Okay, I've already slacked off on entering in my foods. First of all, it takes me forever to find exactly what it was I ate (I hate just guesstimating), and a lot of the times I haven't been able to find it. I don't know the nutritional value of a lot of what I eat, so I feel I've had to skip out on making entries. Second of all, I find (and it's only been 4 days!) that it's a hassle to go to the site and try to remember what all I've eaten that day, b/c I don't have time to do it the second I'm finished eating. :confused:

A little off topic....but I was wondering if any of you know whether or not the pill makes a chick gain weight? My girl has just switched over from the patch to the pill and I'm wondering if the fact that she went from a size 3 to a 5 has anything to do with her starting to take the pill. I thought she was just either starting to get fat or she got pregnant and didnt know it. I dont want to say anything to her because she's brought it up on her own about going up a couple of sizes....but do you think the pill could be causing some weight gain?

It's very possible...although there haven't been any conclusive studies that prove this theory. I know some women gain weight when going off the pill...but I'm sure w/ all those extra hormones floating around her body it's had some sort of effect.

The patch and the pill are the same thing: estrogen and progesterone. With the patch you absorb the medicine through your skin, with the pill, you absorb it through your digestive tract. The dose may be different, but that's it.
ETA: complainign about going from a 3 to a 5... geesh. |

I don't like stores that measure their sizes in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 - that is the way cheap high-scool type junior-size clothes come. I like 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc..., the way nicer brands do it. Or, for jeans, I like them in waist sizes - 24, 25, 26, etc...
Also, it bugs me how Express does 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and so on. Sorry, I just had to rant - I know it doesn't really belong in this thread, but the size thing came up, so... |

I will be doing: A FIRM workout video tape (for the first segment of the challenge) it will be FIRM Maxiumum body shaping, 3 days a week. Here is the video http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg It can easily be modified and it keeps the heart rate up there :) The other 2 days will be the Winsor Pilates intro tape. I will journal food on paper and eventually fitday. Start by drinking 6 glasses of water and aim for 8 or more 3 fruits/veggies a day and aim for 5 I recorded my weight and measurements (hell no you are NOT gonna see those) and I will weigh and measure every other week |
Okay, I'm on board too! I gained 60 pounds while I was pregnant, and I've only lost about 45 of it. I weighed a little more than what I wanted when I got pregnant, so to be at my fighting weight, I'd like to loose 25 more.

Yeah... Jen fell off the wagon and got left in the dust. I had lost like 2 pounds and then gained it all back and then some. Yeah... But I am officially off depo on the 17th so maybe when I work out the weight will actually come off and stay off.
But writing everything down... yeah that stopped after I came home from Hawaii at the end of June. |
I lost 5-6 lbs. :) I would like to lose 10-13 more.

My new gym in my neighborhood opened today. I plan to go there tonight for a couple of hours. I need both the physical and mental release after the day I am having.........My goal is to lose 15 pounds and get back to 120. My weight goes back and forth. Ugh.

I totally feel off the boat for the past 5 days. Boo! I was doing well, and had lost another pound or two, and I think my 5 day hiatus from the diet and exersice made me gain it all back :-( grr! I am quite mad t myself. Oh well. Today I go back. I have an event I want to go to at the end of September, and I want to lost 4 pounds for it. 4 pounds, 2 weeks! I can do it!

No, I never had a personal website. Who is this girl? I've never heard of her.
The only website I have ever made was for a class on parasites. You can view it here . Not a fun thing to catch! But, I wanted to bump the thread, as things are going well, and I've done a good job for the past 5 days on eating/ getting activity in. In total, since last May, I've lost about 10 pounds. :) I still have 5 to go! How are things going for everyone else? |
Come work for Hertz...you'll lose 10 pounds in 3 1/2 months...

I've lost 7 lbs in the last 2 weeks from REALLY trying. I have 3 more lbs to go to meet my goal. Whoo hoo. I cheated tho and did it by taking aderall. I had NO appetite. It was GREAT. |
I've lost 17 since July! I'm really happy with how I look now. I'd to loose 5 more so that I can indulge over the holidays and then get back down to this size for my wedding in May! :) I just found out my wedding dress will be in next week so hopefully all my hard work will have paid off.
I'm also doing Pilates 2x a week and it's definitely lengthening my muscles. I hope to have kick ass arms for the big day like my instructor does! |

My bf and I are starting the Atkins diet tonight! Gotta lose weight. I've been hitting the gym pretty regularly. Like 2-3 times a week. Gonna start going 3-5 times a week. Thanksgiving is going to be harsh.

I know I said I'd do most anything to lose some weight, but I don't recommend losing 15 lbs. by being sick for 2 weeks. Now I'm just going to try to keep it off.

I've lost another 5 lbs since the last update. Its probably more, but since I am doing a lot of strength training, I am adding muscle weight as I loose fat. So my 11 lbs lost total, probably equals 15-17 in pre-strength training lbs. My trainer and I changed my target weight. I now need to loose another 7-8 lbs to reach my new target weight. I can have that off in a month no problem. Then its about bulking up. If I ate better (read cut out beer and sweets, and took in more protein) then I'd see a faster increase in size. I'm ok with that tho. I've been working out with the trainer for a year next month and if it takes me another year to get where I should be, than thats cool. I should see faster progress this year because I am 1) doing serious cardio and 2) increased the amount of strength training I do by a third. I am not concerned with getting stronger, I want to get bigger. I will. It will just take time. Time is what I've got. |
