Baby Pictures
http://www.pregnancyweekly.com/album...lady@yahoo.com
I don't know if anyone is interested but here is a link to my babies' sonogram pictures and a couple of pictures of the nursery. Keep praying for us. I had some problems this week which have made me decide to quit work earlier than I had planned. We are doing well now but the sooner I get off of my feet and the more rest I get the longer I can go without complete bed rest. Thanks! Loyally, Tina |

ohhhh-- and because i will forgot to say something by tomorrow morning--- if you are scanning in your sono pics-- cover up your name---- your full name and the dr office info is there for the internet to see!! you never know who is out there! :) |
Thanks for the advice
Thanks for the advice about covering that info. All of my sono pics are on disk. We don't get printed copies. But people can't get there randomly. I have to give them the link. Hopefully noone here will abuse it.

Update on Work
My Dr. urged me to quit working and get off of my feet so I can get some extra rest. My last day at work is November 19th. This is about 4 1/2 weeks earlier than we had hoped and although I won't be placed on strict bedrest yet it will be a challenge to pay the bills without my check. Please keep us in your thoughts!

Take care of yourself and those babies!

Bedrest and pics
Well I am officially on bedrest however it is not strict yet. I have started to efface and to dilate. I can get up to shower, make a snack and for a few minutes each hour. I can recline on the couch or in a recliner or lay in bed. We hope we can avoid the bedrest where I have to lay in bed all the time and can only get up for the bathroom. The babies are doing really well. Our daughter is measuring on time and our son is measuring a week big. Also, I am attaching a link to our baby photo album again because there is a picture of my big belly at the end of it. Feel free to check any or all of the pics out.
I would appreciate your continued prayers. These babies need to bake for at least 7 more weeks. I am 29 weeks now and 36 week babies are usually ready to be out in the world. http://www.pregnancyweekly.com/album...lady@yahoo.com Tina |
Update
Well we have made it to the 32 week mark and that is wonderful. If the babies came today they would have a neonatal ICU stay but not a long one and they should be pretty healthy. Our little girl is 4 pounds now and growing great. She is measuring exactly right for their due date. Our little boy is huge and is 5 pound 5 ounces and measuring almost a month big. We would really like to make it at least 3 more weeks and I have been on bedrest for a month now so your continued thoughts and prayers would be great! This pregnancy has been very difficult for me and I am so uncomfortable. I am measuring about 50 weeks pregnant size wise so my body feels like it should have popped a long time ago! I am not sure I will be able to walk in another 3 weeks but that's alright!
Loyally, Tina |
Tina, you are AMAZING for persevering. I hope those little babies grow up to appreciate everything that you are going through to give them a healthy start! (Of course, I don't think kids appreciate anything until they're adults, but that's a whole other story! lol)
We continue to think of you and pray for you and those buns in the oven! Happy Holidays, hon--you deserve it! :) |
I am new to GC and I have read all of the posts about your babies! I am so amazed at the support you can find on this network. I have only been an active Alpha Gam for two months and I am so happy that there are all these caring people out there! Congratulations on your twins and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you and your babies will turn out healthy and vivacious. Good luck and keep us posted!

Any Day Now
This is probably the last post I will make before the babies come. For those of you who know what I am talking about I am now 100% effaced and dilated to 2cm. Our little boy is as low as he can get without actually coming into the world. Both babies are developing really well and we will be at the 35 week mark on Sunday. The babies should be fine if they are born at this point. They might need a few days or a week in the Neonatal ICU but probably not. Please keep praying for us. We also found out this week that my Father in law who has metastatic prostate cancer that is in his bones now has a cancerous mass in his brain. He only has a few weeks left and really wants to see the babies. For that to happen they have to be healthy enough to go to him because he is no longer mobile. We hope and pray that he will last long enough and be able to know what is going on when the babies get here.
Love and thanks again! You are the greatest sisters! Tina Also, if you use the link I put in one of the other messages I have more recent pictures and one of my Belly at Thanksgiving. I am now too huge to fit in anything but maternity sweats! |
Tina, I saw you are logged on and just want to say that I think that you and your hubby are going to be terrific parents!!!

