My brother stayed local and my sister stayed home. - I love tomatoes and collard greens - I like cold ham the day after - I love train rides - I am a writer and I love to write. - I love to listen to music, and my favorite genre is Jazz. - Favorite jazz artist is Al Jarreau. - I love to look at bodies of water, but I can't swim and am not interested in learning how to at this point. - I cannot stand cigarette smoke and all of my friends are non smokers. - I love the smell of fresh paint. - Although I live in the city, i'm a country girl at heart! - My favorite color is peach and my least favorite color is yellow. - I like my new boo J, but he will get dumped in a heart beat when my mama's docta says the magic two words.........I DO!:p - I have a crush on my mama's docta in case no one knew. - I looooovvvvvve Starbucks, my favorite starbucks drink is Caramel Macchiato. - I love the winter but hate driving in the snow. _ I tend to spoil my car like she were my child. - I have no children, but everytime the little persons are at my house visiting they follow me around and would prefer to hang out with me. - I love my great/grand (whatever you call it) niece, everyone says she's sassy, but she's my favorite little lady. |

I am African American
I have naturally blonde hair and green eyes I played the piano, flute and violin as a child I have visited all 4 times zones in the continental US and also Hawaii. I have visited these states- MD, VA, PA, DE, NJ, NY, MA, CT, NC, SC, FL, LA, TX, NV, CA, IL, GA, as well as the District of Columbia. Outside of the country I have been to Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, England, France and Switzerland. My family loved in England when I was 6mo to 1 1/2 years. I am a licensed member of the MD bar but I HATED every single second of law school. I have only one sibling, a younger brother. My brother and I attended the same UG (Cornell University- Go Big Red!) I am a movie and TV junkie. People sometimes ask if I have a photographic memory (I don't but I have a GREAT memory!) I guess that is enough for now... |
I am the oldest of 3 kids. (I have a sister and a brother)
My son is my family's only grandchild but he is #5 on Hubby's side. I am the only Greek in my family, but Hubby's family is just about all Greek! I am the only child in the family who has gone beyond an associate's degree. (I have a BSW and one semester away from a MSW.) I moved to Michigan on a whim when my first love wanted us to "shack up" rather than get married. I was with my first love from age 12 (he was 15) until age 24 (he was 27). Not counting all the times we broke up, though. I met my 1st husband on the Internet. (never again) My first marriage lasted exactly 6 months. I met Hubby 10 days after my divorce became finalized. I met Hubby at a Kappa party on campus. Hubby was still married to his 1st wife when we met so I told him to show me divorce papers and then we could go out. 2 weeks later he did and we started dating. We got married 2 years ago. My first grade teacher referred me to the school shrink b/c I liked to read and write stories rather than play with the other kids during recess. Grandma cussed her out. The next day, I got sent to the gifted/talented school. I've had the same 30 classmates from 1st grade through 12th. I still watch Sesame Street everyday. I guess that's all for now. |

i had a sister born 13 months after me who died from s.i.d.s. she lived only a day. my parents have been married 31 years so i know it works--it aint always easy but it works i look mean and sometimes, i can be mean, but i'm a really nice person. my stupid human trick is that i can fit my fist in my mouth i lived in the same house all of my life until i left dallas for school in '98 i've visited MO, LA, CA, GA, FL, KY, TN, OH, AZ, and D.C. i've flown on an airport twice--first, from dallas to houston for my freshman orientation. the second time is when i flew to d.c. for Delta Days i flunked my driver's test 3 times and finally passed on the 4th try--all in the same week. i've never learned to play a musical instrument other than a stereo i didn't learn how to ride a bike until i was 11. i got my first bike when i was 7 or 8. i didn't get my ears pierced until i was 20 i was born with an ear infection and no one knew for a very long time (they thought i had colick because i cried so much). to this day, i can't get water in my ears. i'm crunk :D |

