One girl from my sister's class in high school joined my chapter of OPhiA.
Other affiliations from HS that I know of: Alpha Omicron Pi, Phi Mu, Alpha Delta Pi, Kappa Delta, Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Kappa, Phi Kappa Sigma, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Phi Kappa Tau, Kappa Alpha Society, Theta Chi, Alpha Tau Omega, Kappa Kappa Psi, Tau Beta Sigma, Alpha Kappa Psi. |
My daughter's Page School Class had 68 kids. Of the 68, 4 female Pages pledged Pi Beta Phi at 4 different colleges across the country.
My D's chapter has pledged at least 3 House Pages and 2 Senate Pages within the last decade . Quote:

One of the girls from my HS varsity soccer team that was a year higher than me was an AOII at U of I. :)
Other than that..off the top of my head: 1 KKG (the bio lil sis of my AOII soccer sis), 2 Alpha Phi, 1 GFB, 1 Pi Phi |
I went to an all girls high school, so you would think I would know many girls who joined sororities, but there wasn't too many.
No AXiDs :( But I could think of 15 girls that I graduated with who joined sororities...there may be a few more... 1 Alpha Epsilon Phi at Iowa 1 Alpha Phi at SIUE 2 Alpha Omircon Pis (1 at NIU, one at Michigan State) 1 Chi Omega at Carthage 2 Delta Gammas (twins!) at NIU 1 Delta Phi Epsilon at UIC 1 Delta Zeta at NIU 1 Gamma Phi Beta at UW-Milwaukee 2 Kappa Alpha Thetas at UIUC 1 Pi Beta Phi at UIUC 1 Zeta Tau Alpha at Iowa Another girl I graduated with pledged Sigma Sigma Sigma at WIU, but then depledged. |
after i pledged, one of my heart sisters(temporary big sisters) was a girl who had been a senior when i was a freshman in h.s., and whose family had a home the street behind my family's home-i had not even realized that she was at fl. state. a girl one year behind me in h.s. pledged zeta at u of florida, and i found out when i saw her over christmas break-she was wearing her pledge pin(that is back in the days when pledgeships lasted an entire semester). her family lived down the street from mine.

most of my friends from High School went Greek. I found out a good number of them went FIJI after i joined. One guy in particular had been a really good friend of mine in elementary school and then switched schools and i hadn't talked to him till after high school graduation. Other big Fraternities and Sororities friends from my school joined are: SAE, LXA, Sigma Chi, Sig Ep, Sigma Nu, Phi Delt, DG, Pi Phi, Chi O, and tri delt

I know only one other girl from my high school class who went greek, and she's a Tri-Delt. However, there have been a BUNCH of girls from later classes who joined my sorority at various chapters. It's always nice to hear that someone else from my hometown is one of my sisters. :)

I only know of a few from my high school that joined GLOs. Some that I'll list didn't graduate with me, but maybe a year or two after I did:
3 went Alpha Phi at Arizona State 2 went Gamma Phi Beta at Arizona State 1 went Chi Omega at Arizona State 1 went Chi Omega at Univ. of Arizona atleast 1 or 2 went Delta Zeta at Arizona State 1 went Delta Sigma Phi at Arizona State I know one girl who went to my high school joined my sorority, OPA, at Northern Arizona. |
Sororities:
8 went Theta as far as I know with 7 pledging my chapter in particular. I'm unsure on the numbers for the rest but other girls pledged: Kappa Kappa Gamma Delta Delta Delta Alpha Omicron Pi Kappa Delta Sigma Kappa Chi Omega Alpha Chi Omega Delta Gamma Delta Zeta Phi Mu Alpha Gamma Delta Phi Sigma Rho Chi Alpha Nu (a local sorority somewhere) Fraternities: Pi Kappa Alpha Kappa Sigma Kappa Alpha Order Beta Theta Pi Sigma Chi Delta Tau Delta ( a big suprise here, not because of DTD, but because how this guy ever got initiated into anything is beyond my understanding) Facebook is a wonderful tool for finding out this information about people :) |
2 friends from HS-Sigma Kappas at URI
3 girls from a family I know-All Zetas at URI, which recently became national ZTA Girl i use to work with- Tri Delta at Syracuse another girl i went to HS with- Tri Delta at USC Another kid that I was friends with in HS is a Pike at URI. |
It's kind of interesting how I found that someone I had known in high school was a KD from another chapter. I was looking through the 1985 edition of the alumna directory for Georgia O'Keeffe, who was listed as Mrs. Alfred Stieglitz. That directory listed all alumnae together, not broken down by chapters, and another name jumped off the page at me, that of a girl who'd graduated the year before me. I think that if I could have chosen anyone from my school to be a sister, it would have been her, always very nice and good humored. Unfortunately, our paths still haven't crossed since high school. I once attended a national convention that was practically in her backyard, but for health reasons she wasn't able to attend, darn it.

I don't know anyone from high school that joined SigEp, but I know that a bunch of my friends joined GLOs.
KKPsi, FIJI, APO, AXO, and ATO just to name a few. I also found out around Christmas that one of my good friend's dad is a SigEp. It's pretty cool. He's always showing me stuff from the 60s when he pledged or stuff he picked up while he was an undergrad. Good stuff. |
In my 172 person graduating class, we have:
- a Sigma Nu at MIT - a Pi Kappa Phi at Texas Tech - a Zeta Tau Alpha at Baylor - a Kappa Delta at Baylor - a Kappa Delta at Texas and me... haha but that's all I know of! However, my brother went to high school with one of my ADPi sisters at A&M :) |
The majority of my hs friends joined dphie or aephi. Two joined Phi Mu and one joined SK. I did go visit another Chi Omega house in Florida and a girl that I was not too fond of is a Chi O... I'm sure they found something appealing in her :)

I don't know of anyone from my high school who joined Alpha Phi. I know of people from my school who went:
Alpha Delta Pi Alpha Xi Delta Alpha Tau Omega Sigma Chi Alpha Phi Omega Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Several girls who graduated from my husband's high school joined Alpha Phi at Texas A&M and Texas Tech. He knows of two guys who graduated from his high school and joined Pi Kappa Alpha. |
