Not at the Suburban level yet! ;)
But I drive a 2003 Chevy TrailBlazer! I LOVE IT! I named him Shadow...fitting to it's dark metallic gray color. :D Yeah...me and Shadow like to creep on the low! :p

I drive a 1998 Mazda 626 LX that I bought in 2001. I named her Destiny! :) I like the car. I have only had to do regular maintenance, brakes and a new battery. Other than that, It's been a good car. I am ready for something new though. Looking at the 2003 Nissan Altima as well as a few other cars.

Augystskyz 02-17-2003 02:59 PM

I own....or let me say drive (I didn't pay for it myself) a 1993 Lincoln Continental better known as the "mothership" as my friends call it. it looks like the type of car that would suit sombody's grandparents and here I am, a 19 year old behind the wheel. It's all good though :) It rides very nice but has given me the the worst electrical problems in the world. We've had to buy a new engine, new breaks, get the entire electrical system rewired, new axels, etc. In the end, we've spent so much money would could've just bought a new car. So beware.......

The car that I plan on buying as a little graduation incentive is a 2002 Toyota Solara. It's a two-door and very sporty car. Very cute a multi purpose. I heard it gets good miles and is just a well rounded car.

Dedicated1 02-17-2003 07:47 PM

I LUVVVVVVVVVVV my 1999 LEXUS LS 400 (Color Black) and it's paid for. I only have 52,000 miles on it. The best thing about owning a Lexus is when something starts to go wrong with the car, some type of light comes on to let you know exactly what the problem is. The car even tells you when one of your head or tail light's about to go out.

I Love My RSX

Hey Everybody,

I drive a 2002 Acura RSX. Let me just say that the car is fast!
I really like it, because not too many people have them and they are really sporty. I really love the interior and the Climate Control. No noisy air conditioning! I also have fierce crimson lighting on my dashboard and titanium trim.
I love it, love it, love it!

Just wanted to say I Luuuuvvv my Ford mustang convertible 5 speed. Baby, I have to catch myself sometimes on road trips and slow it down. Just cruisin .... on a Sunday afternoon..... ;) I have always wanted this car for about 5 years.

Now that I have it I think I want a truck now. :D

I've been trying to hunt for a missized SUV and for some reason I'm really attracted to the Kia Sorento. Anyone here have any experience with KIA?

feu_declipse 11-08-2003 05:14 PM

I have not had any personal experience with a Kia but I haven't heard too many good things about them other than the reduced price. Still, if they are in business that cannot be truly horrible. If you go to http://www.edmunds.com , you can usually find reviews of most car makes and models from previous or current owners. I hope that helps.

pretty edAKAted 11-08-2003 05:32 PM

The Kia Sorento is soooo cute, they are having a Kia sale here in Nashville "Buy one get a second one for $1.00" whatever but they look like the lexus truck the round ones. cute :)

Diva_01 11-08-2003 08:13 PM

I drive a tan 2000 toyota corolla....

No problems with her..., just replaced the brake pads once...

I want a pontiac bonneville sooooo bad. If someone can give me the lowdown on those, that would be great.
The other car is a toyota solara, really good car, but I don't like the new look, and I don't know about buying a used car...

desirethegreat1 11-17-2003 05:14 PM

What kind of wheels do you have???

Since we know what kinds of cell phones we have what kind of cars dou you have??

Me, I have a red, 2 door, 2001 Cavalier...I got it for HS graduation in 2002...yeah I know I a young buck!

Ideal08 11-17-2003 05:27 PM

I have a 2002 Kia Spectra. She's silver with 4 doors. Her name is Serenity, but I call her Wren for short. She's pretty cool, I like her. I like her a lot. :)

BLUTANG 11-17-2003 09:41 PM

My baby is a 1995 teal toyota corolla named "Coro" (no originality, i know). I've had her since HS and she's lasted through that, undergrad and now grad school with NO MAJOR REPAIRS. Hallelujiah! :D All that's needed is regular maintenence, I get great gas mileage and the ride is still smooth!

I'm looking at the new Solara or Altima for my next car, probably as a Christmas gift to myself NEXT year.

I have not heard anything negative about Kia at all. As a matter of fact...they have a high safety rating. I think some people just don't give them a chance.

Car makers in general are putting out better products. I'm sure you can go to any discussion group and find people who have had both positive and negative experiences with all cars.

I suggest you research and test drive for yourself, and remember...with any car...maintenance is the key in trouble free driving. Good luck with your search. :)

Clockwork08 11-18-2003 05:59 AM

I have a 2001 Toyota Rav4 and I love it! For a SUV it gets great gas milage. If you do get an SUV try to get one on a car frame and not a truck one, the one on car frames do not flip over as frequently as the ones on truck frames.

My 2nd vehicle is a Kia Sorento that I purchased back in December of 2002. I have had no major problems thus far.:p

I can relate to this, I have a 1997 BMW 328I, and like Lexus a light comes on to tell you when something is wrong, or just when a brake light is out. I only have about 55k miles on her, and she still looks quite good. :p

The Lord just recently blessed me with my dream car: A 2000 Toyota Solara with rims and a nice sound system. Praise the Lord, from who all blessings flow :)

Scary.... I wanted a 2000 Altima SE but ended up getting a 1999 Mazda 626.

How did you like your 626? Any problems?

Now that's funny! Any particular reason why you didn't get the Altima? I love it so far. My insurance is lower, it shifts smoother, rides better and has less wind noise when the windows are open. It has less body noise also. It was close to 70 here yesterday, so the sunroof was tested out!!! It was wonderful!

My Mazda was generally good to me for 2-1/2 years. When she needed repairs, it was verrrrrry expensive. Also, insurance for the 626 tends to be high. Apparently, it's in the same insurance category as a Benz! Be careful with the transmission-it's a Ford. Enough said. Ford owns Mazda, Jaguar, Volvo and Lincoln-Mercury. Plus, my car always shifted hard between 0-15 mph, and if you have to stop suddenly or take your foot off the gas quickly,it jerks as it downshifts. I have heard the same thing from other 626 owners, so it's wasn't just my car. My car also had a lot of miscellaneous noise that no one could ever find the source too. It was just a noisy car.

The 626 loves the highway, but guzzles gas in a lot of stop/start driving.

Despite my issues with it, overall it's a good car. Best wishes with it.

I could not find an SE w/ the options that I wanted in the span of time that I had (my Dad's car died on me, so I need to get something pretty fast)

Got a good deal on the 626 and it's growing on me.

Yes, I noticed the wind noise, sucks.

I have been on a few Mazda sites for info, so I am keeping an eye on the transmission (getting a Tranny cooler installed soon). I wish I had known the trans. was a Ford product. I had incorrectly assumed that the car was all Mazda. Apparently, only the V6 version is all Mazda.

But, so far so good. TY, and have fun in the Altima.
