Trust us, it'll be worth the wait. I know I was photographed at least three times. I'm really looking forward to the Pacific Northwest Regional Picture - because we all know THE WEST IS THE BEST! :D

Well if everyone hsn't heard convention was mostly spent in my room -very very ill. I arrived late Tuesday and by Wed was sick in bed with a 104 degree fever!

LD took me to the doctor and helped sooooo much to take care of me. (and I guess was planning to take me back to the hospital because my fever wouldn't go down!)

I didn't really feel better till late Friday...well really Saturday.

So convention was not very fun for me! :(

Yes, if that fever had not gone down on Thursday night we were going back. You're lucky that I had Collegiate Awards to deal with and wasn't in there playing nursemaid at the time!

Well, you were looking good when I saw you Friday(?) even if you still didn't feel it. And hey, if nothing else a cute pink suit will always make you feel better! :)

Yes, the Gamma is backward. It was their banner from 1994 and they were mortified that it somehow made a comeback at this Convention and that it was right over the Board's table at the Gala.

The photog only took one pic of me during the awards and it is SO bad. UGH!

Our Southwest picture is really cute though.

I'm in about three-four photos if you count the regional pictures. I was hoping they'd have a copy of all of the Canadians posed with the flag. :(

You may have. I only saw one during the awards and it was super bad. I am in the SW pic and I am sure I am in some from the Ritual Lunch, but I didn't look through those.

Just curious did anyone find themselves in the huge Gala dinner photos of us standing or sitting for dinner? (under Saturday pm towards the end).

I just bought 5 pixs, hopefully they will arrive b4 the next house corp meeting.

You find me in 3 pics PNW regiional (4th & 5th image?) -- near bottom of stairs 2nd from the end) and the back of the head in the HCB session which was also towards the end under Sat am (near the presenter). I showed up at the wrong time for the PNW regional photo but Deidre was nice enough to take 4 shots from 2 spots and put them in -- it blends so well you cannot really tell.:D

I'm glad you were feeling better towards the end Aphigal!! You're little one is a cutie.;) I had a good time and met alot of nice folks during the HCB sessions.

Unfortunately I became ill after the red dress gala dinner. :( Sunday was a very long day after no sleep; followed by a msg on the answering machine that my dad was in the hospital after a stroke he suffered early afternoon. Thankfully he is doing better now and should be able to go home 7/16 (he hates the skilled nursing facility).

I'm looking forward to Orlando FL in '06!!! :D :)

Everyone looks so amazing in their pretty red dresses. I am so sorry I could not be there (my hubby graduated from his residency that weekend).

The photos are really great. I especially liked the fact that the photographer clearly took some "beauty shots" that can be used in marketing materials. I snagged several to be included in our recruitment video/slideshow ... the ceremonial ones are pics that you may not normally capture in your own chapter photo collection.

OK, see.....a little Alpha Phi snuck on over to the AST board and posted that ya'll will be in Disney World in 2006.

I want to be there SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad ....i am hoping i will this time. Because i love disney a tad bit and it has been a yr since i was at Disney World and the next time would be better ALpha Phi and Disney......dream come true

I'm already dreaming of dinner at the California Grill and fireworks! Definitely Disney after convention, July rolls into value season! How tweaked am I for knowing that off the top of my head?

I dunno ... last time we had Convention in Florida, I went to Disney for July 4th ... jeez was it unbearably hot and humid ... i'm maybe the spoil sport on this one ... i would prefer to stay away from excessive humidity preferring the dry heat of the desert areas like scottsdale. having said that, the tri-delts had their convention at a hotel on the riverwalk in san antonio which i think would be lovely ... but again, hot and humid.

I'm thinking that they're held in these places so that we can keep our minds on business and not on play. ;) The only time I was outside at this year's convention was when I was en route to sessions, the gym, or meals. ;)

Convention is usually held at a 4 or 5 star resort in their off season...so we get the great accomodations with a lower rate. Otherwise rooms would have been $300+ a night.

I think we should have Convention 2008 here!

I think she meant the Fairmont Lake Louise (which is the website that "here" links to, not Greekchat. I think we can do slap bang fairly well there myself.