I cannot leave the bookstore without buying a book or magazine. The staff at Waldenbooks knows me by name. Out of all of Dennis' movies in my collection, I am only missing Heat and Sinbad. (I will have both by the end of the month.) I have visited: AL, AR, GA, TN, LA, FL, MI, OH, PA, TX, OK, IL, MO, MD, DC, VA, KY and MS. I have about 300+ books in my collection, the biggest part of it is my collection of Sweet Valley High books as well as books from other popular teen series in the 80's and 90's. I love hunting for those at used book sales. I'm saving them for when I have a daughter. My son's first word was Elmo. My nephew's first word was SpongeBob. |

I am the oldest child; my brother Brandon is 4 years younder than me. I am a former high school English teacher. I always wanted to be a teacher or a doctor or a nurse or an astronaut (for like a week) or a child psychologist. I love to read. My first job was a library helper in the fourth grade at John Dewey Elementary School. I loved to read Amelia Bedelia, Ramona series, Curious George, Pippi Longstocking, Judy Blume, and Anastasia books as a kid. Every so often as an adult, I reread these books. I love love and happily ever after and strong Black love. I am a very giving person. I am left handed. I have extra fingers. I bit one off as a child so one is smaller than the other. :o I love to laugh. I am a big crybaby. I was on tv once back in 1985. I kissed my first boy in the first grade in Mrs. Buerker's music class under the desk. The farthest west I have been is Louisiana. My last trip to Louisiana was a DOOZY!! :rolleyes: I have also been to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Canada, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and DC. I've been in the back of a police car. I was almost suspended once for cutting study hall my senior year in high school. I dream of being famous. I love to dance but hate line dancing and always feel awkward when it comes to stepping so I don't. I love to talk. |

I'm my mother's only child, the oldest grandchild on one side, and the youngest grandchild on the other...yet I manage not to be spoiled. :o I love all things medical. I almost died from a spider bite when I was younger, therefore I don't do woods/camping. My best friend is my grandmother. I have a kiss-shaped birthmark. I like my auntie better than I like my mom. :o I can cook. I like to entertain. I love to sing, yet I don't have a solo voice. I've never been off of the east coast...except for GA, and that doesn't count for much since it's only a state over. I want to live in Maryland or D.C. when I get my stuff together. My daddy is my homeboy, and we talk to each other as such. He gets on my nerves, and I will bench him just like any of my other male friends. After a while, we'll make up and start talking again. It's really weird. I can pretty much make friends with anybody. Although more than one person that I'm cool with now said they didn't like me when they first met me. :confused: I don't KNOW of any enemies that I have. I love football, basketball, and in a distant third...baseball. I'm single BIATCH!!!! :p @ CT4 Oh...and it seems that I am a professional student. |

I'll eat any kind of fish fillet/steak, but not shellfish. I look just like my grandmother did in her 20's (except she had a 1920's hairdo). I decided in my late teens it was a good idea to pack up my life and move to Fairbanks, Alaska without knowing anyone. If you want to know anything about SouthEast Alaskan Haida/Tlingit/Tsimshian kinship rules, I'm your girl. I have eaten all kinds of wild critters, and some I even killed: moose elk/reindeer seal various whales turtle and eggs elephant jerky (please no DST ladies hurt me, it was preawareness of D9 orgs) eel alligator ptarmigan I plan to ride a Cable Car in San Francisco down the hill from Grace Cathedral to my wedding reception in a hotel, with my whole wedding party and family. I had a college roommate bring home two guys, and one ended up murdering the other one :eek: I won't eat any onions, unless they are in ring form and deep fried. |

