Theta Tau got 15 baby squirrels! They are all amazing women, and we are honored to have them.

Delta Pi at San Francisco State matched quota plus for 28 new baby squirrels! One of them is GC's very own rayray--let's make sure we welcome her and make her feel at home in the Alpha Gam forum! :)

AGDLynn 09-17-2004 09:53 PM

HEY RAYRAY!!

YEA!!

AGDee 09-17-2004 11:21 PM

Woohoo! We got someone in a rush thread, we got someone in a rush thread!!!!!!

(Sorry, that should be Recruitment, I was so excited I forgot my terminology!)

I'm just bursting at the seams because as of Pref last night, I know how many bids will be extended for Delta Sigma.

But because Bid Day's not till Sunday I'm sworn to secrecy or else hawaiiagd will have my head on a platter.

Trust me when I say that the number totally, totally, totally surpasses what we were even expecting!

rayray 09-18-2004 03:41 PM

HEY EVERYONE!

Like Greeklawgirl said the Delta Pi chapter at San Francisco State took 28! And I'm so glad to be apart of it! I look forward to my new member period and of course sharing it with all of you, my new sisters!:D

squirrely girl 09-18-2004 04:12 PM

congrats rayray - glad to see you checked in over in the alpha gam part of GC!!!

Alpha Beta's rush started today (Sunday September 19th)

Bid Day is October 5th.

Unregistered- 09-20-2004 04:31 AM

Delta Sigma extended 14 bids today! Congrats to hawaiiagd (chapter advisor galore), Courtney the VPR, and to the Hawaii gals who worked their butts off for a successful Fall Recruitment!

Hooray for 14 new baby squirrels!!!

GtownGirl98 09-20-2004 09:22 AM

Hey OTW... is that the norm? 14 bids??? I know that AGD is the only NPC and being greek isn't that big so I was just wondering if that was the norm or above norm for DS?

canadajen 09-20-2004 11:31 AM

WOO HOO!! More new sisters!!

Delta Zeta at the University of British Columbia proudly welcomed 15 new baby squirrels yesterday, including a legacy!! With amazing return rates all week long, AGD-DZ was one of three chapters (/8) to match quota to cap off another successful Formal Recruitment.

Congratulations to the hard-working DZ collegians and alumnae, and also to Delta Sigma, Delta Pi (yea Ray Ray!)and AGDs everywhere for their Fall 2004 recruitment successes ~ 100 years of AGD pride continues!!

:D

Yes and no.

Since I've been an AGD numbers have ranged from 8-15 for FR, and once in a while one or two will choose to drop after receiving bids.

10 is about average, so anything over that is something to get excited about.

Because we're the only NPC, we also don't have quota set.

But the girls really worked their butts off this FR. Must have been that AGD spirit they still have from Convention!

AGDee 09-21-2004 06:01 AM

I have heard it through the grapevine that Tau (University of Toronto) is in the middle of Recruitment and is doing very well. Their quota will probably be 8, which is higher than in past years. Zeta Alpha (Eastern Michigan) starts today. I'll be at Pref and bid matching Saturday so I'll let you know how things turn out there. Zeta Chi starts Saturday, the 25th. Alpha Pi (Wayne State) doesn't start until October. I will keep you posted on GL2 as I get the results!

GammaIota1009 09-21-2004 04:04 PM

Gamma Iota has 24 new baby squirrels! Quota was set at 29 there were two groups that did not make quota. We are very excited! Every single new member is proud and excited to be an Alpha Gam!

Thanks for sharing the great news, Sandy!

Delta Sigma is VERY proud to have recruited 14 baby squirrels. They're absolutely wonderful!

Since we are the only NPC on campus, IHQ sets quota and total for us.

Quota is 10 and Total is 35

We began this semester with membership at only 15...but thanks to an outstanding Fall Recruitment... we're up to 29!!!

Delta Pi has also adopted a Delta Sigma! One of our members transferred to San Francisco State this semester. Was just tickled to hear that she chose to affiliate :D

GtownGirl98 09-21-2004 08:13 PM

Both of your news is wonderful to hear! Thanks for the info about DS, it is awesome to hear that you are so close to total. Since there are no "laws" covering your campus, can DS COB all year long?

Taualumna 09-22-2004 07:55 PM

U of T got 7 new baby squirrels today! :)

AGDee 09-22-2004 08:37 PM

Woohoo!

nutty gam 09-22-2004 10:01 PM

what was quota at u of t?

AGDee 09-22-2004 10:04 PM

6! So we got quota +1 (as did several other chapters). See the NeonPi entry in the Official Recruitment Results thread in the Rush forum!

Had to crash - Taualumna did an awesome job as an RC - and made the sacrifice to not post and removed her signature for the past few weeks! THANKS, CYNTHIA!!!

Tau did a great job - they worked really hard with the incentive program that Panhellenic set-up for signing up PNM's, and they were solid with returns the entire time.

Miss Chantal, their House Director and Toronto Alumnae chapter president was in China on business, is VERY excited for them!

Keep up the great work!

In the bonds of sisterhood,
Shala , former (as of yesterday) U of T Panhellenic Adviser

Also, heard from my old campus at U of Manitoba (your Beta Gamma chapter) - all groups (ADII, AGD, and APhi) got quota of 3 (ALMOST 4!)

Last crash I promise!!! :)

Feel free to crash anytime, especially with good news like that! We appreciate it! Quota of 3 for Manitoba, is that typical?

Dee

NeonPi 09-23-2004 11:17 PM

Yes it is... the first year I was PA there, it was 2 (yes!) with 1 plus 1 ...

Yes we can.

We don't really have much luck with COB, but we try :)

AGDee 09-25-2004 05:13 PM

Eastern Michigan University-Zeta Alpha

Zeta Alpha took 7 new squirrels and had a 70% return rate throughout recruitment! Quota was 9. I'm sure they'll COB up to 9 in no time!

Zeta Chi chapter at Western Ontario took 17 new squirrels! Quota was 17. Only one other chapter took quota. Recruitment numbers were down, especially since the campus lost a chapter last year (due to reasons other than numbers).

Dee

ETA: I'll be meeting the LC, marissa's chapter sister this Friday as she comes in for recruitment at Wayne State.

Any Michigan results?

AGDLynn 10-04-2004 10:13 PM

Mu

I think I have the results from Brenau (Mu);)

I was talking with Kalina, the RC initiated at Mu, on my cell phone and we were talking about the chapter and I didn't realize that she was talking about Mu's rec. results and not GTau's, lol.

Soo..I'm pretty sure Mu got 13 (Quota + 1).

Yea!!

I have been asking about them for over a month now and wondered how many they pledged ( graduated there in 02) got numbers ranging from 30-43.......glad to see they got the higher end:) If anyone can tell me the community in which this was that would be awesome!

Designergal3 10-05-2004 01:36 PM

Alpha Beta (University of Michigan) got 9 girls!

the chapter has 30 members right now- most of them being 1st time rushers so they just recruited 1/3 the current chapter size!

Delta Kappa

Maybe I've missed it...have results from FR at Delta Kappa (UAlberta) been posted yet?

I love their website...www.alphagammadelta.ca ...but it hasn't been updated in a year+.

agzg 10-06-2004 09:41 AM

Zeta Gamma at Gannon U extended 7 bids, with all of them being accepted! It's a great group of ladies, too, and they're two weeks into their new member education.

It's going swimmingly!
