Wait, Lou Diamond Phillips' ex-wife is no longer a lesbian? whattttttt? Didn't she and Melissa "have" another child?
Too crazy for me! Folks need to decide what they want! I think Anne Heche(?) was "in it" for the attention/publicity. Poor Ellen, homie is all depressed and thangs...Ellen betta let dat chit go! LOL BTW, as for SATC, I think that Samanatha is only on a hiatus from the "peter". She'll get tired of "Vanessa" and get back with "peter", if you know what I mean! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif |
I will probably hang for this, but I think the show is unfunny. Ok corny. It tries TOO hard to not try too hard. The narrative in that half-raspy, half-sqeaky voice is irritating. Sorry, I am gonna have to give it two thumbs down.
|
I have to say, after dating a jazz musician, last week's episode just spoke to me on a very deep level. I, too, understand what it is like to be shushed so i can listen to music of a genre I don't care for. Thank you, HBO. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
|
Did Maria turn "Fatal Attraction" or what? Does "Bunny" always have that bow in her hair? Did Aiden look like a "cutie" or what...all cleaned up!
|
Quote:
I told ya Samantha was just on hiatus from the Peter! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif Heck, I didn't even recognize Aiden... Aiden or Big, who will win this time? Carrie better choose Aiden and leave Big (even though I like him) ALONE! Bunny needs to hop her ASSessments somewhere! She got an EYE full at the end... GET A LIFE, BUNNY! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif |
Okay...I thought this was another of Samantha's whims. Maria went off the chain, throwing those plates! I would not have let her back in. Bunny was a NUT. I'm glad she got sexiled (was that the word Carrie used?), she needed to get a hint!
I hope Carrie and Aidan get back together. Why did "Mr. Skidmarks" get back into the picture--are he and Miranda going to be an item again? |
Aidan was a cutie in last night's episode.
What's up with Miranda's teeth and her tummy? Did anyone notice the pouch? Mr Skidmarks!! That is too funny! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Help me out Sorors, because I am full of "Why was Bunny..." questions today. Why was Bunny rubbing Trey like that? Why was Bunny and Trey laying on that bed? Why does Bunny think she will always be there? And, why does Bunny wear those bows? Are bowheads coming back into style? I just love SITC!!!! ------------------ Smooches [This message has been edited by Skeelicious1 (edited June 25, 2001).] |
Bunny's what's called a controlling mama, still wants to live through her son. I'm glad that Charlotte, in her oh so gentle way, told her off.
About Bunny's bow, that type of hairstyle never went away for some folx, like Upper East Side society types. Aidan was almost unrecognizable with the short hair. Glad that Samantha is going back to guys, but I did LMAO at Maria's plate-smashing act. |
Is it me, or are these women from Sex in the City waaaaaay to trivial?? I mean they let a lot of good men go over some ole bull$h*t. Like Miranda dumping that one guy cuz he used the bathroom with the door open...So what? That is just a man being a man. How can she consider that nasty when SHE was the one who caught the STD.
As far as Carrie, I mean could she give the jazz ADD man a chance? At least he has talent, ya know? I would get him on some medication and we would work it out, okay? Maybe it's just me, but they go through men like toilet paper. If they stopped for a minute, developed a REAL relationships, and not jump in the bed with every man who says "hello," they might actually have some fulfillment in their lives. |

...sex and the city...is back to its regularly scheduled hetero programming...
