LOL... I was watching some sort of entertainment show and they did computer generated alternatives to that hideous comb-over, and they said that they would ask him to pick one, but I don't know what happened with that. He looked better in all the alternatives.

Neosoulchild 02-12-2004 10:13 PM

Did anyone see Kwame when he was ironing his shirt? That man is fine:D :D :D :D

OMAROSA IS STILL IN IT!!!!

Tonight's (2/12) ep was probably THE most dramatic, fight-to-the-finish ep I have seen to date. I will give you a very brief lowdown.

Tonight's ep involved the teams offering ideas to 5 celebrities to be auctioned at Sotheby's, all proceeds of which will go to charity. The team that gets the highest combined bid total wins.

The ideas and creativity flowed, and the auction was tit for tat. Even I could not predict the actual outcome, but it was VERY exciting. The result: Versacorp $40K, Protege $35K, which meant Omarosa as project manager would have to face Mr. Trump with her colleagues.

BTW, no reward for the winning team tonight, b/c Mr. Trump rightly said that giving back to your community serves as it own reward. How true, how true.

Anyway, most of the boardroom discussion centered around Omarosa, Jessie, and Heidi. The clencher was that Omarosa said that Heidi had no class, and Heidi was agreeing until Mr. Trump got offended and said why would you let anyone disrespect you like that? Mr. Trump got stuck on this area for a good three minutes until he asked O. to pick the two weakest links, which were, you guessed it, Heidi and Jessie. (note: I am pretty sure that Kwame and Troy are no longer phased at going to the boardroom, having had to meet Mr. Trump EVERY SINGLE TIME. I think the shock wore off at least two shows ago).

At this point I was SO sure that O. was going to get booted, I was shouting, "DARN, DARN, DARN!!!" during the entire commercial break.

But the silver bullet came after the show came back on: Donald actually called out Jessie for not standing up to O. sooner and letting O. dog her out constantly. Because she was a weakling that didn't stand up for herself when the situation demanded it, she was FIRED!!

I was literally lying on the floor clutching my chest in relief, sighing, "Be still, my beating heart". That was a VERY close one, even for me.

Note: O. better watch herself in the upcoming weeks, or she is gonna get that infamous Sam look on her face (j/k, O is my girl FO' REAL!!)

There's gon' be some hot mess up in heah in the upcoming weeks, so STAY TUNED!

abaici 02-13-2004 02:29 AM

I like Omarosa too. Althought her compliment was backhanded...I didn't think she was finished. Trump is an instigator. They would have won if it wasn't for that pesky teenager!

Omarosa's gone

Well, I can't watch The Apprentice anymore since she's gone. Although I was like "OH SNIZZLE!" when she busted up in the meeting while Donald and 'nem (:D) were discussing who should leave.

I think it was that move plus the tears that made him choose her.

Although I probably would have chose Heidi and Troy though.

Neosoulchild 03-04-2004 11:20 PM

Okay, so I finally got to see this show again. I must say that miss Heidi does not have class just like Omorosa said. All that cursing was terrible, especially in the art gallery with patrons standing around. Omoroas didn't have to sit to eat, and I have missed some shows so I don't know about her excuses, but I think Heidi should have been the one to go. I have yet to see her do something. At least Omorosa sold a piece of art, but oh well. I can't wait until next week's episode, hopefully I won't have to be in the library all night.

Dionysus 03-04-2004 11:33 PM

I'm glad she's gone. She's an embarrassment to black women everywhere. Maybe I could've tolerated her a little better if she didn't act so superior. She was no more superior than anyone else on that show. Yeah Heidi is very classless, but that won't be reflected on her race, but Omarosa's nonsense will.

Believe it or not, you would've made a grave mistake by having Troy in the boardroom; I have been watching him over the past few weeks and he has been PHEE-NOMINAL!! The one major asset I have seen in him is that he has great charisma and business saavy. The beauty of it is he hides it well under a presumably "country bumpkin" facade while consistently hitting home runs for his team.

I think Troy should relocate to Vegas and be a professional poker player b/c he would clean house every night, and that's fo' real. I would say that his theme song would be Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler, b/c he personifies the lyrics; he knows when to hold, when to fold, (and yall know the rest). He keeps a good poker face and I forsee great things coming from him in the upcoming weeks.

I predict the top 3 finalists will be:

Troy, Amy, Bill

With the 2 wildcard slots for the top 5 finalists being Nick and Katrina.

Omarosa, OTOH, I have had growing disappointment with over these last few weeks. I think her performance tanked as of/after the 2/12 episode. Her flaws were beginning to stand out more and more and when she finally got axed by The Donald tonight, I was not surprised. Like Sam, The Donald finally gave her enough rope to hang herself with. And sho' nuff, she played herself, got emotional at the most inappropriate time, set herself up, and got fired.

O well, Omarosa. It was good having you around while it lasted.

