Remember that episode of Sex and the City when Samantha wants that Hermes Birkin bag? So she uses Lucy Liu's name to get on the list and get a bag fast. Then she calls the PR rep for Hermes and yells at them because she just saw "a nobody in a leisure suit carrying one."

I have the Guess bag with the "G"s on it. I bought it because I needed a small bag to take out with me at night and I didn't feel like paying $150. I'm not trying to pass it off as a bad Coach knockoff. I just liked the style.

I do think the hot pink Coach bags are adorable, but I already have a similar bag from Express.

i don't understand the connection between this and xok85xo saying that sometimes she wears scrubby clothes while carrying her bag. can you explain it to me?

Does anyone know of a way (besides ebay) to find a particular coach wallet. I want the red on red small (least expensive) wallet to go with my purse but I can't find it anywhere. It's my way of patting myself on my back for all the hard work I do day after day. :D

Go to their store. They'll order just about anything for you.

www.Coach.com

While you are at it, will you please pat me on the back, too? In black please. :)

They don't have it in the store and they don't have it online. :( I guess I'm just SOL because I waited too long because I couldn't afford it before. Oh well - you win some and you lose some, such is life.

They just know how snooty and rich you are and don't want to help because they have to work for their money.

And I don't! FUCK OFF ASSWIPE! I work over 60 hours a week and make a meager $12/hour - that's not even $25K/year! I don't appreciate your comments at all - I don't think anyone does - and would like for you to stop immediately.

Um, the lady on Sex and the city was wearing scrubby clothes anc carrying a designer bag. What's not to understand? I am saying that many people with the real designer bags do dress down as well....like xok85xo and her Burberry bag.

If you would stop being a spaz you would have known that my very first post about peeing in the bags was a joke. But you didn't get it because you were busy being a spaz. Instead you took it on yourself to try and argue with me, and made yourself look slow in the process.

Next time if you feel like someone is making a remark and you want it clarified, ask. Next time, decide whether a comment was even made towards you.

To quote my mother "Honey you ain't seen nothing yet!" I don't appreciate the comments that you make, not only to myself, but also to the many others that post here on GC. You just really pissed me off today and today was not the day to do that! And yes, I know that I have a foul mouth and I know how to use it. If you don't like it, that's fine. I don't like you and that's just life.

Awe Kate, I didn't mean to offend ya. I just see these teeny-boppers walking around the mall in pajamas (which I guess is the latest fashion trend) carrying $200+ purses (supposedly). If you can afford the purse, buy a freakin' outfit to go with it (not pajamas) ;)

There's a certain member of XYZ at my school who has tons of Louis stuff - it's either real or a great fake, but anyway, the other day I was walking behind her on the way to Subway and we passed one of the fine women who dwell at Marquette busstops, who was also all decked out in her "Louis" shoes, jacket (wtf?) and cell phone cover. The look on the XYZ's face was priceless.

I really like the new pink sig stuff from Coach, and I'm loving on the new light pink wallet with hot pink trim - so cute! Maybe I can find a nice sugar daddy to buy it for me. :p

This is kind of the style or was the style in fall at campus. Girls wearing ratty pj pants, tennis shoes, sorority shirt, and a hat - not a lot of makeup....and a Louis Vuitton. It was like the thing....
but it would be much worse to see a 13 yr old carrying around one of those.

Which reminds me of a Sex and the City episdoe ;) .... when Sam was so happy about being older and indepent to be who and to be with who ever she wanted. And then she threw a party for a clients daughter who was having sex and giving random head at like 14?

Okay, nothing to do with purses.....I just thought I'd bring up another SATC episode.

KillarneyRose 03-01-2004 02:29 PM

Wow, I bet y'all have been waiting with baited breath to see if I buy the handbag or not, right?? Okay, maybe not :D

I was wandering through the Post Exchange at my friendly neighborhood Army base this morning and happened upon the Coach display. Normally, they just have older stuff there but I looked anyway and there it was, sitting upon the highest shelf like the star on a Christmas tree ( ) was MY HANDBAG!!! And instead of the $278.00 plus 5% tax it would have cost at Nordstrom, it was priced at $222.00 and no tax! :D

I figured that this was a sign from God or, at the very least, the Department of Defense that I was meant to have this bag and so I swooped in and grabbed it before I could think of a reason NOT to buy it.

I just love happy endings, don't you?? lol :)

that might possibly be the most beautiful story I have ever heard. it brings a tear to my eye when two tings that were meant to be together are... ;)

DZGirl 03-01-2004 02:39 PM

KR, that just shows it was meant to be! :D I love when things like that happen.

AlphaPhiBubbles 03-01-2004 05:51 PM

Very excited about your new baby (we are lame and call all our purses babies)

I get really annoyed with people who ask if my Dooney + Bourke IT bag (the multicolored one with DB's on it) is fake...especially cuz they think its a fake Louis...I'm sorry it looks nothing like Louis. And I'm pissed cuz when I got my purse I hadn't seen it ANYWHERE and now it's everywhere and I'm bummed cuz I thought I was being original :(

Wine&SilverBlue 11-11-2004 01:07 AM

KillarneyRose, which bag was it? (the link to the coach site doesnt work --- maybe its an older style?)

I'm a big Coach fan.. I'm curious ;)

This bag is almost exactly like it, except my trim is regular leather, not suede.

Uhm.....

60 hours per week x $12 per hour = $720 per week

$720 per week x 52 weeks in a year = $37,440

$37,440 ≠ $25,000

I was never a brilliant math student, but did I miss something?

She might be salaried instead of hourly in which case the poor thing can work from dawn 'til the cows come home and her paycheck remains the same. :(

Hi SPAMMER,

If your purses are authentic, then why does the site agreement state that "Although our products are comparable in style and quality to the original name brands, we do not represent them to be original, nor do we represent that they are exact copies"?

All products on this site are intended for novelty and entertainment purposes only. The products are intended for theatrical purposes. We are in no way affiliated with any of the authentic manufacturers. To purchase authentic products, visit their respective websites or authorized retailers.

Also, it's really cool that your cite is using eluxury's pictures. I'm sure they appreciate that. I'll have to email them to make sure they've been able to appreciate your lovely site.

Question: How can you tell a real Louis Vuitton from a fake one (aside from the obvious knock offs with Ps & Rs, etc on them)?

CarolinaCutie 09-03-2005 07:33 PM

My Poupette is an excellent resource, as is this site regarding purchasing Vuitton on E-bay http://omgoddess.ms11.net/mepage . Hope this helps!