see...you coulda asked a lesbian was sam gonna "experiment" for a long time. the answer would have been no. sam is pretty much "strictly..." well you know the end of that saying and if you don't email me! and when her girl (or ex-girl) got pissed off and snapped. switch it around. say you were at your man's crib and some chick came to the door...TWO A.M. talkin bout..."lets...f..." i know somebody would have started snappin. when i was reading some of the posts i thought ol' girl just went off for no reason...but hey she had a pretty decent one in my opinion. well i don't recommend smashing ish...but she is alot like the women that i know (hetero and gay) *shrug* it happened. but you all must admit the strap-on scene and sam's subsequent back problem was too hilarious. as far as these women being trivial. i agree. miranda as much as i think she can be cool..dumped her boy (the one who owns the bar now) because she needed her "space" and he wasn't "ambitious"...uh yeah who owns the bar now! and carrie...cheating with the emotionally and, at the time, physically unavailable mr.big on aiden...yeah now who looks so good with his short hair-do. yeah...*grin* i hope he doesn't take her back...but i'm sure he will. oh yeah and bunny walking in...*LOL* yep thats what she gets! annoying mother-in-laws thank goodness i'll never have to deal with that! sam...in my opinion...is the healthiest of them all!!! oh and btw...you may want the bathroom closed when your partner uses it...but it is a fact that s/he will use it. get used to it. *shrug* its a natural function. peace |
Okay,
Did you all see the episode tonight? Why is Carrie getting on my nerves with this Big thing? I mean, yeah, I liked her with him, cause I like Big. However, she is now with Aiden and seems to be happy. So, now that Big is having BIG problems with the movie star and she has dumped him, why does he have to come to Carrie? Why does she have to accept him calling her, etc? For a minute, I thought that she was really blowing it with Aiden. I was dayum girl, you're about to mess this isht up, Big Time! No pun, intended...LOL! I'm just glad that everything has ended up working out for them, but you know it's the principle of the matter. I don't think I could be so easy going on Big after all that she went through with him and how he wasn't there for her, back in the day... OH Well, that's TV... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif |
man oh man I love SATC! I got into it around the second season!
It is just me, or does sometimes Carrie look BEAUTIFUL(like all 4 ladies in the whites suits, they look 2 tight!) but at times she can look like a damn lion! Maybe I need to put her in that ugly but cute thread, lol! Sam is just the bomb, she don't give a damn and she's honest, I like that. Miranda is the bomb, but her fear of commitment is making her lose good men. I didn't know steve had cancer??? WTF????And the whole "losing her mama" episode had me crying. I still have my mama, but dang the whole thing of not being able to argue again, man! that was deep. Charlette is what I call "classic" pretty. I like her innocence, but I am glad she is shedding it to get big and bad on Trey mama! QTE |
AKA2D '91,
I am with you, I was like Carrie needs to chill out with this Big thing. I was like so what, Willow dumped him, that is basically what he gets. Just because she and Big are friends, I was like why she have to make Aiden be friends with him as well? But I see it all kind of worked out in the end....go figure...but it's TV like you said. ------------------ ...and like that I'm gone!! KL |

Carrie and that bus is a little played out. I thought they would have changed the intro last year with that More, More, More advertisement. I liked that too! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif |
YAY!
I'm so happy for Carrie and Aiden! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif I can't wait until January for 6 new episodes. I felt sorry for Charlotte. Poor thing. I didn't realize Trey was 43! EEKA EEKA http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif |
My feelings are so hurt. I feel like this is the beginning of the end. Miranda is having a baby. Charlotte is married. Carrie is engaged. What is left? Please, someone console me.
|
http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif! Poor Charlotte! I don't know what I'd do with a mum-in-law like Bunny. He tells her everything, which just isn't cool. Her "Mandarin Child" comment was too much. I could have slapped her! I guess 43 is a little on the high end of things to start a family, but he knew what he was getting into with Miss Charlotte.
Aidan got Carrie good...that was a pretty decent proposal. See what happens when you're nosy? Ah, I wouldn't worry too much about this being "the beginning of the end", although things tend to be changing. You know how TV is. |
OK, Aiden's proposal was sweet & all, but YA'LL KNOW that Carrie is not about to get married! She is the MAIN character and that will just mess-up the shows dynamics. I don't know about anyone else but I'm holding out for the Carrie & Mr. Big reunion.
|
If Carrie does NOT marry Aidan, it will STILL mess up the show.
All these years, they have had the round table discussion about men and marriage and all that. So now, that it is beginning to happen, YOU DON'T WANT IT? You're scurred? You're throwing up? EEKA EEKA WTF? The only person that really had not ever talked about wanting to get married or the whole relationship thingy was Samantha. |
Quote:
I also think that Samantha needs to try and settle down. I don't believe that women are cut out to have meaningless sex forever. She's dillusional. She's trying to prove to herself that she doesn't need anybody, when in fact she does. We all do. I mean really, who wants to be alone forever? And, what's she gonna do when she hits 70? Still be sleeping with all those men? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif I hope not! |
"Sex and the City" is just an HBO version of "The Golden Girls", with younger women in NYC instead of Miami. Think about it: Blanche=Samantha, Rose=Charlotte, Dorothy=Miranda (just because she's the only one who doesn't really mess around that much, but isn't always in a relationship), and Sophia=Carrie (because she makes the commentary on her friends).