I will keep your father-in-law in my prayers. |
One more update
My Father in law passed away last Tuesday. We were surprised how quickly he went. The babies are still determined to wait this out and my Dr. has scheduled me for induction this Friday. Only five more days. I can't believe they will be here so soon. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Our family needs them all right now. This is a very difficult time for all of us but I think my husband is having a hard time mourning for his dad and being excited about the babies at the same time.
Tina |
Tina,
I'm so glad you checked in because I was wondering what was happening with you. Please accept my sympathies on the loss of your father-in-law. I know that your family must be so sad that he didn't get to see the twins, but he will look down on them from heaven and be a guardian angel for them all their lives. Please take good care of yourself this week. We are looking forward to some happy news from you soon--our love, good wishes, and prayers are with you and your family! LIEP, Maria |
Maria, you say things so well.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family in this sad but joyful time. |
Tina had her babies yesterday!!! One boy and one girl-- Patience was 5lbs7oz and Christian was 7lbs1oz. The are beautiful!!! (and honestly i don't usually say that about babies!, but they really are). Tina had some problems with her blood pressure and needed a couple pints of blood. She looks great and will be home on Sunday.

This link will take you to a page with links to three different baby picture pages. Each baby has two middle names...the site doesn't show last names. Thank you all for your well wishes, other than lack if sleep and recovering from blood loss I am doing well and both babies are awesome. They were sweet enough to sleep for fuve hours straight last night. Tina excuse any typos I am doing this onr handed |
Oh they are so so precious!!! I am really and truly thrilled for you, Tina. :)
|
Another prayer please
Both babies have RSV...please keep them in your prayers. We spent two days at the local children's hospital while Christian was being treated and Patience was being observed. We are home now but symptoms can last for up to six weeks and the babies are truly sick and pretty miserable. The cough and sneeze and then cry because their throats are raw from coughing and sneezing and they choke on their mucus because it is too thick for them to move. RSV can be very serious in infants so we are praying that it doesn't get worse for either baby.
Thanks again! And here are our most recent pictures! http://www.pregnancyweekly.com/album...lady@yahoo.com |
Ahhh, how cute!!
Sending you wishes that the babies are get well very soon. |
They are both SO beautiful. Congratulations!

New Pictures
The babies are growing fast so I thought I would share.
http://www.pregnancyweekly.com/album...lady@yahoo.com They are six and a half weeks old right now. Most of the time they are angels but at the moment they are both screaming inconsolably. I finally gave up and put them in their swings. I hope it doesn't last too long! Keep us in your thoughts, Christian has to start physical therapy next week for a shortened muscle in his neck. It keeps him from being able to straighten his head up...it is always sideways. Patience is doing well though and so far no real problems. |
Prayers again
Christian was born with a shortened muscle in his neck because of the way he was positioned in utero. We have been doing physical therapy and the muscle is much better but the positioning in utero and the way he has held his head because of the muscle has caused him to have a misshapen head...mostly in back. Some of this will correct itself with the stretching of the muscle but not all of it. He will probably have to wear a helmet to correct the problem and insurance doesn't cover the cost because it is considered cosmetic. It costs about $2000 for the helmet so we are trying to figure out where the money is coming from since I am staying home. Our little legacy Patience is really doing well. Here is a link to their website...not just a bunch of pictures:
http://www.babyhomepages.net/sexton-...wins/index.php Please keep us in your prayers while we face this new struggle! Thanks! |
How is Christian doing?
|
Thanks for asking
Christian is doing pretty well. He now has full range of motion with his neck. We go to the consultation for his orthotic helmet at the end of next month. We found out that instead of the $2000 we were told by the physical therapist it will be $3200 that the insurance won't pay for. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel just paying for formula and diapers. Both babies are growing so fast. Patience is rolling over, Christian is trying to sit up and both babies are getting their first tooth. Christian is almost 17 pounds and Patience is 14 1/2. Check out their website from the link I posted before.
I have a weird request for you all. If anyone would be willing to go to www.verybestbaby.com and register using 1/27/05 as a birthdate and your own name and address and be willing to mail me coupons for formula when you get them I would really appreciate it. If you are willing to do that please email me at hyphenatedlady@yahoo.com and I will send you my address. It will take about 6 weeks for the coupons to come and they come in a little booklet and with a calendar. Don't need the calendar but do need the coupons. Every dollar we save on formula will go to Christian's helmet. Thank you all so much! Tina |
Is there anything else?
Hey Tina, is there anything else we can do... like diaper coupons from the newspaper or other things? I will do this for you (the formual) and whatever else you need!
What about clothes? I work for a national retail chain and get GREAT discounts on everything... if you tell me sizes to be on the look out for, I can help you out there. If you want to even think ahead to next winter and don't care if they are at the top of the fashion charts, I can get the red tag clearance stuff for dirt cheap prices! Just let me know. Also I guess I did the right thing and registered for something on there... don't know if it was the right option or not. |
