Update us already!!! |
Need update soon......
Yeah for the rush thread addicts...
Looking for another vein so I can have my fix |
Monday!
Okay people, here's the deal:
I didn't get a call today. BUT, on my way out of a lecture, XYZ's recriutment director caught me and asked me to come by the house tomorrow night @ 7:30. I have no clue what they could want and she didn't say what they would be doing. So I'm going to go, and we'll see what happens. Pray for me. Always, JocelynC |
I think that is a good sign
Got all crossables crossed! I think in this case no news is good news and hell most people would not have you come to the house only to get kicked to the curb. IMO that would be WRONG!
Awww.....good luck tomorrow I hope it works out!
I've been reading your thread, and I want to add my Good Luck wishes to the rest of the bunch.
I would say that an invitation to stop by is better than no contact at all. Whether you become a sister or not, you've probably made some good friends along the way! Erica |
I think that is wonderful! Good luck with everything and keep that smile on your face! I don't even have to see you to know that you're grinning from ear to ear. I think your attitude towards this entire experience has been very refreshing and I, again, wish you the best of luck tomorrow night. :D
JocelynC- I love you! Calm down! I honestly think that everything will work out the way God has planned for it to! Take it easy for the night/tomorrow and focus on school and the love of those around you (your Kappa Phi sisters included ;)). Good luck tomorrow!
Jocelyn, I wouldn't worry. I can't see them inviting you to the house for nothing but good reasons. I'm sure everything will work out. Let us know how everything goes.
It sounds like it is going to be good news...I am keeping everything crossed for you! :)

Sounds promising to me! Good luck!!:)
It seems to me that an invitation is a good sign. If they weren't considering you, I can't see them wanting to invite you back. :)
That seems like a good sign. GOOD LUCK we are all pulling for you.
I totally agree with everyone. An invite back to the house is a REALLY good thing!!! Good luck, I know the waiting is hard, but I'm sure that everything will turn out GREAT!!!
Good luck! :D
Best of luck for you tomorrow...I'm keeping my fingers, toes, and everything else crossed for you and can't wait to hear how it went! :)
Best of luck!
Ditto on what everyone else has posted!
Good Luck! |
Good luck Jocelyn!

Little Update!
Hey all: I've just been informed that tonight will be another activity night for the PNMs to get to know more sisters. I'm still not sure exactly what we'll be doing, but I'm sure it will be fun. I'm going over to the house @ 7, so I'll update later on after I return. Gotta run, Keep praying, JocelynC :) |
fingers crossed...
Have fun and good luck!
phooey!!!!
I thought I was going to peep this morning and see your good news. Sending good vibes your way. The suspense is killing me though. |
Good Luck!!
I hope Jocelyn is having a great time... I can't wait to see how it went! Let us know!
Good Luck! Sending more good vibes your way.:)
i hope you had fun tonight!
I hope you are having an awesome time this evening at the house. I cannot wait to find out how things went!!!!!!!
For all of you anxiously awaiting Jocelyn's news about this evening check out the "Update" thread under the Rush forum!
Wow this was 2 years ago!
When I went to post the final post, I accidentally made a WHOLE new thread (oops)... Here's the other part of my rush thread where I made the announcent that I got a bid. Just bumping it because I feel nostalgic. |
Jocelyn, I actually remember when all this was going on with you! I've sure been here a long time! It's hard to remember a time when you weren't a Tri Sig, isn't it???
Seeing all of the retro threads made me start thinking about my own recruitment experience. Note: I had a different username back then (JocelynC).
Epilogue: I was a second semester sophomore when I got a bid. I was pretty much "Super Sigma" and was voted Most Dedicated New Member. My class was initiated in the fall. I was instantly involved and in my 2.5 years as an active sister, I served on tons of chapter committees (can't even count), held every Honor Council position (including head chairwoman), sat on Panhellenic Judicial Board, and held several positions (incl. RPM, Awards, Member At Large, and Triangle correspondent). I graduated this past December and I've signed up to volunteer at my collegiate chapter's recruitment this fall. I've also applied to fill an open national volunteer position on the Triangle staff this fall. |
Further update:
Since then, I've gone to Convention, our first EVER Volunteer Summit, and taken on an awesome Regional Volunteer position. My alumnae life has been ridiculously awesome and I seriously can't imagine how my life would be if my chapter hadn't given me a chance on that day almost 8 years ago. |
Thanks for the memories, KSUViolet -- so often we hear from PNMs only during recruitment and perhaps through initiation. You've stuck with GC (and with Tri Sigma as well).
I just wanted to update everyone and let them know that my bid day was TEN YEARS AGO this year and that I will celebrate 10 years initiated in September! Two Conventions and 6 years as an alumna volunteer later, I still love Sigma as much as I did that day I got that envelope as a giddy 19-year-old.
Wow, posting in pink really IS your signature ;)
I also celebrated 10 years in 2014, and it's such a crazy feeling knowing it's been that long. Getting my bid, new member meetings, initiation… it all seems like it happened just yesterday. Here's to another 10! |
Congrats on 10 years! I celebrated 30 this spring. And I love Alpha Gam far more now than I did then. I know it now- I understand it on a much deeper level now.
I loved this! Great thread and congrats on 10 years!