Okay...I've gone too far. It's way too late at night to do this. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif [This message has been edited by AlphaChiGirl (edited August 14, 2001).] |
ANOTHER reminder!
Repeats of the FIRST part of the season are being shown on Sundays, back-to-back. Just a reminder that Carrie and the gang have 6 more episodes that will air in January! :D
|
SATC
Sarah Jessica Parker and dem look beautiful in the previews for the six new episodes. But I must admit, sometimes I think Sarah is beautiful, and other times she looks like a horse.
Charlette is very pretty. Miranda needs longer hair. And Kim Catrall looks good, but damn I remember her as "Lassie" in Porky's! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!LOL! QTE |
Is this bonus season in January going to be the last season?
I think that they're going to have to end the show pretty soon. The original concept of the show was four single and fabulous women who were all unattached and having a great time being that way. But, things are changing. Charlotte is married and Carrie soon will be. And, Miranda is expecting. If they continue on, the whole dynamic of the show will be different. Obviously, there won't be dating-dominated conversations that much any more, because two of them will be married and Miranda really won't have much time to date. The only character who hasn't changed is Samantha. And, who wants to see "Samantha in the City." I would get tired of seeing her giving a different man "the business" week after week. |
6 new episodes!
Just a reminder!
8pm Eastern this Sunday! :D |
Last night...
What did everyone think?
I thought Miranda's ex was still going to be in the picture in some shape or form. I'm glad to see that Samantha's fallen for someone...maybe peer pressure to settle down? Poor Charlotte. Carrie? Crazy outfits once again... |
Re: Last night...
Quote:
I'm not feeling Miranda back with Steve. He's too nebbishy. She needs a sharper-edged man. Sam settling down would take a lot of spice out of the show. Even with Richard. And I'm with you on that Roberto Cavalli outfit Carrie was fighting w/Aidan over. But I did like the Manolo Blahnik shoes that Pete chewed and how the girls were dressed over at Charlotte's apartment. Charlotte is very pretty -- reminds me of an Audrey Hepburn type. |
Personally, I was a little squimish (sp?) watching Miranda have sex with someone when she's pregnant by another man. I'm not being judgmental, I just know that I couldn't do it.
I think that it's cute for Samantha to finally like someone. I like Charlotte, too. But she rushed the marriage thing too much. She is stuck in fantasy land. |
I think Charlotte should leave Trey again. What was up with the cardboard baby? I thought that was very insensitive knowing how she felt. And I agree with you, Steeltrap. Her classy, conservative style does remind me of a young Hepburn...Carrie has convinced me that there are no fashion police in New York. You can wear what ever you want and get away with it like you stole something...I had tears in my eyes when Richard started playing "by your side" for Samantha. I really, think he's gonna knock down some walls with her but I don't think it will last...and Miranda hair looked. I'm glad she's letting it grow. I thought Steve would be around too...but she needs someone more like her....that's my synopsis of the episode
|
Trey Has Issues
I really enjoyed last night's episode. I loved the single women behavior stuff. That is sooooo true. For me anyway. Well, here are my comments:
Charlotte and Trey - Charlotte needs to realize that Trey has SERIOUS issues. Who in the hell gives a woman who has fertility problems that kind of "gift"? He's got a really warped sense of humor. I don't see their marriage lasting very long unless they work out their issues --Trey's mother being one of the bigger ones. Miranda - OK, I did not feel comfortable with Miranda sleeping with that guy. YAK!! But that's my own hang up. It might have been different if it weren't a one night kinda thing. I know we all have needs, but I guess I'm a "prude" when it comes to stuff like that. :o BTW, did he know she was pregnant? If not, that makes it worse IMHO. Samatha - I'm glad she is falling in love. She deserves it. I don't think this will change the show too much because this is all new for Samantha. She's gonna make mistakes. She's not a relationship person, so there's gotta be drama there somewhere. Carrie and Aiden - I was laughing HYSTERICALLY during their argument. Especially when she told Aiden to shut up. Ha, ha, ha!! That was too funny. I was feeling her on all his stuff being there. That was a bit much. She couldn't even get in the door. When she went through his bag that was in the bathroom and took out his rogaine, I thought he was going to just die. :o I guess men have their single men behaviors, too. Carrie is good, cuz I would've hurt that dog for a $300 pair of shoes. ;) Anyway, I don't think the premise of the show will change much because although they may all be in relationships (with the exception of Miranda), they still deal with relationship issues. Yes, it was dating/relationship issues and all that drama in the previous seasons. But, I think they can open up a whole can of worms with the relationship/marriage issues. I mean, Charlotte and Trey's problems alone will make for interesting TV. Oh ~ I didn't think her outfit was that bad. IMO, she looked great at the end of the show in the shirt. It was...different. |
This evening's SATC
So what did everyone think?
