I made it again! Kudos to all of us!

I also made it last Spring with 4 A's and 1 B!! I just missed the 4.0, but I'm still happy!!

I made a 4.165 last term. I got really worked up about that one.

Here at W&L we have this f-ed up system. Dean's list, is, I think a 3.4 or something... Then we have Honor Roll which is a 3.7 or above. I've never not made Honor Roll.

I'm really shooting for a 4.0 or above this term; I think I can do it again.

If you take classes that are worth more than 3 credit hours, and get A's in them, it's possible.

That's pretty cracked out. Say you took a 5 credit chem class and got an A, and a 3 credit lit class and got an A.

5 x 4 = 20 pts for chem
3 x 4 = 12 pts for lit

32 pts / 8 credits = 4.0 GPA

The way you get above a 4.0 is if your school does some sort of weighted grade sytem,, like alloting a 4.5 or a 5 for an A in an honors seminar.

What a load of horse shit. You would think schools would fight grade inflation, not encourage it.

Actually, it's not the credits thing at W&L.

We have a plus and minus system at W&L. If you get an A+ it's a 4.333. Neat eh?

It's pretty damn hard to get an A+ though. Actually for most professors it's impossible. However they do like to rock the A-s.

And just to nip this in the bud, please don't anyone try to tell me about W&L grade inflation. There is NONE here.

We had a plus/minus system at my undergrad school also, but we couldn't earn an A+. It stopped at A, which of course was a 4.0. Boooo!

my dad said that i could be a "sorority girl" another semester...he has this idea that if you are in a sorority, then your grades drop. hahaha, its been 2 years with my gpa rising each semester...crazy parents!

Deans list here too!! Had a 3.8 this semester. This is my 3rd time getting on the deans list. I am trying really hard to graduate with honors...only 2 more semesters to go!!

I got a 3.86 this semester and made dean's list again :)

(p.s. at my school an A+ is a 4.0 and you can't get above a 4.0 for anything..)

I made Dean's list for the 1st time here! You need a 3.5 to get Dean's list at my school and I got a 3.61! YAY!

I got a 4.0, how, don't ask me, but I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made President's List (3.8+) for the 3rd consecutive semester! Woo woo!

i'm not really sure if grad students have a dean's list at my school - but i got a 3.75 this semester, so if they do, i prolly did.

I made honor roll again... 4.0 baby! Bringing my cumulative to 3.924!

Deans List here with a 4.0 in my last semester of classes ( i student teach next semester so I do that all day every day instead of class)

I know I'm late but, I made the Deans list with a 4.0. It was a great feeling!

I just BARELY missed it... I had a 3.482... Such a close call...

I had dean's list the semester before though... I plan on getting back on it this semester :)

I made the deans list for the second time. I am not sure if they send out letters but on my transcripts it says Deans list. I am happy about my 3.75 which brings me up to a 3.0 so I can now go to grad school as long as I keep up my grades this semster.

Dean's list every semester in college...even 2nd semester when I got a C+ in math...
It's too bad that everytime you get anything less than an A it brings your GPA down so much, but when you get straight A's it hardly ever brings u up more than a 0.01

I just recieved the letter yesterday. My first and last time making it. :cool: :o I didn't even bother viewing my grades from last semester because I thought I did awful. I never made really bad grades though, I would almost always miss it by a few points.

I made it on the list.

But I'm not going to get the letter until the end of this semester :rolleyes:

We don't have a Dean's List. We have Honour Roll and the President's List. I made honour roll but not the president's list. You need a 4.0 for President's list. It's 3.5 for honour roll.

To get on the Dean's list here, you need a 3.5 semester GPA

This semester, I'm on the deans list with a 3.7 semester GPA, but I won't get my letter until probably the end of May or middle of June.

I made Dean's List for Spring 2005 with a 3.7 :)

I also made the Dean's List for this past Spring semester....even though I thought I had failed a class!

I missed out this time, but I bought most of my text books so I can study over the summer and come back full force next semester. If I get 2 Bs and the rest As, I'll make it. I was really disappointed that I fell short this semester, but I got high enough to joing the honor society of my choice, so I'm okay.

Yup, Fall '04 and Spring '05. Yay! Survived pledge semester without a drop in GPA--hard stuff, lots of time!

I got the grades for the Dean's list, but I still haven't gotten my letter that said I made it!! URGGH!