I love to laugh. I have a temper. I was sent to the school psychologist in 6th grade because I wasn't "social" enough. :confused: I consider myself outgoing but I can zone people out every now and then. There are times when I prefer solitude over anything else and that offends people. I am a straight-forward honest person who hates people who lie. I am misunderstood by many when they first meet me but after they get to know me--they can't live without me!!!:D I am the most giving person I know I am somewhat conceited, stuck on myself but never stuck-up! I am the first in my family to go to college. I am the mother of 3 children (2 boys 11 and 12 and 1 daughter who is 9) I am a widow. I am an excellent cook. I have been to NY, NJ, PA, OH, TN, VT, NH, ME, GA, NC, SC, VA, WV, FL, IL, WV, MD, DC and Montreal, Canada. I have about 10 half brothers and sisters- I've met 6 of them. I am a confirmed bookworm- my favorite store is BORDER'S. I am a speed-reader, the average time it takes me to read a novel is 3-4 hours, depending on the book. I tend to read books in stores before I buy them. I usually have read a book all the way through once before I buy it. But I buy a lot of them, so bookstores love me anyway, lol. I reread EVERYTHING. All of my books are in tatters. I have never been any particular type- too cute to be a nerd or a tomboy, but not particlularly girly, certainly not pretentious enough to be artsy. |

I was named after Muhammad Ali's first wife (I'ven ever put my name on the internet and this is the closest I will get!) Most people misspell/misprounounce my first name If I had been a boy my middle name would have been Barcardi. My country but college educated parent (they were both the first in their families to go to college) thought it was purrdy. THANK YOU GEE ZUS FOR MAKING ME A GIRL!! I sucked a bottle until I was 3 years old. I could not tell time on a "real" clock until I was in the 5th grade. My first experience with public speaking (Easter Speach circa 1971) left me crying, now I am a corporate trainer I was in the gifted program in elementary and junior high school I was Drum Majorette for my junior high band I took French in High School (2 years) and Spanish in elementary (6 years) and college (2 years) and can't do more than count in either one I took piano and flute lessons and can't play either one. I can still read music though I was a statistician for my jr high and high school boy's basketball team I got stitches in my forehead when I was 5 and I still have the scar I had chicken pox, but no other childhood diseases I am the youngest of 2 girls My parents have been married over 40 years (but only God knows why! :rolleyes: I met my husband at a AKA, Mu Pi Chapter party the Friday before Labor Day The next day my cousin married a guy who had the same First and middle name They are no longer married The hubby and I "knew" each other for almost 11 years before we got married (I never say dated because we did not date that entire time) We still celebrate the weekend that we met I have 3 neices and 2 nephews, but no children or pets I was in the Honors program at Spelman, which afforded me the opportunity to live in the only air conditioned dorm on campus at the time I was a national officer for the National Pre Alumni Council of the United Negro College Fund in college I am a terrible speller I am a procrastinator I am incredibly sloppy everywhere but the kitchen I lived in Minnesota for a little over 2 years. Other than that, I've lived in GA my entire life My husband and I were || this close to moving to Rhode Island for a promotion for him, but he declined at the last minute. THANK YOU GEE JUZ!!! I was on drill team 8th and 9th grade. I was a high stepper (w/ the band) my senior year. I got a letter for it. :D I was in National Junior Honor Society and Vice President of our National Honor Society. I was not popular at all. I am afraid of the dentist. I've never had the chicken pox or any other childhood diseases. I'm deathly afraid of them now. Not just for health reasons, but aesthetic purposes as well. :p I have my tongue pierced. I was a very quiet child I preferred reading to pretty much any other activity- including television, playing on the computer and socializing I actually have great social skills despite this- people like me, I just happen to like books more than I like most people I am a HUGE flirt (REFORMED- kinda) In high school I was head of the debate team, editor of the paper, National Merit Scholar and did all of the drama/music clubs that I could My SAT scores were the HOTNESS and I got haaaated on for it by all the white chicks at my school That was okay though because when I got into Yale and they got into mmmmm like, Colgate, they knew why. [I am a member of the elite, but not an elitist! Although you might not be able to tell that from the above post, lol] I never got to be on Special Chorus because of POLITICS- I wasn't in the artsy clique who kissed the music teacher's azz, so even though I could sing WAY BETTER than a lot of the people on it I was out. I'm not bitter or anything though :p I am TERRIBLE with jewelry- I have lost one of almost every pair of earrings that I have- I have a box full of singles in the hope that one day I will find some of them, lol. |
