The Incorporator

Although she was an Incorporator, Nellie Quander gets my vote. I can appreciate her for standing up for what she believed in and how she worked hard to make sure that the efforts of the initial founders were not lost forever.
I think it's so amazing that she just happened to be in attendance when there was discussion of the changes planned for the sorority.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc was obviously meant to be here, and Ms Quander took it to new heights by incorporating, setting up new chapters, and working at the first advisor to the Alpha Chapter.

Just like Ms Quander, I stand up for what I believe in and there will be some "discussion" if you try to change my beliefs without coming to me with some sound reasoning.

:) I admire Soror Nellie Quander who persevered despite the challenges and fights for what she believes in! Somehow I like to believe that I have that same spirit in me!

Good Question

I think that I am most like Soror Nellie Quander because she was so full of fire and zeal and during the conflicts of 1913 she spear headed efforts to make sure that Alpha Kappa Alpha became an incorporated body. She was a strong minded strong willed person and there are so many other accomplishments that I could list for Soror Nellie Q but I dont need to her legacy speaks for itself

I think I am more like Soror Marie Woolfolk Taylor. Not only does the history say she was a "snazzy" dresser (as myself) she was often all upon to speak for the group. (I am a Broadcast Journalism major) and she majored in English (which is my minor) and one more thing that is interesting: She performed with the dramatic club and I was inducted into the International Thespian Society in high school and went to State two years in a row for my performances!:)