Glad to see Trey and Charlotte separate. That man is not right for her. But I cracked up at ol' over-the-top Anthony and Charlotte's spread in H&G. Did you notice her dress with the pink and green in it?;) Miranda should just relax and enjoy her pregnancy. Samantha still makes me laugh. I liked her blue and cream gear in her scene with Richard at the office. Carrie and Aidan, although they love each other, are quite different -- do you think they will make it? |
Hi Steeltrap.
I'm a bit of a traditionalist....I am very sad that Charlotte and Trey are having problems. I hope he will "see the light" and realize the error of his ways. I thought it was really sweet that he came back to do the H & G spread with her. I would hope that he would realize is mother is crazy when he goes back home. They both need some serious therapy. I think that would make a good story line. Carolotte & Trey with a wacky therapist! Samantha is a hoot. That girl is about to fall hard and I think Richard is going to drop her like a hot potato!! Carrie and Aidan...nope...I don't think they will make it. She's going to break his heart again and then regret it and whine about with her friends. Carrie in a couple (stable, etc.) does not bode well for the show. When I saw the previews from last week I thought she had truly met another man....not just a gay shoe salesman. How is she going to get mad when he was interested in talking to other men at that club?!?! Helloooooo He's GAY Carrie!! Sidebar....I saw an article in a mag (I think InStyle--one of my standing in line at the grocery store reads ;) ) that said Carrie's ring is 3 carats and costs $60,000!! This is why I hate TV. They set us up for unrealist expectations. No way Aiden is balling like that!! |
Quote:
I'm traditional, too. But there's just something about Trey which isn't right, even though I can't put a finger on it. Carrie shouldn't have gotten P.O.ed at Oliver talking to other menses. It was a gay bar, after all. Also, Carrie's ring is unrealistic. If she were to get a 3-carat ring, it should logically be from Mr. Big. He's the one with the scratch, not Aidan. But that's the beauty of TV. It's escapist fantasy.:p |
Quote:
I just started watching this show a few months ago. I don't know, Aidan is soooo boring compared to Carrie (opposites attract??). I liked Big, even though he was a big kid. I really wished they would've matured his character a bit and put the 2 of them together. I don't know... I'm also aware that I've missed quite a few episodes, also. And why, oh why, did they have to make one of them pregnant? |
Bunny & Trey
now that's a whole 'nother issue! I thought I was going to fall out during the show where Bunny was talking to Trey as he was taking a bath!! And he had the nerve to act like Charlotte had issues!! Pu-leeze!!
|
My take on the show is........it's still a good show but it's getting boring. The show is called Sex in the City. I have said this before it's not called let's get pregnant and married in the City.:D

She forgot to include the "to marry the right person" in her mission. She thought she needed to get married because she wanted to have children and it was "time" for her to get marry. What a big mistake! But a wacky therapist would be a good storyline. |
Aidan Finally Came to His Senses - Hallulejah!
I'm glad Aidan finally realized that when a woman wears your engagement ring around her neck and isn't trying to set a date, that she doesn't want to marry you.
Question: Do you think Miranda should keep her baby or give it up for adoption? I don't think Miranda really wants to be a mother and is ready to devote to caring for a child. |
