear and some Hawaiian Punch. Toss in some dry ice to make it slushy and gummy worms for interest. Two glasses and you were messed up for the rest of the night.

My worst drunk night evar was after one of these parties.

So they don't rub and clean up the bar and then whatever dirt and whatnot they have make you drink in a shotglass right??

at school what we called Hairy Buffalo was what others that i know refer to as Jungle Juice, which is basically a punch.

This is correct. A Hairy Buffalo is whatever's sitting around on top of the microwave or the fridge mixed with Wyler's tropical punch. You can't get it in a bar. It defeats the purpose.

reverie, Bloody Marys are named after Mary Tudor, the Catholic Queen of England who was nicknamed "Bloody Mary" because she killed lots and lots of Protestants. That sucks, but the drink is really good though. I think I'll have one tonight now that you mention it. :)

I don't like any with COCONUT!!! :mad: I will be very unhappy if I have to drink something with coconut anything in it. I will always ask the bartender what is in a drink before I order/drink it.

I'm not a fan of Jager, but when mixed with Redbull it does taste like candy. Straight shots of Jager make me gag....

I will NEVER drink straight Tequila either. My friend and I got left at a guys house by ourselves in high school and drank one of those huge bottles between the two of us.....unless it's mixed in a margarita, I can't drink it. The smell of it makes me want to hang over a toilet.

There is one drink, that by it's name I wouldn't want to drink, but it's actually pretty good. It's called a Bloody Cooter. It's 3/4 shot glass of vodka, with Grenadine and a tad of half and half in it. It looks exactly what it sounds like. Pretty good though. But I'm more a whiskey/rum/beer/fruity drink girl.

That was the shot that did me in on my 21st. I was up to 19, we were doing fine....and then the Ouzo knocked me on my ass. I was asleep 20 minutes later and speaking Spanish in my friend's broom closet.

Freshman year, a bunch of us in the same dorm sat around doing shots of it before we went out. I don't know if any of us actually made it out, the stuff really did us in.

If you all think ouzo is bad, then for God's sake, DON'T try Metaxa (Greek brandy). It tastes wonderful, but one shot of it can plaster you. The aftereffects are AWFUL.

The Greeks know how to make their liquor. :o