BTW, nice parting shot of her cleavage during the closing credits :p

SkeeWee14 03-05-2004 02:29 PM

LOL

I knew that O would be out the door this week. I believe it was Tom Joyner or someone from his morning show who said that Donald Trump wouldn't fire her during Black History Month, but as soon as the month is over she would be gone. Sure enough that is what happened. Cracked me up. I have to say that Kwame annoys me. Aside from the fact that he looks like a Toad-e Frog (as my baby used to say), I felt that he should have "embraced" Omarosa more (being a brother and all) and told her that she needed to work on the attitude. Instead he clowned her behind her back just like the rest of them. Punk!

Say so! Say so! Wellllllllllllllllllllllllll(beating my tamberine):D

Honeykiss1974 03-10-2004 04:37 PM

Did anyone watch Omarosa on The View? I read that she was recently on there talking about the show. On another message board someone mention that Omarosa talked about "the pot calling the kettle black" incident and how in reality she was called the N-word  but it was "creatively edited" to instead show her getting upset over some small issue.

I didn't watch it, so this is second hand info.

Neosoulchild 03-10-2004 06:29 PM

I saw her on The View this morning, and I will have to say that I think she is lying. On The View, she claimed she was responding to that woman calling her the "N-word." I remember the incident and Omarosa said something like ~what did you just say about black.~ So I don't believe her.

But I did see her on BET Tonight and she was talking about doing speaking engagements, and that she has her own line of business suit attire. I must say I am impressed, but those skirts were always a little too short for me.

Well, maybe Kwame is just a manifest of the fact that many of us can't be supportive of each other.

stardusttwin 03-11-2004 02:42 AM

Besides being handsome, Kwame hasn't impressed me yet. I'm not surprised that he dogged Omorosa out - he got rid of the strongest competition but in my opinion now that the strongest link on that team has been eliminated they are all in jeopardy of being in that board room again. If its Troy vs Kwame, I think Kwame will lose.

It'll be funny to see if Kwame's the one that gets kicked off tomorrow (the preview shows Carolyn saying you haven't done anything to impress me yet) - although I'm secretly hoping its Katrina...she's done nothing but complain about O, now that she's gone lets see if K and the rest of the witches can all back up their talk.

Nubian 03-11-2004 09:13 PM

I am all for supporting my people, but I can't support ignorance. I had heard about Omarosa's claim that she had been called the N word on the show, and it had been edited out. I almost started to sympathize with her until a report today on Access Hollywood, in which EVERYONE associated with the show denies it ever happening! What kind of person lies about something like that??? There are soooooooooooooooooo many instances of REAL racism. I go to work everyday as the one of the only black women (in a field dominated by men), and I DEAL with it all the time...so it ticks me off when somebody cries wolf over something so serious.

Neosoulchild 03-11-2004 11:14 PM

Thank God, I was so sick of Heidi. Personally I don't think anyone on that team should win. Kwame has yet to show me anything as well as Troy.

Gyrl7 03-12-2004 05:45 PM

I can't wait to see Kwame the house receptionist get the boot next.

All he does is answer the phone and iron his shirts.....he irks me with his coat tail riding behind.....

Oohhh sorry people, it aint like he owe me child support or anythang........LOL

stardusttwin 03-12-2004 07:42 PM

I too am HIGHLY disappointed in the stance Omarossa is taking lately...its not cute. So I'll cut Kwame a tenny tiny bit of slack-maybe he saw other things behind the scenes that made him chose her for the boardroom last week. But I agree with Gyrl7, Kwame has done nothing to set himself apart yet.

That said, I'm not surprised that Heidi was booted but I thought she would be around to milk her mom sickness a little bit longer. I nursed a family member through chemo, w/the exception of 9/11 a cigarette has not touched my lips since (9 years now minus that long walk home), watching her chain smoke while being so concerned about her mom grated a nerve.

I was hoping they would win because I REALLY want Katrina to go home. She does nothing but whine and complain about what others are doing and has been riding on coattails this whole time. Amy on the other hand is really setting herself apart-I didn't like her before but I'm starting to respect her.

Is anyone ready to make predictions on who will win or do you want to wait??

I will go with Amy. I don't remember whose idea it was to do the advertising, but she did take it upon herself to go get advertisements from companies they had already formed relationships with (smart move).

Well if I was Donald Trump and the network I would cover it up also if it wasn't addressed earlier. Lets keep in mind Omarosa is smart as heck and I don't think she would out her career in jeopardy. We know what type of world we live in and I've worked with one of the biggest Commercial Real Estate firms in the country (Donald Trump level) and the atmosphere was very racist. I'm in marketing and we will cover up a lot to make the company look good.

Darkcoco 03-15-2004 04:16 PM

I feel you STardusttwin, Omarosa seemed a little out of control on the talk show circuit, but as Reds6 said I am sure Donald Trump has a good marketing and PR team and that is good at cover ups and I have to believe that she is smarter than that and knows full well what the implications of slanger are.

Ex-'Apprentice' Star Stands by Race Claim
Fri Mar 19, 8:08 AM ET

By NEKESA MUMBI MOODY, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - Fired "Apprentice" Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth — hated by some of her fellow cast members — got plenty of love Thursday at Ebony magazine's awards luncheon.

Manigault-Stallworth, a guest, received hugs, kisses and requests for photos at the fifth annual event, which honors outstanding women in marketing and communications.

