And yeah, hobbits shouldn't do the Hammer dance. ;) |
I remember Family Matters coming on in the late 80s. How did it end up on I love '91?

You're probably right. They had 90210 in the 1991 hour but it came out in 1990. But I think it became really popular in '91.
The guys from Maroon 5 singing and dancing to "The Humpty Dance" was hilarious. Hal is the best commentator. I could do with alot less Michael Ian Black. He's more obnoxious/annoying than funny. |
i love michael ian black (i think that's his last name). he cracks my shit up! with the slap bracelets "slap bracelets are for pre-teens who are into pre-bondage. *slap* (may fave part -->) i like it!"
and the other one for rollerblades "i'll rollerblade over yo momma!" |
There was waaaay too much Michael Ian Black in the 92-93 episodes. He's only funny in small doses.
|
I have a strong urge to rent New Jack City... Chris Rock at his finest!:p
|
I saw I love 92 last night with my friend. We were dying laughing the entire time!
I know some people think that it's a little early to be reminiscing about the 90's but it is very entertaining! And I like it because I remember that stuff better than things from the 80s. |
All I know is that I am signing up to be a "Hal-openo." :D

:::sigh::: I've loved good ol' Hal since his Talk Soup Days. And I'm a HUGE Michael Ian Black fan. Anyone else remember him on The State on MTV?
I love watching these shows. I'm glued to my tv every night this week so I can see them all. My fiance thinks the Jay and Silent Bob Renaming a Popular TV Show is the funniest part. I just want to slap the damn dancing baby! |
I have been watching and it's pretty fun! I just HATE that stupid dancing baby!! Why did anyone ever think that was a good idea? Irritating as all hell...

ETA: And I will admit. I LIKED Crystal Pepsi! |

I remember we loved Crystal Pepsi at my house. My mom used to buy it in 24 packs all the time (my brother and I were living at home then) and it would be gone ASAP! I think we just thought we were cool. |
I'm loving it, but they're missing so much stuff! What about Saved by the Bell???!!!!

i miss life in the mid 90s. i was listening to the radio today and Hootie and the Blowfish came on. it made me sad. i am feeling nostalgic:( |
I want to ride Hal Sparks. I want this man's children.
|
My ex-boyfriend's brother looks like Hal Sparks and I think about that everytime I see this show.

I think Pepsi was 10 years too early with their Crystal Pepsi brand. With all the health food craziness, I think people would love CP if it had come out now. |
At the risk of sounding like I live under a rock, who is Hal Sparks?

Gotta love Forrest Gump though. |
They left out the OJ Simpson verdict, too. That was a HUGE event in '95.

Hal Sparks (is so cute, eeeeee!) [/schoolgirl squealing] When was My So Called Life? Wasn't it '94 or '95? If so, they missed that too. |

"My So-Called Life" was from 94-95. I remember is was up against "Friends", which killed it. They even had AJ Langer (Rayanne) as a commentator, but no mention of the show. Maybe it will be in the 90's Strike Back. They missed "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Blossom" too.
|
There's no mention of Mariah Carey who is probably one of the most influential female pop singers. We can make fun of her all we want but there probably wouldn't be a Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, etc. if it weren't for Mariah since they all try to emulate her singing style and phrasing. But, they did mention Color Me Badd which had 2 songs and then faded into obscurity.

Thank You, ZTAngel!! Mariah started it all for those girls. And she had a #1 song in every year of the 90's. I'm hoping they'll mention her in 1997, when the "Butterfly" album came out.
|
Hal Sparks was in/is in Queer as Folk... at least that's what it says in his little name box.
I didn't watch all of '95. But yeah, the OJ verdict was pretty freaking huge to leave out. |
