I only like 3 of her songs.

My friend experienced the same thing. She lives in the Chicago area and she told me that she went to 4 stores to get the CD and they were gone. A employee told her that Circuit City would have it the Saturday after the CD was released.

I had no problem getting mine so it just amazed me that she said she basically couldn't find one anywhere!

Ashlee was awarded the "best week ever" on the VH-1 show and they were talking about her album. It was pretty funny, this one guy was talking about how her song titles are most likely "Look, I Can Sing Too," "Mom, why don't you notice me?" and "I didn't get dinner" I would prob. be jealous of my sister too if I were Ashlee.

Her album debuted at # 1 on the Billboard chart. Not even Jessica's been able to do that.

I'd hit it.

I'll admit that I watch the show faithfully and I'm hooked on "Autobiography".

Still, it's amazing that she only got hooked up with a vocal/speaking coach after the fact that she got callouses on her nodes.

i really like ashlee- normally i'm just not all the pop crap- jessica drives me crazy- but i LOVE ashlee's cd its really good (the lyrics are a little ehh but its put together well and she co-wrote every song- which is more we can say for otehr "artists") call me crazy

Don't get me wrong, I'd rail her, but she's a cross between Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch, and I'd only take Michelle out of the two.

Her and Jessica's parents are either have silver spoons shoved up their asses or just BAD parents.

It's weird to see her guitarist, Braxton on TV. He used to be a scrawny little kid and now he's a semi-rockstar. Too bad he's too young for me. ;)

I bought the CD and really like it. But it does really bug me how she tries soooo hard to not be like Jessica. It wasn't a surprise to see her boyfriend break up with her, you could tell he was not into her and completly annoyed by her, it's like how could she NOT see it??

She needs to get over this whole "I'm not my sister" thing. I get it already, you're different. Putting out "Shadow" as a single won't help her distance herself from Jessica. I think "La La" would have been a better choice. It also bugs me how she acts like a lunatic when she performs live...with the wild hand gestures and weird dancing.

i know, right? i was watching one of many ashlee marathons yesterday, and i noticed that. i wondered if her intention was to look like courtney love cracked out.....she's not on drugs (i assume), so i don't know why she twitches on stage like she is. and i couldn't believe how nastay she was to her dad....i realize dad's are annoying, but GEEZ. rudeness!

THANK GOD it's over. Hopefully MTV won't do a second season. I can't stand flipping through the channels and hearing her voice...

her hair, her voice, gawd her clothing styles is scary enough........she annoys me to know end. I like jessica ....jessica is a real girly girl and has a great voice...she can give ashlee a few tips on being a real girl......ashlee is just not pretty at all...i smell the nepotism bug once again.

OK, this thread needs to be resurrected because I know a lot of y'all caught Ashlee's embarassing moment on SNL last night!

Let's face it though, Ashlee's not the only perfomer out there who does Memorex performances.

In the future, don't blame the band or anyone else. At least the band had the decency to stick around, remain on stage, and play instead of dancing like y'all were at a hoedown.

That was such a weird moment. I didn't understand why they couldn't just stop and start playing the right song. Her excuse at the end of the show and the "hoedown" dancing was so lame.

They probably couldn't get the music cued in time. I think she was supposed to sing the song "Shadow", and if I remember correctly the intro's way different from "Pieces of Me".

But then again she was probably too nervous and was in the process of shatting her pants and that's why she couldn't do her song.

she has little to no talent. i've felt that way since she first appeared with her sister.

she's riding off of jessica. if she wasn't a simpson, she never would have had an album or a tv show.

As much as Ashlee is a dorkus maximus for doing this, I think SNL is just as much at fault. They're the ones who booked her and I'm sure were aware that she would be lip-syncing. Their standards of quality for musical guests have gone into the toilet.

Yeah, she does not sound so good live. I remember hearing her on either the Ryan Seacrest Show or the MTV Video Awards Pre-Show (can't remember which one) and I was thinking to myself, "Wow...she sucks."
She's sings from her throat instead of her diaphragm (I use to do professional singing so I pick up on these things quicker) and it would make me cringe just listening to her because I knew the strain she was putting on her vocal cords. What do you know? While watching the Ashlee Simpson show, she had to go to the doctor because she had damaged her vocal cords so badly!

Is that why she's so "breathy"? Both she and Jessica are like that, a lot of breath, not so much sound. But I like Jess better than Ashlee. Pieces just seems so whiney to me. IDK.

Yes. They both sing from their throats. The difference being that Jessica can actually sing. :)

Actually, Jessica doesn't always sing from her throat...just went she hits those high notes which is even worse for your voice. You can hear the strain in her voice in "Angels". It's almost painful to listen to.

If she keeps doing that, she won't have a voice in another 10 years.

and did it look to anyone else like they guitar players were laughing at her/the situation??? it looks like they want to laugh/crack a smile so bad, but they don't. they were professional, she was not. i agree with the statement that if she was't jessica's sister, no one would give her the time of day.

Well if you ask me---she sucks. And I think it's funny. Because she has NO talent anyway.

So supposedly her voice was too shot so she had to use the track (of course that is just one of MANY of her explanations... :rolleyes: ) so how is it that in a mere 1.5 days her voice would magically be back to "normal" enough to really sing? The were talking about it last night during the entertainment portion of the channel 4 news in Washington at 11 last night and the guy anchor was hating on Asslee hard-core. I mean bad. He was totally, "She sucks, she can't sing. That's not music." I couldn't stop laughing. He was spouting off and they had to end the show and he kept talking. It was great.