Among the honorees were CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien, Fox Sports reporter Pam Oliver, BET Nightly News anchor Jacque Reid and television producer Suzanne de Passe.

Manigault-Stallworth, who was "fired" on March 4, was the most polarizing of the 16-member cast, frequently arguing with some of the other women on the NBC reality show, in which contestants vie for real estate mogul Donald Trump's favor and "the dream job of a lifetime" as his yearlong protege.

After her "firing," the 30-year-old claimed former contestant Ereka Vetrini had called her the "n-word." Vetrini has vigorously denied the allegation, as have executive producers Mark Burnett and Trump.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Manigault-Stallworth, a former political consultant, said her experience showed the problems of racism in corporate America.

"Both of those gentlemen weren't there, so I find it ironic that they would be so emphatic that something did not happen."

Vetrini has noted that contestants are taped constantly, and had such an incident occurred, it would have been caught on tape.

"Believe me, I know what I experienced," Manigault-Stallworth said. "Those women called me every name in the book on-camera. Imagine what they did off-camera. Imagine what they would say in the corridors."

Still, Manigault-Stallworth said she watches the show, which will end with a live two-hour finale on April 15. "I may be the black sheep of that family, but I'm certainly a part of that family."

Manigault-Stallworth is negotiating a book deal and a talk show, and is interested in doing political commentary for the upcoming presidential election.

The preview for next weeks looks very interesting. I'll look for the yesterdays to rerun on MSNBC so I can catch up. Any comments on last nite's episode?

I am glad to see Katrina go. Like Heidi, I never saw her do anything either. I'm glad Amy said something about Katrina using her sexuality too much. I'm glad Kwame's team has finally won something. I admire Amy for keeping it real about her strategy and her intentions. She's in it to win it.

OMAROSA IS BACK NEXT WEEK

abaici 04-02-2004 02:42 AM

I was on the edge of my seat!! I was so upset that Kwame's team lost the challenge. I think they worked really well together and the planning was on point. But, yay Kwame.

Editing is very interesting. My initial reaction after realizing that Amy and Nick won was that it was unfair. However, I then felt manipulated. We saw the other team calling, working hard, and making deals. The other team was on the couch. Since they had clients, I realize that they were working hard. But, since Amy didn't know the average rental cost for the room, I still don't think they worked hard enough. So, I return to..NOT FAIR!! Why am I stuck on this fairness thing?? lol

OMAROSA IS BACK NEXT WEEK

I know!!! I'm really suprised about that! Well, at least we kno it's ogoing to be good.

As for Troy, I KNEW he was going home today the minute they began discussing his education level (he never even attended college or earned a BA, and has made mistakes) vs. Kwame (who has an MBA and has also made mistakes)...

Kwame is definately next, b/c all he does is ride off of everyone else's coattails...

stardusttwin 04-02-2004 03:15 AM

I can't imagine why they are bringing Omarosa back-I hope its not just creative editing just to inspire drama-we have two people to get fired next week-her 15 minutes are done lets concentrate on the current contestants.

I'm gona go out on a limb and make a prediction...

next week 2 people get cut-I'm predicting Amy then Bill with the finalists being Kwame and Nick.

Katrina was quoted as saying Kwame had won the entire contest but this wasn't true (or verifiable) since the last episode will be (or is supposed to be) live. However that led me to believe that Kwame had to at least survive to be a finalist and her simpleton mind didn't know this when she was running her mouth off. This week, Mr Trump seemed very impressed with Kwame's MBA and doesn't seem phased by Kwame's textbook approach. While Amy impressed me in the past she got by this week on luck and Nick's hard work- I'm sure the editing had something to do with it but I agree with abaici-it really didn't seem fair that they won. In any case Amy is getting cocky, her armour is showing holes and I don't think she will be the ultimate winner.

So I'm out on a limb and predicting Kwame as the winner. Its in writing now, no turning back!

Rain Man 04-02-2004 01:52 PM

The show has officially tanked.

As much as I give props to all the brothers and sister TCBing, I have to say that Kwame should've been the one to go.

Compared to Troy, his track record was pitiful, 3X as PM, only won once, whereas Troy was PM several times, and won at least twice. Add that to the fact that his quick thinking on his feet has garnered numerous victories for his team, and WITHOUT a college education.

The Fans of Reality TV website has a list of Apprentice statistics, and b/t Troy and Kwame, Troy's track record was by far superior. I will have to pull up the stats and post them here for you to review. The Donald's rationale that Troy could be a loose cannon at times was pure bulljive--it was a front for his lack of higher education.

I really was rooting for Troy to get the apprenticeship, but right now I really don't care who Trump gives it to.

Good luck to the foursome.

ETA: I think that whole thing of AmyNick winning the contest at the last minute appeared to be severely rigged. You saw it; Protege had a signed contract and was out the door, while you saw in the lobby Amy and Nick sitting there looking defeated and whipped and all of a sudden one of the prospects has a "sudden" change of heart at the last minute and we're supposed to believe that they secured a victory like the fornicating U.S. Calvary came to their rescue? Come on, now, let's cut the bulljive. I find that hard to believe.
