Funny the things that happen... Today I was in a staff development meeting and one of my fellow librarians was wearing a silver crescent moon pin on her jacket. Of course, I commented on it, and she said "Oh, I'll give it to you!"" And she did!!! It is sooo cute - the moon has a smile on his face. It sounded so wonderful to say "That's MY sorority emblem!!"

I have always loved moons and stars, and I guess the crescent moon got me right from the start of my search.

Early dinner or even a late lunch sounds good; don't wanna tie it up any more than we hafta on Lizz's special day. Knowing how initiations go, they almost always run long (mine took close to five hours and it was well past midnight before the celebrations could begin in earnest!) PM or e-mail me when the dates are firmed up.

It sounds great! Maybe late lunch would be good. It sort of depends when Cele is getting in. All I know for sure right now is that it will be March 18 and that is a Thursday. I will be on spring break that week so I get back from Vegas on Wed. and get initiated on Thurs!!

Hey, any idea about what time initiation will be on 18 March -- I had heard it was 7pm which means I will have to spend the night and leave the next day. Another sister on the Badge Task Force (Helen -- Membership Vp!) said I could bunk at her place -- she is apparently close to the airport which is good since I will want to leave early the next day...have yet to see hubby's flying schedule -- my luck he will be flying and I will have to forma my boys out to friends for the night....ack! But I will be there come heck or high water Lizz!!!

Cool! I got formally pinned at the Founder's Day celebration and it was so cool!

I am flying into Dallas on Thursday afternoon and Lizz (Tinydancer) and her sponsor -- one of our Gamma Phi Beta 50-year members -- will get me at the airport -- then we will have dinner together and then TINYDANCER GETS INITIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wahoo!:D :D :D

And I am soooo excited! It's only a week away now! I have my dress, I've ordered a killer badge and I still can't believe it's really happening!! PLUS I'll have the Lt. Colonel with me.

Lizz -- you do know that your badge does not come in time for initiation, right? I will bring an extra in case the collegiate chapter does not have enough extras to spare -- I have two that I obtained, as a member of the badge task force....

Oh yes, I know I won't get my badge for a while. My sponsor is going to let me use hers for initiation. I wish I could figure out how to post a picture. My badge has a pearl Phi with diamond points! I told ya I was going to shoot the works!!;)
